Worst mattress I have ever owned. Causes back pain and my legs are numb when I wake up. Mattress was collapsed on one side when it was delivered. Non-existent customer service, they insisted an "expert" come out (via the shop I bought it from) and inspect the mattress, who, despite agreeing that it was bulging on one side and sagging in the middle it wasn't classed as a fault. Reported the fault almost immediately and it's taken them 6 months to respond. I'm disgusted with the way they treat customers, after spending nearly 2 grand on a super king, they couldn't care less.

Bought a Mammoth mattress couple of years ago. Supposed to be the best orthopaedic mattress. We spend most of the time trying no to fall out of it. The side walls are rubbish. This is undoubtedly the worst mattress we have ever owned. Spoke to Mammoth got nowhere. I believe the went into liquidation and were taken over I think. Sorry Mammoth but it’s a fact !

The mattress is fine but nothing special in the sense that lasts like a normal mattress.
My rating is purely for the poor costumer service.
4 years ago We spent £1500 on a mattress and lately both of us we were having pains all over the body. We then realised that there were 2 sloops just where we sleep, and on my husbands side is obviously much noticeable.
We had to pay for an assessment and we asked the gentleman if this had anything to do with the base, or any other factors, he assured us that wasn’t the case, and that in his opinion it was the mattress.
The company said the opposite! They said that from the result there was nothing wrong with the mattress and didn’t offer us any help to replace the mattress.
There are many other brands out there that they do similar products. Nothing special with Mammoth mattress.

My previous mattress was Mammoth and was great so i just got another (the shine advanced super king size) as i was pleased. I called the shop after one night on the mattress as i could feel a raised line down the middle. They said give it a couple of weeks then call Mammoth if there’s still a problem. To this day the raised ridge down the middle is still there leaving you to sleep on the edge to lay flat or with one side higher than the other nearer the middle.
I called Mammoth later who said “we have a problem with a manufacturer can you give us some time please” which i did. When i got back in touch they said if we pay £50 a specialist will come out and examine it which i very reluctantly did knowing that it would be refunded and a new mattress supplied. Expert came, laid a long wooded ruler on the bed and declared it “within tolerances”! I asked him to just feel the ridge which was very apparent but he refused, not suspicious at all! 18 months of back and forth with customer services who did nothing. I then sent a private and confidential recorded delivery letter to CEO, John Tuton, and still no response. I have all the emails saved and can document everything i have said.
Do not buy from this company as if there is a problem they will not work with you to resolve it.
My next and only other option is to refer my complaint to a professional body. All this despite an extended 5 year warranty, outrageous.

What customer service? Paid almost £1300 for a mammoth shrine advanced king size mattress which after 11 months was sagging in two places and even worsely the top cover is all puckering up and leaving ridges which are uncomfortable to lay on. Paid a further £50 for the privilege of a home serve inspection and now a further 10 months later still haven’t had the courtesy of a report from them or even a response. Don’t even try ringing customer services either( if you can find their number!) as they are always busy and the voicemail system cuts you off after 5 seconds. It’s a shame as the mattress initially was very comfortable, it’s a king size too so very heavy to rotate. Worst experience we’ve ever had with a mattress

I’ve had the mattress around 6 years now but about 18 months ago we noticed a ridge in the middle and it’s continued to deteriorate since then with saggy and little support for both of.

We are both lighter individuals. We’ve rostered once a month but looking to replace now due to back ache.

It cost £1200 roughly from memory, would not look to purchase again as I think that’s expensive to deteriorate after 4-5 years 😔

We bought our Mammoth Performance SuperSoft 270 Mattress in 2018 at a cost of £1500.
From memory it was described as being endorsed by athletes and the medical profession.
For the first two years it was super comfortable, but showed signs of depressions to the sleeping areas, and a hump in the middle.
As recommended we regularly rotated the mattress which did little to help.
It is now nearly 5 years old and in our view completely shot. The depressed areas are obvious, and give little to no support as they have softened so much.
In fairness, as previously stated, the mattress was great for a couple of years, but for the price paid, in our opinion, is not durable and of poor value.
We note that Mammoth no longer post replies or comment on reviews posted by its customers, which is as disappointing as the longevity of its products.

