This is my second time buying from Mad About Specs and both times I received very good quality glasses. The customer service was outstanding and my order arrived very early. Will definitely keep buying my glasses from here :)

I was very impressed with Mad About Specs. It was my first order and they arrived in good time with good communication. The glasses were crystal clear and perfect perscription. They also. Ame in a strong case which I like. I will definitely order from them again.

My repeat purchase was easily completed. The instructions were clear and straight forward to follow, after which I could track and monitor the progress of completing the order.
Glasses arrived in a couple of weeks, perfect fit, excellent Varifocals, 1st class service.
Used before and shall use again.

If you are looking for new glasses, you will not be disappointed and you will save a couple of bob over high street providers, win win .

MAS goes above and beyond and their glasses are excellent and really comfortable :)

I tried a range of home-trial glasses providers - big and small companies. Mad About delivered their trial pack as quickly or quicker than the others. Communication was great and returning the trial pack was easy. Of the four or five other companies Mad About had the frames that I wanted. Well made, the right look - not too flashy, not too plain. Everything was handled really well and my finished glasses arrived quickly (with a little personal note). A really good service and I was happy to support an independent business.

Sent the wrong glasses and refused to acknowledge their mistake, tried calling them, couldn't get through, ansaphone says leave a message and we'll get back to, left two messages and no reply! Would not recommend this company to anyone.
Update :- So now Madabout specs decide to put my private information for all to see and still refuse to accept they could have made a mistake, yet the response is full of spelling and grammar mistakes! Also it wasn't yesterday that I called it was last week so were your phone lines down then?

I had bifocal glasses made. They took much longer than I expected. The team were very good with responding when I made enquires chasing up my order but i should have been told clearly about the length of wait when I ordered. The glasses arrived and are not great. The line between the bifocal is harsh and very visibly, making for an uncomfortable wearing experience. Not great.

If for the final product and price alone, I would rate 4 stars. However, it was a bit of a roller coaster until the final product was delivered.
The main issues were how it took to deliver the first set of glasses and the fact that these had to be returned due to poor quality. Glasses were odered on the 25/07/21 and sent on the 12/08/21. The explanation for the delay was quite unsatisfactory. Following my enquire for the delay, I was told that i needed to sent photo/scan of the prescription. This was a few days before receiving the glasses.
Glasses received but had to be returned as the temples were scratched. This was communicated on the same day, a return arranged and a brand new pair sent on 19/08/21.
Glitches happened and that is why i'm not rating 2 starts as i'm happy with the end product. Nonethless, i do believe that better quality control and clarity around what documents are required when ordering (to avoid any possible delays), would've increased my rating.

Glasses re-glazed and arrived today. Intermediate focals but just exactly what I needed for using the computer screen. Thanks for this, its nice to have something that really works well!
