Lunch became a True Nightmare
Lunch for my friend and I turned into a Nightmare ! We decided on trying "Lyngkroen", situated on Rørvig vej. After waiting for some time a waitress came to sit us and already there we could feel bad vibes.....I asked for butter since there was only margarine... The waitress nearly bit off my head and snarled that "Here, we only serve this kind." Then we ordered and my friend ordered a Danish speciality, minced meat formed as a steak. I ordered a fish dish. On the menu it said several different fish and caviar. There was only 2 fishes on my plate, one undefinable, the other torsk AND NO Caviar (!) My friend, when she carved the steak in half, it was dry and totally grey. To make a long story short, one thing happened after another. She sent the dish back and the cook came out and in a condescending tone told her that "everybody" knew that raw meat is equal to Salmonella. Therefore we serve all meat totally well done. His tone was most unpleasant and to top it all, when I asked for the bill, it was for over 400 dkkk (!) with my friend's steak on the bill ! The one she sent back and did not eat. When we told the waitress that we would only pay for what we had eaten, she again called a man who threatened us that he would call the police, to which my friend replied: "Certainly. Do that !" We waited for 10 minutes outside, it is 2 days ago and the police have still not showed up. The Service, the food, the whole place oozed of Incompetence, Bad Service, Poor food and trying to cheat customers. So all You out there, BE WARNED and DO NOT eat or visit Lyngkroen. That is, unless You are a Masochist ! :)
