I need to see while riding!
Today, I unpacked my new helmet to ride my new Eajora Pro II EBike!! This is a beautiful helmet and I love the integrated lighting system.
The problem I am an eye-glass wearer and the face shield does not accommodate that. I can’t NOT wear my glasses when riding as it’s a license requirement. Is there a larger eye shield to replace this one available?!

I bought a defective helmet from their…
I bought a defective helmet from their website, which I didn’t notice straight away, and opened a PayPal case to solve the issue as their customer service never responded. In the end, I was unable to return the item because they failed to provide return instructions and left me to pay £185 for a defective helmet. Stay away from this seller and do yourself a favour and get your product elsewhere! Hugely disappointed!
I am deeply disappointed by this product and the customer support services and do not recommend it.
I've had a terrible experience with the lumos helmet. 3 months ago they pushed an update that left the helmet stuck in a firmware update loop, in an unusable state.
I contacted Lumos Support on April 22, 2025 (Ticket #102165) and have engaged in a lengthy email exchange, providing videos and detailed descriptions of the issue. Despite my efforts, Lumos Support has failed to provide a solution, offering only generic troubleshooting steps that do not address the core problem. I have repeatedly requested guidance for a hard reset or instructions on how to send the helmet for service, but these requests have been ignored or met with unhelpful responses.
I afterwards claimed warranty and another chain of emails started with lumos support asking for information I had already provided.
This makes me think that they are only stalling so that the helmet goes out of warranty.
I am deeply disappointed by this product and the customer support services and do not recommend it.
Everything about Lumos is wrong
Everything about Lumos is wrong. Its products are inferior. Its client service is hapless, incapable, non-responsive. The helmet I bought was a Matrix. Switching it on was always finnicky, until it no longer switched on. Reason: flawed design. As the on-button is integrated in the straps, the cabled get disattached easily. Also, the helmet did not want to pair with the phone repeatedly. Return to sender of helmet 1. Lasted under a year. My first experience with the client service was not too bad. Enter its replacement: an Ultra e-bike. Seemed a sturdier built. It lasted less than 3 months before problems began. Reason: bad software design. At the 1st attempt to update the firmware, the helmet turned into a X-mas tree, with all light blinking intermittently. Nothing helped. Most disappointing however is the utter uselessness, disregard and lack of professionalism of Lumos client service. It took me three months for them to actually engage in a conversation, despite repeated reminders. Of course, it used all the tricks of the book: ignore messages, provide incomplete information, ask the client to do the same useless procedure over and over, while pretending to want to help. Of course, Lumos does not provide a postal address nor does it provide you the contact details of the complaints department when you ask for them. Everything gets channeled through a single form, which allows the company to slice up communication chains and ignore complaints. I wanted a refund and in the end I got a replacement helmet. How long is nr. 3 going to last? I'm betting on 2 weeks. I'm deeply disappointed and disgusted by Lumos and its products. I consider the company to be a fraud.
Do not buy Lumos Products
My remote stopped working. I received a standard pre-written response which was of no use. After that all emails to customer service went unanswered. Customer service is non existent and they do not honour their stated warrantee. Don't buy their products.
Helmet is awesome but poor repairability
Helmet is awesome but there's still a lack of repair parts or manuals. Or even a proper way to dispose it at the end of its life.
The lights are so cool
The lights are so cool, very bright. Used my headlight to read a book and my bike will be here in a few weeks so I’m excited to get on it safely with this great helmet. I have the helmet in white and I love the color. I almost kept the protective sticker on the “goggles” ( that’s what my dad calls it) I thought it looked cool then I went to charge it and realized it says to peel it off so I put it on my mirror until someone notices it. Super comfortable on and feels very safe.

