Aidan Albert, our broker at Magnet, is superb. We had a flood when a new pipe connection was incorrectly fitted during a boiler installation and water gushed through two floors. Aidan has gone above and beyond to help us deal with the loss adjuster from hell. He has helped to keep my wife and me sane. He is unfailingly helpful and competent as he always has been over many years.

DIFFICULT TO CONTACT THEM ignored emails
DIFFICULT TO CONTACT THEM ignored emails we have had a storm damage caused by a recent storm ..the surveyor came to review our roof .very abrupt and with one objective to decline our claim..my husband and I have never had to claim on our insurance and the roof damage was very stressful ..we needed help to resolve... minimum contact had to chase ..not resolved .. v unhappy.

Hi Angela, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the issues you have had with the claim. As the broker for the insurance we do not have any control over the insurers claims handlers and unfortunately are not able to get involved in the claims process. We did contact the claims handlers with your comments on the 21st December however and were advised that repair works had been completed at the property during the time of the loss adjustors visit. The claims handlers had also appointed their own loss adjustor to get a second opinion on the claim and will contact the claims handlers back as soon as his report has been completed.

Polite, knowledgeable and efficient
Beth Woolley was very helpful on the phone giving new quotes for properties. She was patient, knowledgeable and efficient, following up quickly with the necessary information on email. The phone was answered promptly with no long wait queue and she engaged fully with the problem in hand providing a very good result thank you.

Check policy wording even after giving clear requirements
Despite being crystal clear in policy requirements I discovered that an incorrect policy had been issued. A pleasant gentleman has put the right but it has cost significant extra and did leave us without adequate cover for a time. Read your policy wording is my advice as with so many nowadays, they do not listen and write down the correct information. Had I had time I would seek an alternative. Up until now I have been pleased with the service

Magnet's premiums are very good value
Magnet's Beth Woolley wrote to me in good time, so I could check with other insurance providers a few weeks before the renewal date. I checked with Go Compare,, Magnet's premiums were much lower and better value than any other insurance provider, so it was an easy decision to renew.