My bed purchase was the best decision. I have difficulty getting up in the morning! Great quality, comfort, durability. Since having this bed, my husband has multiple health issues including slipped discs, this bed has been supporting. Highly recommended. Money well spent.

Updated review! Originally I had put this as 5*'s as I received my new mattress in Jan this year, updated Dec 23- originally we loved it. Cost just over £2500!!!

We are now less than a year into having this mattress and it is terrible. The mattress has gone soft on both sides, with one side in particular sagging to a 3cm dip. We have had this inspected and acknowledged however neither Mammoth or the furniture store that I brought it from are willing to do anything about as as apparently is is not a manufacturing issue.

This mattress was sold to us as 'medical grade', with 10 years warranty. The warranty means absolutely nothing. Do not buy!!!

We have had a Mammoth mattress before and particularly wanted another one. We contacted Mammoth who advised us the best specification for us and found a stockist who offered a very fair price. Despite a wait for availability we were regularly updated and took delivery before promised.

We bought a Shine pure 24 mattress earlier this year, from an independent retailer. We had several visits to the store, trying mattresses from different manufacturers, before finally deciding upon the Mammoth. My husband suffers from back problems.
I was initially concerned that the mattress would be too firm for me, but in fact, it is extremely comfortable, and we both sleep well on it, and wake refreshed.
My only minor criticism is that it is slightly heavy when rotating it end to end. Otherwise it is superb.

I bought a mammoth hybrid excel 800 to replace an old tempur cloud mattress based on a trial in the shop and help and advice from the sales assistant. I wish I hadn’t ! Following advice from mammoth to give up to 3 months to get used to the mattress and for it to soften I am still struggling; waking with sore hips, shoulders and legs. The mattress is just too hard and not softening off at all. I really wish I had stuck with tempur. I am left with an expensive mattress that is causing problems for me.

Amazing mattress! Usually you need months to get used to it but this was instantly so comfortable. Absolutely recommend

We bought the Mammoth Pure king size mattress in July, and it was delivered 6 weeks later, 2 weeks earlier than offered when we ordered, so for us a good level of service. We bought from an independent retailer who had many brands of mattress for us to consider. We chose Mammoth with no prior knowledge of the brand but with positive advice from the store and the concept of it being an orthopedic mattress which we both felt was needed. We chose the 'firm' mattress and after the first night have found it to be very comfortable, firm but at the same time giving sufficiently to feel we are not sleeping on a board. 3 months on we are still very pleased with it, the edges are also supportive, so there is no feeling of 'slipping off' the edge. The mattress currently returns to its flat state in the mornings, no bumps or dips appearing so far, but I would have been concerned if that had already happened, it was not a cheap option to buy.
Another reason we bought this mattress was its weight. We tried numerous ones which we would have struggled to lift and turn, but this one, whilst weighty, is manageable. It amazes me how many mattresses do not have handles on the ends and yet the expectation is that we turn them every 3 months, maybe Mammoth can take this on board. Overall pleased with the purchase and level of comfort.

I am happy with my new mattress and pillows. I am following the advice to turn the mattress weekly and i am getting a good night's sleep.
I hope that the warranty will be honoured if I should have a problem, but only had for 6 weeks thus far

I am a professional bodybuilder and my rest and recovery is vital. I'd been looking at a Mammoth mattress for some time and I'm not disappointed! I get good solid sleep every single night now and it's definitely helped my progress in my sport.

We went to all the usual big bed stores then visited our local independent store (Cookes in Christchurch). We were shown the Mammoth mattress and it felt right from the start. I have been poorly and left with back damage. This mattress provides just the right amount of support along with comfort. Very happy with it.

I have struggled to find the perfect mattress but this has come extremely close to it. Expensive but if it stays as it is then I will be happy. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I think most mattresses feel good initially but wear extremely quickly despite the claims of lasting years. Will wait and see if it meets my expectations long term. Many thanks to Barkers Northallerton for spending time to help me chose the best mattress for me, without pressurising.

We both have skeletal problems and were having trouble getting a good night's sleep, so we decided to buy new beds. We tried quite a few mattresses and decided on Mammoth. These were delivered a few weeks ago and they have made such a difference. They are so comfortable that we don't want to get out of bed in the morning. We are so glad we chose them.

Bought my Mammouth mattress earlier this year. It is just so comfortable and supportive. Very pleased with my purchase and now getting some really good sleeps.
