Make Music Your Life and the Magic Music Machine
I've been doing Mikes Make Music Your Life programmes for around 3 years now, on and off, depending on family and other commitments. I can say, with all honesty, that the way Mike has helped me develop my music, has changed how I think about music and making music and has allowed me to become the best version of myself as a musician, producer, songwriter, lyricist, sound engineer and artist! My life around music has also been changed for the better by doing the courses. Mike is always engaging, funny, deeply knowledgeable and respectfully gracious in his delivery of the course content. His love for what he does comes shining through the screen. Highly recommended.

This has been a fantastic course and completely changed to many areas of how I work on my music. I unfortunately booked this right around the time of my holidays so wasn't able to join in real-time to most sessions. However, I caught up on all the videos and followed the process and am getting huge value from everything I’ve learned. If you want to stop wasting time and money fiddling around with new toys and gadgets and actually get some music done this is for you.

The utlimate coaching to become an artist
Make Music Your Life....so much positive stuff to say that I don't know what to say. It's the music coaching place to be to improve your mindset and music. It's not about "how to make a bassline", like all that crap out there. It's about you, your approach and how to become a real artist. That's it, MMYL is about becoming a real artist like the biggest names out there and not another basic music producer who makes generic music.
Thanks to this coaching, I've started making a more unique style, doing DJ livestreams that are more like me, make way more music (weekly release) and have so much more fun making music.

AMM machine has been an invaluable experience for me. Mike Monday, Arash and the other coaches are incredibly helpful by sharing insightful techniques and philosophies. As a result I am working on more music than I can remember. We’ll worth the time and money invested!

A life changing experience
Taking the LEAP is the best decision I made this year. It's a process that still works inside of me. It's a shift, leading to a better and healthier way of understanding and approaching not only my music but myself. Finally I have a complete production process from start to finish. Sometimes I am still a bit overwhelmed by all the insights that pop off everyday but I guess that's a nice problem to have. One thing, you should be 100 % willing to do this! The amount of insights that will rise from your inner self highly depends on you and your commitment. As long as you DO THE WORK the outcome will just blow you away;) Promise!
I'm a believer
To be honest I can be a bit cynical with programs like this. But as you may have surmised by my 5/5 rating, this definitely won me over.
Yeah, the price is steep, but when you consider any other 8-week bootcamp (whether it's a coding camp or cooking class) those prices are about the same, if not more. The idea is to inject a high amount knowledge and value in a relatively short amount of time. And that's exactly what you get.
First 2 weeks are slow as you get introduced to new concepts. Week 3 and 4 the training wheels come off as you dive deeper into the Automatic music machine. Week 5 and 6 are quite busy as you simulate a "real-life deadline", but you'll have a clear path to a final goal. Week 7 and 8 are about creating a business and value in this new era of the music industry.
Each week you dive into a live coaching call with the class. This is typically for sharpening your mental game and then a few hours of Q&A.
As for my own results: I completely finished 4 tracks in 6 weeks. (Previously it took me a full year to complete 2 tracks.)
And that was the entire goal for me - finish more music. Everything else in the program was just a bonus.
Since the program ended 3 weeks ago I've kept up with the daily practice and completed 2 more tracks.
The real icing on the cake for me has been the extra content after the course. There's been some additional live calls, they host free Momentum Mondays and Splurge challenges, and you can join in all the future Leap classes.
Even as the course comes to a close it's not "good bye and good luck", it's more like "here's what we're doing next..." which I really like.
I'm feeling really good about the years to come after taking this course. And I highly recommend it to anyone who has struggled to finish music and has aspirations of creating a business from their art.

So worth it
This experience was well worth the money. It is has started a "machine" within my music making as well as creativity in general. It is also extremely addictive after you get the music machine working. If you are looking for coaching or sick of looking at tutorials I would highly recommend this.
Personally I feel like I learn the most when I am actually writing music or doing a mix. Like I can go to a tutorial and learn something or even like a course that has course material that teaches you stuff but for me I get the most out of it when I find it myself or need just one specific thing to learn from a tutorial. MMYL allowed me to pump out so much music and try so many different weird techniques and tricks that it gave me the freedom to have fun and learn while I was doing it. The learning came naturally as I was writing my music using the Automatic Music Machine.
That is probably really confusing ^^ but in short, I highly recommend it :D