I can’t find out how to pair my remote signals to my helmet. I’ve also tried to submit my #Warranty via your Lumos helmet. CO/Support. Using my camera, but has it has not worked despite a valid serial number I’ve tried this repeated times and does not work. It would certainly be nice if I could talk to a representative of Lumos directly because all other measures have failed.
Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service, if you can even call it service - seeing they haven’t responded to my ticket for weeks now. All I’ve heard from them is a mass sent “ We’re working on your request —hang tight!” since submitting a ticket in 3 weeks ago. I’ve gone back to my Hovding helmet, as I don’t trust a company who completely abandon their customers who’ve spent hundreds of dollars on an “fancy” smart helmet after purchase.
Lumos Ultra E Bike Helmet
I purchased the Lumos Ultra E Bike Helmet from Lumos. Unfortunaley the firmware update through the Lumos app failed immediately upon receipt and the lights of the helmet were not functional afterwards. Reset by charging the helmet failed. Customer support did not answer for one month despite several emails. Customer support by phone was not available and nobody called me back. I never received any technical advice or support.
After exactly one month I received an email with an eddress where I can send the helmet to return it, and that I need to do this within one month of delivery of the helmet. I answered that this is not possible as I received the instruction only after one month, no reply so far.
Also, the email said that Lumos does not cover the costs for sending the helmet back and that the risk if it is lost is with me. Further, the helmet must be in the original packaging with all stickers, and they will decide upon receipt if they accept the returned item.
After this disappointing experience, I will never buy from Lumos again.

Bought an ultra ebike helmet specifically because I commute in the dark and wanted signals. Everything was great for about six weeks, and then the app stopped syncing, and now the helmet doesn't work at all. I've written customer service multiple times and contacted them every way I could think of, and have received no response in more than a month. Go with a different company.

I bought a Lumos helmet expecting…
I bought a Lumos helmet expecting quality, but the after-sales service is terrible. The cable that turns the lights on and off disintegrated on its own, making the lights stop working. It’s a design flaw—this shouldn’t happen—and instead of offering a fix, they expect you to buy a whole new helmet. I’ve tried contacting them for ages, but they take forever to reply. For such an expensive product, this level of service is unacceptable. There are plenty of cheaper, better-supported options out there—don’t waste your money on Lumos.
Lights stopped working. V poor customer service.
My Lumos Helmet lights stopped working after 3 months. I have emailed customer support, and sent a video explaining the issue. I received a single, unhelpful email after 2 weeks, and have not heard back again for another 2 weeks after asking for a return address for a refund/replacement. I am really disappointed because it was an expensive purchase.
Disastrous after sales customer support…
I bought a Lumos Matrix MIPS helmet, and after a few months, the remote control turned out to be defective. I contacted the seller to exchange the remote, the helmet being still under warranty, but they redirected me to Lumos.
At first, Lumos responded to my emails, but after numerous exchanges where I had to repeatedly explain my situation, they finally sent me a replacement remote... which was not compatible with my helmet. Even worse, when I tried to pair my helmet with this new remote, the helmet started to malfunction completely.
I contacted Lumos again, but their customer service was supposedly on Christmas vacation (on January 22!). Then, they gave irrelevant responses, and despite my many follow-ups, they eventually stopped replying altogether.
In short, either this company is in total disarray, or they are trying to evade their responsibilities and avoid replacing products under warranty. A disaster. Avoid at all costs!

Bought a Fly Pro helmet with firefly from Ebay seller so I can't vouch for Lumos on that department.
However the helmet is top notch quality, extremely light and fits brilliantly along with the MIPS.
The firefly is brilliant and works extremely well with the Lumos app. Ive changed the light settings to how I want them to flash.
The light when fitted to the helmet is snug and secure and is easily bright enough.
The charger is type C so this is great as my phone is also type C.
I think this is a game changer and I'm thinking about saving up so that I can buy the two rear lights and use them as indicators. Very good value, great quality, seriously impressed.
Lumos makes an excellent, safe and full-featured bicycle helmet
Lumos makes an excellent helmet with outstanding safety features, a comfortable fit and state-of-the-art directional/visibility lighting. We are about a 1000 miles in with Lumos and have zero complaints. For the most part, the operation of the helmet and lights is pretty intuitive; however, a thorough reading of the users guide will certainly help the owner to optimize the performance of this great product.
