Ordered a brush bar for my Dyson DC 04…

Ordered a brush bar for my Dyson DC 04 clutched version. The web site showed 2 different end. My machine has the ends with a large square and tuft of brush on the square. They supplied the brush bar with ends having tiny protrusion only. I phoned the shop.They did not accept they had sent the wrong ends and asked for pictures . I sent the picture from Manchester vac web site and also the roller roughly fitted in my vac to show the large square opening . They insisted I had fitted it incorrectly. This is customer service at its worst. I don,t recommend.

We have been selling Dyson spares for decades, and some people simply won't be told. The chap buys a brushroll. The same brushroll fits DC04, DC07, DC14 and DC33.

Only one factory makes them now. On DC04s, they have ends that have little tufts on as the chap said, and they are supplied with a set of ends for that. However, they serve no purpose and they don't fit properly, and because they don't fit properly we don't send the extra ends. Accordingly, we supply them with just the later tuft-free ends on - that fit fine too.

As long as they are fitted with the ends facing the right way, they are perfectly fine. This is what everyone has been doing for decades. DECADES. If for some reason you are unhappy with that, you can simply reuse the ends from your old one. Then you have the two 4mm wide tufts that do absolutely nothing at all. This is what this bloke eventually chose to do. He was unable to fit the supplied ends, fitting them the wrong way around, and that is indeed fitter incompetence. But of course, when you tell someone that, it dents their pride and instead of listening to the largest supplier of Dyson spares in the North, he chooses instead to plaster one-star reviews online.

One bloke with a 30-year-old vacuum cleaner who won't fit a part as he has been told, or a place that has staff with a combined 100+ years of Dyson workshop and spare parts experience?

My SEBO lives again thanks to ManchesterVacs

Excellent helpful website to help repair my SEBO X1.1.My 20 year old SEBO was very poorly,but with the helpful website and phone advice I ordered a new motor with a belt kit and filters.This arrived quickly but I soon discovered that previous owner had changed belt,but for wrong one ,so one of my new ordered belts was incorrect.This was swiftly sorted by correct belt being sent out.SEBO is now up and running hopefully for another 20 years.Incredible customer service ,highly recommended.

Dyson DC 25 brush bar motor

My Dyson DC 25’s brush bar motor was not working. I found Manchester Vacs on the web and used their site to diagnose the fault, supply a new Yoke wiring loom and instruct me how to replace the loom and thus repair the machine.

The loom was very reasonably priced, £7.98 including delivery, and arrived promptly. I then used the links on the Manchester Vacs website to watch the youtube videos on how to replace the loom. After many, many views of the video, lots of swearing and a few hours frustration I managed to replace the loom and my Dyson now works again. Manchester Vacs has saved me £200 on a new vacuum cleaner, I can’t not praise them enough, fantastic service!

Dyson V11 Animal Repair by Manchester Vacs

After searching around for a dyson repair specialist. I came across Manchester Vacs which I found on Google. I took my Dyson V11 Animal in to be repaired as it had stopped working altogether. After taking it in on a Wednesday they did some diagnostic
checks and I needed a main motor body and cyclone assembly and a new filter. They managed to get it back to me by the Saturday which I was pleased about as I was visiting family and was travelling back home the day after. Claire on the front desk was very helpful and went through everything when I collected my Dyson. I even got a free pen as a reminder, of my visit. I would definitely recommend and use Manchester Vacs again.

So far I’m totally impressed with my experience to buy a genuine Dyson battery for my V6 Fluffy -£49 vs around £70 from anybody else (and Dyson themselves are OOS), and not tempted by the numerous cheap offerings from suppliers selling “genuine replacement batteries (!?).
I just love MV’s responses to people who can’t/won’t take responsibility for their bad/erroneous choices and/or raging incompetence…! 😜

Manchester Vacs recommend Sebo

I purchased a Sebo Felix Vacuum cleaner in March 23 from Manchester Vacs. The staff were very helpful and informative and I was able to test the vac. The price was very competative and I highly recommend the company. I had been disappointed with my previous Dyson vacs that has ended up easily cracking and breaking. I have waited to post a review until I had used the vac and sure it met my expectations. I just love everything about it, in particular ease of use and sturdiness. So the recommendations given by the staff have been wholly fulfilled.

Ordered a replacement Brushbar motor…

Ordered a replacement Brushbar motor for our Dyson DC25 after watching (and reading) their incredibly useful youtube and website step by step instructions on how to check and replace said motor. Arrived quickly, replaced the original in under 30 minutes and everything worked well again.

Dodgy Dyson battery as no serial number

Just had my Dyson battery delivered. Noticed that the serial number sticker for the battery had been removed. Spoke to a lady at the company and she assured me it was genuine but without serial number how can you tell? Said I could return it but it would be at my own cost as it wasn’t faulty. Poor customer service in my view and actually I bought a Dyson battery which included a serial number so it is faulty as doesn’t include a serial number. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is utter folderol. A paper sticker with a serial number is irrelevant to the product and not fitted depending on the source. You bought a genuine new Dyson battery, you received a genuine new Dyson battery. You can tell it's genuine by the huge silver Dyson label on the underside and the Dyson box it came in. Paper stickers are irrelevant to the product. You are welcome to pay twice the price from Dyson, and they will give you a meaningless paper sticker. Batteries are generally non-returnable, however, we offered you a return as a goodwill gesture. But of course, it will be at your own expense, because it would be a change of mind return. The product is faultless. Which is more than can be said for your logic.