The realest Leap
My name is Almaz Salikhov. I am a producer and artist from Russia, based in Finland.
I have known the Make Music Your Life project for about a year or so and since then, since I took the first Idea Generation Challenge by myself, the whole music making process was changed for me. The more I dived into his system, the more I understood what holded me back.
I knew about The Leap almost from the beginning because there is a very tight community and people are really going along, supporting and participating in live-streams, sharing their experience with new members, as I was. I knew that it was a long and intense programm, which I thought I couldn't afford. And that actually was the case.
But the more I create music with Mike's approach, the more far I become from my previous problems like "I don't know how to start" or "I stuck on Idea" or "I don't know what to do''. And I realised that I have so much new music, that I am actually getting lost in it, I need a system that will help me to handle this stream of ideas which in a time become just more and more. So in the end of 2020 I decided that I am going to take it next year, after summer, this will allow me to collect the money I need and slowly build the bank of material I am going to work with and practice what I already know — and that is already made a huge shift in how I work, how I think and how I see the process of music making.
But then I decided to go earlier because I had too much music (I know sounds like a "very bad problem" but that is the reality of it) and I needed a solution asap.
First of all I like the community part: it's very supportive, you get help if you don't understand something and there are people who already went through the experience in order to help you with the process.
One thing I liked about it as well is that before I used to participate in courses like that and it was very often that they solved one of my problems but not fully. Here you get everything in one place: a system of music making, tools to get your mind straight and free it up from limiting beliefs (it was crucial for me) and the business side with a step-by-step process of how to start building the business around the music you make.
During the learning process I started to release music every week, which also seemed impossible for me even one year ago. And I still keep my weekly schedule. Because of that I started to make lots of music, I noticed how my satisfaction of the music I make changed as well. The music became really MINE, I started to enjoy the process more, stopped waiting for a free 5 hours in order to even sit in front of the laptop.
Now I do
- more music faster
- I have systematic approach
- I have a map of business making process
- I have plenty of creative tools- my music started to sound like ME
- I kind of started feel like I am in control of what I am doing (not in a way That I know how to create what I want but in a sense that I know what i am doing in terms of a system i am working in, music making is not something that I wait for a "luck" or a inspiration to happen).
I just do it with full trust for the process and now I understand why it is called Leap.
Because it really feels like The Leap from where I was to where I am now. There were even few moments when I was laughing out loud in my studio when I realised that I made 15 tracks ready to release in 6 weeks. I was listening to them. I couldn't believe that I DID IT and I couldn't believe that I could possibly do something like this. And it was all happening in a face of me understanding that THIS IS ALL JUST THE BEGINNING of me riding this horse, which is really empowering. And it will just unfold in time.
It kind of affected not only my music life, but also other parts of it. And I won't stop saying how grateful I am to Mike and his team for what they are doing.
I wish for musicians who are thinking about taking a decision to participate in the program that they have a time machine so they could quickly jump to the placу I am now, feel the same and come back to make this decision earlier. Because after I took the program the only regret I had: why wouldn't I made it easier for me earlier.
Everything has been falling into one place in the last few months for me. My life and its direction is changing from one — to a Dream one — being a musician. And I already see the result. I feel like I have a deeper connection with my family because all of this saved my time and I can be effective speaking about quality tile with loved ones.
I am moving towards my dream which is an amazing experience by itself being inside of it, despite that the result will be amazing too
I become more skilled, confident. My vision is clearer. My goals are moving towards me, I have peace inside of my Heart. I found people that speak my language and have the same work ethic and the same attitude towards music.

Mike is a great coach
Mike is a great coach! I am super happy that I joined the tribe. I would highly recommend the leap to anyone serious about their music and anyone who would like to learn the automatic music machine. Bonus is the great community of other engaged leapers.

The Leap is excellent
I started The Leap this year as I was struggling to complete music I was making and also wanting to have some training on the business side of things. The course is excellent. The content is mainly via videos and it laid out in an easy to follow manner. With a weekly live coaching call for the class. You are also assigned a personal coach to assist you and to check up on your progress.
Mike is very good at being clear and making sure you understand the process. If there are any questions he and his team are quick and good at responding as well as the community on the message board. Mike gives a well researched and practised method for making music continually. There is a lot to take on which can feel overwhelming at times but I think this is a great thing as it shows the depth of the ideas and there is much to learn. Once you've signed up for The Leap you are a lifetime member and can take as many future Leap classes as you wish and have access to all the content plus loads more that delve into further detail as well as continued membership of the message board. Which is a great and supportive community of other musicians finding our way in this new landscape of making music. I would totally recommend The Leap for any aspiring musician of any age or ability.

Mike Monday’s The Leap will supercharge your music productivity
Mike Monday’s The Leap is a game changer in so many ways! if you are looking for a tried and tested process to writing and finishing more music than you can ever imagine, then this is for you. The course is perfectly crafted to let you install Mike’s Automatic Music Machine into your workflow resulting in a huge amount of new music and inspiration, then give you the tools to progress the music to release with clear and intelligent practices.
I am writing a ton of new music and now have the ability to process a lot more tracks at once.
The value I have received from the course is way more than the price of admission, forget a new synth or the latest software, invest in you and I guarantee it will supercharge your productivity.
With live zoom meetings, coaches on hand to answer any questions, and a community of like-minded artists, the Leap delivers on very level.
Best musical investment you’ll make in your life
Mike Monday’s Leap has changed my life. Period.
While in other reviews you’ll read on the amazing progress producers made with their music (the quality and quality of the music you’ll make after joining the leap will shock you), here I’ll focus on how Mike Monday actually changes almost any aspect of your life.
When joining the leap, you won’t learn about how to use a compressor and not on how you’ll get the best sound from your synth (and you will), you’ll acquire new habits, processes, activities and methodologies that you can apply in your daily job, relationship with your loved ones and relationship with yourself, it will help you get perspectives you weren’t aware of with about everything you do, hence will help you grow personally and professionally very quickly. Many a-ha moments in a very short time.
While Mike Monday coaches while focusing on your music, you’ll quickly discover he is a great life coach - period.
So in short - more than any synth or new gear, the leap is the best investment you can make for both your music and yourself!
Mike, many thanks for doing what you do 🙏

