Mike's processes and systems are built on the back of years of experience directly within the music industry and subsequent years of coaching. Thus, his programs don't focus on following youtube style "how to sound like...", instead Mike focuses on you implementing creative processes and systems that fully exploit your own skills. I set out to create an album this year and following Mike's 12 week "Make an album" program. I have not only created an album, I have enough tracks to plan the second, with music I could not plan or think up. If you are serious about your creativity and not just watching youtube tutorials, I cannot recommend Mike's coaching enough.

This morning I listened to my mix and realized that I need to remove the delay in the outro of the song, because according to my song arc, this part of the song has to express hope, and delay adds unnecessary tension.

All of this (morning mixing session, understanding my song arc and how to act with purpose) wouldn't be possible before taking this course.

I’ve never taken a course that was this thoughtfully designed or that shifted my mindset so deeply.

It feels that Mike is sharing EVERYTHING he knows, and that he really wants you to succeed.
He shares his system (yes, very complicated one!), but when you are open to it, it works. Beautifully.

I can’t recommend this program enough. Mike’s dedication, patience, and genuine commitment to making sure you understand the process are something special.

Just remember that if you’re feeling stuck or confused, someone else has already been there (I was for a long time). Every step of the process is broken down with simple explanations and visual examples, which help to understand the process.

I know how frustrating it is when you feel stuck and not able to express yourself through music. I highly recommend this program if you want to finally break free 🙌💫

Mike is like a musical doctor who can diagnose and help you treat your musical problems. I’m extremely glad I discovered MAWM as it’s finally got me going with my music after so many years. I don't think I can say the same for many other courses I have come across online, this one feels special and I really hope Mike continues it into the future!

I really love Mike's approach to working on music, whether it's a single track or an album. His programs provide a lot of tools to be "objective" and make progress without relying on mood or inspiration. His recent discoveries provide a bunch of insight into how we can use AI to complement the process of making and releasing music with business opportunities.

I was very apprehensive before starting this program. I didn't know what to expect or if it would help, but I had nothing to lose as my current creative process was not working or enjoyable.

MMYL has completely changed all that. I am more productive, organised and (most importantly) enjoying the process of making music more than ever before.

Mike won't teach you how to use a compressor, but he'll show a mindset, approach and workflow that removes so many of the psychological obstacles us producers struggle with.

If (like I did) you spend an age obsessing over each track you write, hardly finish anything and find the whole process a laborious mental struggle, then MMYL is for you.

But you'll need an open mind!

MMYL has literally changed my life, from being a fearful and reluctant creative - to taking action on what matters most to me on a daily basis.

Mike has come up with an incredible way of working that allows for the utmost creativity to flow and simultaneously be the most organized and productive one can possibly be. All the while defeating the demons of doubt, judgment, and worthiness, with simple joy and delight in the creative process.

Thanks to the Make Music Your Life courses, I've been learning to write my own music with much more ease, grace and wisdom, with philosophies and systems that enhance the artist's way exponentially.

This program went (for me) way beyond just making and finishing music. It's personal, and the journey has only started. Thank you, Mike, coaches, and, last but not least, the wonderful community of musicians!

Long story short, I am publishing music because of this course. I have started to actually make music last year in April. I can't stretch enough how much the structure of this course has helped me to understand how to approach music making and releasing it. Not only from the technical point of view, but more than anything else, from the inside, from my own head.

Hand on heart, this experience has surpassed all my hopes and expectations. Mike and his wonderful team provide a unique space to guide you through the process of creating music from conception to completed album. The positive knock on effects in other areas of your life are an added bonus. If you’ve ever been a procrastinator, you will find that this will dissolve as you progress through the program. The structured approach is a lifeline to any home producer, and helped me overcome the overwhelm of possibilities that exist in the studio. At the core is an exponential increase in the amount of music you make, followed by a methodical approach with how to complete those musical ideas. It’s enabled me to make my first solo album of credible music I’m proud to release. I can’t say enough positive things about it. 🙌

Good tips but definitely not a finished demo

It seems Mike Monday has cracked the code of creativity…
It takes a while to get it… but once you let go of your old beliefs and habits and try out his unusual approach and way of thinking you‘ll be rewarded with an almost magical growth as an artist.
The music machine is so simple yet so complex… it feels like your creativity is on steroids.

