Honestly don't bother. All the other bad reviews are the truth... If there's a positive one then they are lucky or the mattress is very very new. Purchased a king size shine hybrid 2000 back in Jan 2... See more

I purchased a Mammoth Mattress from my…local independent furniture store
I purchased a Mammoth Mattress from my local independent furniture store. After a few weeks the mattress was delivered, unfortunately it was faulty and couldn't be used. It was replaced that day by the local store who gave us the shop floor mattress to use until a new replacement arrived. This mattress had less springs, 2000 I think. It was very comfortable right from the first night we slept on it, though it was a little firm.
A few weeks later the new replacement mattress arrived, the original one I had ordered, with no problems this time. This one has 6000 springs, is fabulous quality, very comfortable and supports the whole of the body, I can't fault it. It was a bit pricey but we wanted a good one that would last, time will tell. It is very heavy but luckily it doesn't need turning just rotating, easy enough to do. It's a very deep mattress and I needed to buy some new sheets.
Now we both sleep very well and in lovely luxurious comfort. We're really pleased with this purchase.
Finally the right mattress, thank you.
Having struggled to get the right mattress over several years at great expense we decided to go full out and purchase a Mammoth mattress. After taking notice of the excellent advice given at Barkers Department store in Northallerton we made our selection and boy was it worth it!! So comfortable yet supportive we finally feel like we gave found the one. Thank you Mammoth.
Mammoth Mattresses are brilliant!
We have a Mammoth 2000 pocket mattress. I had a bad car accident a couple years ago and this has been a godsend for my back. I can actually sleep properly and comfortably. It’s such a good mix between hard and soft, and really supports my back!
Couldn’t recommend Mammoth mattresses more!
Our second Mammoth bed
We purchased our first Mammoth bed 5-years ago and found that it is the most comfy bed that we have both ever had. We have now purchased another for another premises which is a new model and this bed is equally as good.
Cannot fault these beds or the service.
Brilliant mattress
Brilliant mattress - best we have ever had. High quality and so comfortable. Thank you
The best mattress we've ever had
The Mammoth mattress is the best that we have ever had. It's very comfortable and does not have any roll while still being supportive. I've had a history of back problems, and these have been reduced since getting the mattress and pillows
Awful mattress and terrible experience with Mammoth
Bought the Mammoth Shine Essential mattress to replace an old Mammoth mattress which we loved (although it only lasted about 7 years). Nightmare experience - bed started dipping at each side after a few weeks, bed company sent an independent expert to assess for a fault and measure the dips which needed to be about 3 inch deep before declaring a fault (which obviously after only a few weeks weren’t that deep) nonetheless the mattress was so uncomfortable and unsupportive. Took it up with Mammoth directly and sent countless emails even to their CEO and received no response! Raised an official complaint and eventually all they offered was to send the exact same inspection company out again (Home Serve) to do the same pointless assessment! So the warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on and we’ve wasted £900 - we donated it to charity after 8 months! Still livid and will never ever buy Mammoth again (also when we eventually bought a new bed from a local shop they said they used to stock Mammoth and they used to be good but they said they had gone downhill and they had stopped selling them - wish we’d gone to this store 8 months ago - would have saved us a lot of money).
Love both my new mattress and pillow
Love both my new mattress and pillow, my second from Mammoth and I'd shop nowhere else for my bed. Highly recommend - a great treat!
Super King hybrid style
I bought a Super King Mammoth mattress in January 2022 - I believe it was a hybrid style. I was originally introduced to the brand 4 years ago with a king size mattress (which my daughter is now sleeping on) and I have no complaints at all. So, so comfortable to sleep on and guests always say the same.
I am quite a restless sleeper so the thing I've always found with mammoth is not only do I sleep better (I always hate mattresses in hotels in comparison) but I don't ever wake my husband up if I'm having a restless night. I would definitely recommend a mammoth, very well made and even now I still climb into bed thinking how surprisingly comfortable it feels.
Very comfortable and supportive mattress
I decided to invest in a new mattress from Mammoth several weeks ago and I'm thrilled with the results. It is extremely comfortable. I am sleeping better, waking up feeling rested, and my back pain has also improved.
Love my Mammoth
I treated myself to a Shine mattress when I moved home recently and can't believe the difference it's made to my sleep. Really shows the difference that a new, supportive mattress can make. It's also much cooler than the memory foam mattresses I've slept on in the past, which always became uncomfortably warm during the summer.
Would definitely recommend.
Do not buy this brand!!!
