At my present situation (Week 4 of "The Journey"), I really enjoy the course because the approach is more on the feelings, harmony, melody,... than the technic approach. This one is taught but for me as tools for letting the feeling or/and creativity to express themselves.
I appreciated the other courses I follow but the Malte Marten method gives a different approach.

What a pleasant method this is to learn to master the handpan step by step and at your own pace. Despite my musicality, I keep learning thanks to Malte Marten's approach. The videos are clear. The programme offers space to make trips to other parts of the course and return again. It is a playful way of learning to play with lots of room for creativity. I highly recommend it and can continue with it for a long time.

Learning to play the handpan with Malte is so much fun! As a complete beginner, I feel very well-supported. He explains everything in simple terms, making it easy to follow along. His enthusiasm is truly inspiring, and he’s an excellent teacher. I’m so happy I decided to join this course!

...I am a rank beginner, and I am also old with lots of arthritis throughout my body and fingers..So, I can't learn as quickly as I used to when I learned guitar and keyboard. Anyone who has learned any instrument will have trouble getting their fingers to go and do what is expected until lots of practice and muscle-memory clicks in...So I am takin it slow..but see and feel improvement every day I practice. This program teaches in small easy steps of progression...So it avoids becoming discouraged too quickly...and that is very important when learning something new! I can easily recommend this program for not being overwhelming at first, for gentle-teaching methods, and for a reasonable price for the value it provides!...

I have been following Malte's performances on YouTube for a long time. I find his compositions very relaxing. After I bought my own hand pan I turned to his site to learn more about the basic rhythm and harmony techniques to make my own songs. The courses are spread out over a period of time so I can pick up new elements in each section. It's such a joy to have such an inspired teacher as a guide as I explore this fascinating new instrument!

He manages to learn to play with feeling and make it a pleasant experience. The guidance is also very clear

I bought online course of handpan fundamentals. The course is well structured, with clear instructions, the videos are short but engaging, so it's not overwhelming for a beginner. Malte's lovely personality and pure love for handpan shines through all the lessons, so the course is a really pleasant experience.

I've been there since the release of MMM. At this point I played handpan for 1-2 years.
I am convinced that MMM is the best way for a beginner to learn to play the handpan.
There's a great team behind MMM and the community of members is just as great.

The course is easy and fun to follow. I had my handpan since a year before signing up for Malte's course and felt a bit stuck. I was hesitating to sign up for another online course as I am not very disciplined with self-paced learning. I am glad, I did. Thanks to the course, a lot more flow came into my learning and right from the beginning I am now able to combine harmony, rhythm and melody even without a very sophisticated technique. My play is making good progress while being fun.

I absolutely love the way Malte and his team have brought together so much in-depth knowledge. It is both fun and easy to learn the new patterns through the great structure and crystal clear instructions in the videos. The weekly live calls add the otherwise missing piece and complement the course really well. For me it's a clear 5/5, a course I highly recommend to anyone wanting to improve their handpan skills or even when starting from scratch!

I liked Malte's free youtube tutorials better than some others, so chose to buy his online course after having learned all the free stuff. Happy with my choice. I really like his personality and style, the amazing structure to build step by step in a way that suits me with the freedom to chose patterns as a I feel from the library. Means I can go at my own pace. The tutorials are easy to follow and a good length to fit into my busy life. I like the pdf book and top tips in there and will keep using it as a reference. I have also booked onto one of Malte's in person beginners workshops and look forward to it.

Learning with Malte Marten and his approach to the handpan was magical.
The lessons are educational, and you want to go back every day until it becomes a habit and such a pleasure.
The platform is well-designed and intuitive, with a caring community that encourages every step and every share.

It's such a pleasure to learn to play handpan with the MMM. Also the combination with Notepan is very helpful. I never learned so fast and with enjoyment, as I do now. In 4 months (!) I've learned so much more, than in 4 years trying to play on my own.

The online community is warm, positive and stimulating. What really helps to stay connected, are the weekly Zoom calls.

The whole project shows how much effort is put in the course, by Malte, Chris, Konstantin, Maxime and other MMM guys & girls. And they keep on improving and developing. So my one time investment, is worth a lot!

My only concern is that in a few years, everyone will be playing the same style. Like I read in the reviews of my fellow students, I also love the Malte beat and kind of all the other pieces he teaches.

So change, stimulation of own creativity, and more different types of teachers/ styles is in my opinion, a point of attention for the future.

I liked the way of teaching, at first when I joined MMM I didn't understand what Malte was teaching, in my opinion it was just some grooves and nothing else that would make me evolve, I thought he was going to teach some of his songs or something like that. I started trying to practice his songs instead of taking the course, that's when I saw that his songs had the same "variation" that he taught in the course, then I understood that it wasn't just "grooves" but techniques to be able to use In terms of music, I highly recommend the MMM course, very rich in information, the only thing I miss is subtitles in Portuguese, but other than that it's wonderful.