The most important purchase of my musical life
Make Music Your life is now the core music creation system that I use every day to create music faster and at higher quality than I ever thought possible.
I'm 52. I've been creating, playing, recording, composing, producing music for over 40 years. I've worked in professional recording studios. Over the past 10 years I heavily got into Ableton Live and in that 10 year span of time, I was able to create about 250 musical concepts ranging from simple segments all the way to about 20 completed songs. 10 YEARS! Most of those songs are "long lost" and disorganized. I had no idea how to move them forward, I'd get stuck, frustrated. Other times I'd push songs through to finish, working endless hours on them only to be hugely disappointed in the end result and not knowing why.
My wife is a professional Jazz singer and writer and we co produce and write material together, but sometimes it was a challenge to align on what we were doing with songs and where to take them.
I grew up in a very abusive environment where I was aggressively criticized for anything I did musically. I reached a point where I was in a cycle of doodling and never finishing... By Not finishing... I could avoid the FINAL JUDGEMENT of other people -- Oh you don't like that line? It is just a demo... That "shadow" loomed over all creative processes making it a high stakes game.
I approached music from the point of view of an engineer - I know my gear! I have lot's of it, but the more videos and gear I bought, it didn't make my output "that" much better. I became fairly addicted to the purchasing of the "next VST" and spent a lot of money. -- Not saying it was a waste, but no VST or youtube video was the thing that really "blew the doors off" of everything.
Eventually, I saw Mike's ad for the 11 day challenge and I was curious. I thought, what is this all about??? Who is this Mike Guy? So I did it. It changed everything for me. After I decided to take the Leap.
Transformed the way I think about creating music utterly. Transformed the way I think about myself as a creative being.
In 9 weeks, I was able to create almost 180 ideas and finished 4 songs that have been my best writing and my best mixes together - and every song, I know where it is and what I need to do next to move it forward.
This is just amazing and shocking.
My wife is stunned, my family is stuned.
I'm now in a position to move forward with my musical dreams and goals in a way that I never thought possible.
A few things to know... This course DOES work great on any genre of music. I write many different styles from EDM, Film Score, Folk, Rock, Country and Jazz. It absolutely works great.
This course is not "another" mixing/vst/compressors/reverbs/saturators/eqing tips course.
This is a course about creating great music that is worthy of mixing and getting it Done!
This is a course about making the process of creating great music FUN and engaging.
The quality, consistency of all the materials in this course are phenomenal. Its backed up by a thriving and positive community of people who really make it great.
I wish I had have taken this course when I first started out.
I proudly recommend this course to every artist or writer I meet.
Sincerely
Chris

Take the Leap!
Being ever the sceptic I have been blown away at how these courses have helped me to release finished quality music regularly. I have learned so much about the tools necessary to mentally prepare, organise and finish quality music.
And the best bit is you can take the course again and again each time they come around.
Oh and the community is supportive and friendly too👍
Coaching to help you get better at music and at life in general
I stumbled upon Mike Monday's work due to a recommendation in a random Youtube comment. I checked out the Idea Explosion Challenge and it seemed great so I signed up for it. It was such a fresh concept and such an enjoyable experience that I started looking into his other programs.
I signed up for the mission program and started doing the weekly missions. I then began to see that not only did he provide great creative prompts and ideas for music, Mike's content also has a big component of mindset and life management, which is something that really aligns with what I am looking for in my life.
I decided to sign up for The Leap, and while I was weary about the financial commitment in the beginning, I quickly found that it was all worth it. The Leap is a fantastic experience and it has kickstarted my creative output. I finished 12 songs during and shortly after The Leap, I had never done that even in the course of a year, and now I have a solid process that makes it easier and more enjoyable.
Definitely recommend this if you can afford it.
The LEAP is a great experience.
The LEAP is not like other online courses where you would go through content and gain some information. It’s a process where you have chance to get your ‘eureka moments’. It changes the way you think about your creative process. If you are struggling with some aspects of your music creation process the LEAP is a must try.
Loved it
Loved it! Really improved my speed of learning and making music.
One thing I wished was that there would be more focus on the creative side of things in terms of style and inspiration to create your own unique sound.
But overall a great experience.