What a terrific experience this program has been! From the individual attention given to my specific road blocks, to the potential for self actualization to the artistic community. Not to mention the amount of music I was able to create!

great coaching experience. everything is broken down and geared towards maximum productivity and creativity for very little effort. he uses basic human tendencies to kind of "trick" you into making more and better music. also excelelnt sense of humour!

This is my 5th times join the class, I am about to release 5 Albums as the result . I still cant believe what happened Thought out the Journey , Its much easier then I thought as somebody wrote it for me , but Its me writing it note by note , but I cant remember... its very unique Way to find My relationship with music . As it's International Thank You day, i thought it was only fitting that I wrote this review. I have done many Mike Monday courses from Make Music Your Life and I've benefitted from them in soooo many ways.

Before I had any contact with Mike, I was a such a perfectionist and concentrating on one idea, for months on end with very or no progress at all. His courses have unlocked my mind and my perfectionism to create music I didn't think even was possible. One of the most impactful things that Mike has designed is the Music Machine and it's Trello template which is an amazing. Getting all those ideas & tracks into an organised place, out of your head so you can clearly see where you're up to on each project, for me, this was a game changer. I highly recommend any music artist to get their own free template on the website 👍🏻

All of Mike's courses have got 'The Why' behind them and this is what I love. We can all be told to 'do this' and 'make that like this artist' etc but we don't learn anything from it, nor will it really excite you as an artist. I have learnt this, first hand.

The way Mike's teaches things, is for you to find out who you are, what type of artist you are and gain knowledge from 'doing', not watching or consuming content. In this day and age, people want to be told what to do, quickly but really...... you won't find yourself or your own music by doing this. Trust me. Mike will support you through the whole process and you can ask as many questions as you like and the group will all benefit from this.

Everyone speaks about "workflow" and "the perfect this and that" but if you don't find out for yourself, like me, you will always wonder, "what if i do that, or do it like (insert artist name)". I watched many YouTube videos on 'how to's' but just because it works for them, doesn't mean it'll work for you, or at best, give you any sort of satisfaction whilst creating. Where is the satisfaction is 'I can know create the same sound as (artist X)'?

Through all of Mike's courses, they have enabled me to think outside of the box, realise what I love and WHY i love these things, which for an artist, is essential. Especially, in line with all your previous musical inspirations and influences. This has strengthened and been epitomised in Mike's course, Make an Album With Mike (MAWM).

I was that person who thought 'I can't even finish lots of music, let alone release an album' so I joined the original MAWM course so i could finally achieve something I've always wanted to do. Through his techniques and self-discovery, yes, i released my first album. Not just an album of randomness, but one with tracks that actually meant something to me and in a track order whilst portrays the story i wanted to tell, like a true artist.

Now we are onto, Mike's latest course which is Make a Unique Music with Mike and this is where it's really kicked off. Mike himself continued to, along with his previous courses, to give me the tools and support to make more music and faster, which was great but there was something missing. I guess I was making 'vanilla' music which was bad versions of very well known, current artists so this wasn't rewarding for me.

On this latest course, whilst creating more music, this music is much more relevant to me and has instruments, samples, sounds etc which ARE relevant to myself and all my past days gone by. Discovering for yourself WHY you love all your past favourite songs, no matter what genre they are in and then incorporating the same features into your own music but in your own unique way, gives your music something which I've not had before. Just as an example of myself, joining elements from the legendary John Barry with classic indie / pop hit's of the nighties into my modern electronic music is leading down a path, i would not have thought of. But most of all, it has a Purpose to it and the feelings which I intend to portray. I'm not randomly trying these things..... they mean something to me and that is very fulfilling.

So.... overall, i recommend ANY of Mike's courses, because I've literally done them all but i've learnt so much, in my own way and discovered how and why it works for me. Mike will make you think and that's a good thing because then you will find how and what music you want to make.