We bought the mammoth mattress from Bensons for Beds during the lockdown and at first it was very comfortable. We were assured by the salesman that the mattress was covered by a 10 year guarantee and that it would not dip or sag. It is now less than two years since buying and I can honestly say that this mattress is the worst I have ever slept on. The mattress has been regularly rotated (weekly) and despite this there are two large dips, one on either side where we both sleep, and a mountain in the middle. There is no support at the edge of the mattress so it feels like you are on a downwards slope off the edge of the bed all night. I am waking up every half an hour or so to change positions due to being so uncomfortable. For a mattress costing over £1K I would not expect there to be issues in the first two years of usage! Please avoid buying this mattress brand. It is not worth the disruption to sleep and cost. We have now purchased a cheaper mattress from ikea which is very comfortable and costs a third of the price. Very misleading information about the guarantee and structure of mammoth mattress.
Bought a Mammoth Sky 270 king size…
Bought a Mammoth Sky 270 king size mattress for circa £750. It was great initially, but deteriorated fast. I found out that to get people out to decide if it's faulty or not, you need to pay £50. I've never heard of that before!
Cut my losses and will avoid Mammoth anything in future.
Mammoth Warranty? If you pass the £50 test, perhaps
We bought an expensive Mammoth mattress after liking it in the shop, and we got it home and it was great for the first 3-4 years. The idea was that if you look after it, turn it as per the instructions, and with the 10 year warranty, it'll be a decent financial investment for a decade, as we really don't like wasting money.
As said, initially it was a very good mattress, but fast forward four and a half years and it's completely knackered already (especially on one of the sides). It just feels very, very different to when it was new. So, I thought, ok, fine, thankfully there's a 10 year warranty... I'll just get in touch with them and hopefully they'll be able to replace.
However, after getting in touch with them it soon becomes clear that the warranty is a complete con. It turns out that you actually have to pay £50 out of your own pocket to get somebody out to decide if the mattress is indeed knackered, and this person has to agree that it is faulty before you get that £50 refunded, and presumably a replacement. If not, that's another £50 lost towards the next mattress with a proper warranty.
We've just decided to cut our losses and never go near a Mammoth again, which is a shame because initially it was a great mattress. I did not foresee writing a 1 star review on this mattress when we got it!
Disappointing purchase
I tried the mattress in the shop, so on that basis it was my choice. It felt comfortable in the two minutes you spend lying on it in store. So I bought it for £1,300, so not cheap, and I was hoping for a great success. I bought the Mammoth Shine Essential, Extra Firm. Once home though, whilst ok, comfort wise, it didn't feel like the one in the shop, it felt much firmer. It has given me a really bad back. I've tried sprung base and firm base. I called the store and followed the manufactures recommendation and gave it 6 mths to settle in but my back just got worse. After 6 mths I replaced it, as a trial, with a fairly budget Ikea mattress and my back gradually got better. After a month or so, I swapped back just to be sure, and the back is hurting again after one night. Seems hard to believe that a mattress marketed so heavily for back health and well being is actually damaging mine. Be double extra careful as its a lot of money and no comebacks......As far as I can tell the manufacturer will not assist.
Huge delays, constant supplier issues,
Ordered a Mammoth mattress on February 26th through a local retailer with an 8-10 week lead time, delivery at end of April. Since then we have been told that since the beginning Mammoth have had huge supplier problems with both the foam and the covers. As well as the end of April we have been given dates of 12th May, 23rd May and after having been reassured by the retailer that Mammoth had resolved their supplier issues, the 27th may. Today is the 27th May and after not having the delivery booked in the retailer chased the rep to be told there is a further issue with the covers and we are now looking at mid June. Although obviously we remain sceptical about this date. We are also concerned that since changing virtually all of their suppliers that the mattress will be unrecognisable from the one on display in the shop. In my opinion if you do not have key suppliers in place to enable you to manufacture a product, then you do not have a business and it is completely unethical to take orders.
Worst mattress ever
We bought this £1300 mattress from Barkers in Northallerton and it seemed fine in the shop. From Day 1 at home it was the worst mattress we have ever slept on. The sponge like substance has given us both bad backs and numerous aches and pains. Barkers and Mammoth have no replacement service ,so once you've paid, you are stuck with it!. We had Mammoths quality technician out ,but all he could say was ,well its in the tolerances and can you sign this disclaimer to end the complaint!!. Now my wife is left trying to live with it and I've been in the spare room since then!!. I will never set foot in Barkers again and would advise against Mammoth until they offer a trial period . Disgusting service
A second Mamouth Mattress
This is the second Mamouth Mattress we have bought, first a king, this one a super king on a brand new bed. The reason we bought Mamouth again was because our first mattress was really good, unfortunately this is not our experience with the super king. The specific problem is that although we rotate the mattress regularly, in two years it has clearly depressed at both sides where we sleep and ridged in the middle. I’m not sure why this issue is only with the super king but our experience of upgrading the size is not good one.
Purchased a mammoth mattress as it was…
Purchased a mammoth mattress as it was recommended by a dreams salesmen. It is not comfortable at all! Would not recommend as it is so expensive and not worth it. I tend to buy orthopaedic mattresses due to back pain but this mattress was the worst. It hasn’t been 6 months and unfortunately I will have to replace it! Money down the drain.
