Air Greenland has the best service out…
Air Greenland has the best service out of all airlines going in/out of Greenland for sure. They’re also the airline with the best and most experienced pilots flying in arctic conditions, by far.
They’re always quick and friendly at customer service. And adhere to all rules regarding traveling etc., if you lose your luggage etc.
I highly, highly recommend them.

Dash 8 Wonder
This flight on a Dash 8-200 was the best fight I have ever had on a small plane. The service was phenomenal, the meal tasted great, and the pilot kept us informed and entertained. In addition, the views while approaching the airport were out of this world.

In the end, everything turned out well
We booked our flights directly through Air Greenland and not through booking.com or similar providers. I would always recommend doing so. The weather in Greenland is unreliable. Delays or flight cancellations seem to happen more often. It happened to us on our flight home from Ilulissat via Nuuk to Copenhagen. We were stranded in Ilulissat with three children. The staff at the airport were very helpful and did their best. They can't do anything about the weather either. We were given accommodation twice and vouchers for meals. We would have had to spend a third night in Ilulissat. We were told that we could only check in if we found a hotel or similar accommodation in Nuuk ourselves. All hotels were fully booked. We were lucky and found an Airbnb. Air Greenland reimbursed the costs. The reimbursement took almost three months, but it did arrive. That's why I'm deducting one star. Communication with customer service worked well. The flight from Nuuk to Copenhagen was delayed and was diverted via Aalborg. No problem, we got home again. Thank you, Air Greenland!

You are absolutely right that booking flights directly with the airline makes it way more smooth if irregularities occur. Our possibilities to help and adjust bookings made through other companies are limited. Weather in Greenland can indeed be unpredictable, and while we can’t control it, we do our best to support our passengers with accommodation and meal vouchers when disruptions occur.
We understand that waiting almost three months for reimbursement was frustrating, and we’re working hard to speed up these processes. Your feedback helps us improve both communication and handling of such cases.
