I am happy to update my earlier review. The customer service team as per my below really lets this product down. When the product works it is excellent, but when it doesnt for weeks and it is impossible to contact customer services you are left with a product with an issue you cant resolve which is very expensive.
That said, they have now been in contact and they have updated me and as of today the issue is resolved. It does concern me how long they were uncontactable in any way, then I leave reviews on various platforms and I hear within a few days. Excellent product, customer service needs ALOT of work.

I want to help you before you fall into the position I have. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to with this one.
I have spent hundreds of pounds with this company after I suffered a seizure in 2025 which left me without a car or licence. So I got a bike and purchased the ebike ultra helmet, 4 fireflys, the 4 way firefly charger, rear mount and remote. Within a week of getting fireflys a mandatory firmware update stopped me being able to access any of the devices on the app. When it fails in the app, it gives you a resource but this is for the helmet only, NOT the lights. Without being able to complete the mandatory firmware update, it leaves you locked out of the devices in the app. So you cant change position of the lights, light sequences. Any of it. You are left with a light that turns on and off. Thats it without the app. I have emailed support 3 times as well as sending instagram and facebook messages. You get absolutely no reply.Now I find myself 200-300 pounds down and it is literally impossible to get hold of customer service no matter how you think to try and get hold of them.
Hate to say it folks. A company we have all seen before. Throw a ton of money at a load of marketing with a product that doesnt actually work properly. They make the cash and the product doesnt work as advertised as well as having a non existent customer service team. We've all seen plenty of these companies before - Dont get caught out by them and end up hundreds of pounds down the drain.

An inattentive or impatient drive could cause harm. I have the Lumos and firefly lights offering lights on my helmet and bike with synchronized flashing lights.

Not only is the helmet fulfilling its promises. But every single time I reached out to support, I got a very fast response and great support. This company seems to value its customers very well.
I have lost a part, they replaced it for free, no question asked.

Purchase at your peril
Purchase at your peril. Great helmet until the tensioning wheel for the retention strap broke. Followed the helpful directions on the website and tried four (4) times to reach Lumos via their listed email support. Absolutely no response whatsover. No phone number to call. No way to contact the company. LBS's think they are in the process of going out of business. Helmet is now a flashing desk ornament.
The helmet works - wear one
My wife had one of the earliest versions of what is now the Lumos Ultra and it may well have saved her life. In broad daylight, a car turned across her without warning when she was travelling at more than 20mph down a steep hill. She remembers nothing more about the accident, suffering concussion effects for a fortnight afterwards, but without the helmet the consequences don't bear thinking about. A life-changing brain injury or death, quite possibly. The insult to add to the injury is she now has to buy a new helmet - and these aren't cheap - but the lights and extra visibility when it's dark at least offer some extra protection against careless drivers.
Amazing features
Amazing features, safety and great look and feel - gotta love Lumos helmets, especially having the full ecosystem with front and tail lights synchronised! Got my second helmet today and can’t wait to give it a try! Customer service is also great.
The worst experience in buying anything in my life ever!!!
For a couple of months now, I've been back and forth with Lumos regarding my order that I didn't receive (which is a bike helmet backed up as a project on Kickstarter), but they keep sending the same email every single time requesting the same info, and I reply every single time, but no answer from them... After I got fed up with all of this, I requested a full refund, so now they're claiming that the order is delivered (which is not)... furthermore, the order itself is missing the helmet according to the PledgeBox site when I click on the "View Order" button; no helmet in my order...
So after delaying the original delivery time a couple of months (which was supposed to be in May according to their project on Kickstarter), they're not sending the item I backed in the first place, and now they claim they delivered it when I mentioned the refund... and I'm still sending emails... and I'm still waiting for a reply!!!
