The string trio did an excellent job…
The string trio did an excellent job performing Beatles' music and the church setting was lovely. Thankfully it wasn't a hot evening or the church sanctuary would have been very uncomfortable. The candles were a nice touch, but the light from outside diluted the effect a bit. There was a Bluetooth connection issue with an audible notification that interrupted flow a bit, and the lead violinist was not always clear in his announcements. I don't think I would go to another Lumos event because the value for the money was not what I would have expected, plus tips were suggested in addition to our having paid the ticket price.

Beautiful performance
What a beautiful performance! The three string were extremely talented. A wonderful instrumental tribute to Sinatra, my grandmother and I had the best time. Sunny from parking was also very accommodating + helpful with the handicap parking. Definitely will be looking forward to more shows with Lumos!

My wife and I travelled to Beith Parish Church to the Coldplay recital.
The whole experience was emotional, uplifting and nothing short of brilliance. The violins and cello musicians were outstanding.

Disappointed…
Despite paying for Gold tickets we were seated 5 to a pew 5 rows back (lots of empty space around us and completely empty rows). Couldn’t see any of the performers due to other people’s heads obscuring my view the entire time.
The performers voices and the musicians were marvellous, but the experience was poor due to the seating issue.

Buy platinum seating to get a view
We bought gold tickets and unfortunately couldn’t see them playing as they were sitting down. We had been to other similar events at same venue and the only one sitting down was the celloist (which was understandable).
I felt some of the music didn’t translate well to violin/cello which was a shame as I so looking forward to it.

High Praise Indeed
Wasn't sure whether this kind of experience would appeal to me - listening to the music of Coldplay, played by classical musicians. However, I absolutely loved it, every piece was excellently executed by the three outstanding musicians. I would highly recommend the Lumos experience, and I will definitely be doing it again. So many venues, so many styles and so many choices!

It was a truly beautiful and peaceful experience. The atmosphere in the cathedral, surrounded by candlelight and incredible jazz, was simply magical.
I loved watching the musicians perform with such passion and attention to every detail. They were all incredibly talented, and the singer’s voice was absolutely divine.
For that one hour, I completely disconnected from everything and felt like the whole world had stopped. I highly recommend this experience to everyone who loves jazz as much as I do. ✨