Straightforward Purchase

Have just purchased a Sebo X7 Automatic Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner. Machine is a revelation - it lifts the pile like nothing we have used before! Store owner was knowledgeable (check out his website blog), helpful and purchase was straightforward - set of 8 bags thrown in for free. Would definitely recommend

Great service and informative website

Excellent service and informative website - no BS - quick helpful response to a bag full light problem on a Sebo X4 requiring workshop reset of the circuit board. All completed by return post at half the cost of a new board. Will definitely use Manchester Vacs again!

Excellent for Vacuums

Excellent, friendly, helpful company with great service and quality as well as great pricing. You can test any of the vacuum models and the lady there, Claire provides helpful information and advice. Fantastic company. This is my third Sebo purchase and I will go back to this company over anywhere else. Thank you.

Service and Repair to Sebo X4 upright Vacuum

We decided our 15 year old upright Sebo needed replacing and were quite happy to do so, when we spoke to Manchester Vacs they said bring your machine in when you come to look at the new ones and lets have a look at it before you spend on the new model, we were surprised that they could replace a few parts, fully service it and restore it to its original good working condition, we left the Vac with them and after 72hours, were informed the machine was ready for collection and the work completed for a fraction of the price of a new one, the service we received was first class, friendly and professional which is hard to find from companies these days, i would highly recommend this company and will be using them again in the future if we need to.

Not as promised

So far it's a very moderate review from me, I ordered a sebo motor on Wednesday and paid for 1-2 day delivery. Its now Saturday and I've just received a message from Royal Mail to say they have received my order but delivery may be delayed. Delivery therefore not as promised.

The gentleman seems to have overlooked the fact that there are backlogs at Royal Mail due to frequent strikes. The delivery is described as *typically* 1-2 working days. It is not a guaranteed service and delays due to industrial action are beyond our control.

AMAZING! my sebo will now last another 15 years

Just WOW!!

after owning a sebo x4pet trouble free for 15 years it was starting to no longer perform as outstandingly as it always has, and i had a few lights come on here and there. After a quick google I stumbled upon manchester vacs.

when I dropped it off they were sooooo friendly and even let me try a different kind of machine they had on display. Just by talking to the lady at the front desk I knew my beloved Sebo was in safe hands. they were not just professional and friendly, but clearly very enthusiastic about what they do which I for one think is a joy to see!

I’ve just got home and tested it, and my word what a difference they have made! its like a new vacuum all over again! and even better it sparkles like new again too!

Manchester Vacs

Hi, I ordered a Sebo vacuum (pet version £383.00) from this company, over the weekend and received delivery confirmation for Today 6.9.22, after waiting till 2pm on DPD site I find out it won't be delivered till the next day, so time to wait in for the vacuum completely wasted.
Called Manchester Vacs and was told DPD did not collect yesterday, I asked why nobody sent a mail to let me know so I could rearrange my day and all I got was an apology, now I have to sort out something for tomm.
My first experience with the company and probably the last, maybe I should have just used Amazon, hopefully nothing goes wrong with the vacuum. You would think a vacuum costing this much would have better customer service.

We`ll deliver your Manchester Vacs parcel on Tuesday 6th September 2022, but the point is you knew the collection had not taken place and did not keep me informed, I had to check with DPD to find out at 2pm, so I wasted most of a day waiting.

You notice the bit about informing the customer for any reason, so again you knew it would not be there on the 6th.
UK delivery times: All orders are sent as soon as possible; usually the same or next working day. If there is a delay with your order for any reason, we will contact you. DPD/RM/DHL deliveries are typically a day or two after order dispatch, economy is up to 7 working days. Check your emails (including the spam folder) and phone for tracking alerts.

DPD isnt a guaranteed next day service. As it happens, on this occasion, DPD didn't collect from us on the Monday as the driver was stuck in traffic until after we had closed. DPD are extremely busy at the moment against a backdrop of frequent Royal Mail strikes.

In such a situation, we wouldn't know our collection wasn't happening until close of business. It wouldn't be feasible to pay people to work late to email dozens of people when they can simply go online the next day and see the tracking status for themselves. This chap chose not to do that.

In this instance, the gentleman is confusing automated emails from DPD with emails from us. With DPD, there is no need to 'wait around' as you can go on the site, input the tracking number and get a 15 minute delivery window. Had he have done so, he'd know it wasn't arriving on Tuesday.

We state on our tracking 1-2 business days as being typical. That's typical and not guaranteed. As it was packed on Monday, went out on Tuesday and he will likely receive it on Wednesday, the delivery will still be in a timely manner and exactly as advertised.

All we have here is unnecessary angst about a delivery being a day later than expected. It may well have been a tad inconvenient, it was for us too. But it happens. We all know even the best couriers - as DPD are - are not perfect.
