Now is the second car I've brought from…

Now is the second car I've brought from them and only lies. The car I bought now wasn’t saying anything about water damage and when I got the car on the windshield it was written water damage. What a bunch of liars. And I’ve spoke with few friends of mine and they said to run away from them they are bunch of thieves.

Very little integrity, dodgy!

Salvage car was listed as low impact to rear. When I receive the car the chassis was bent which indicates high impact. When I rang them to complain they said the report shows high impact chassis damage to rear. I sent them an image of the report I read at time of purchase stating low impact damage to the rear. The resolution team said there was no claim to be made and sent through a bunch of terms and conditions.

Very poor customer service

Worst Car Auction for customer service. Purchased a car online which they stated having 2 owners and a V5 which was incorrect. No v5 and 4 owners. They refused to help because I collected a car a day after their 3 day ruling. I complained based on the fact I purchased based on what you are advertised but still they didnt care and very unhelpful.

Very untrustworthy selling practises

Very untrustworthy selling practises, bidded online for a ride on mower that was described as starts, drives (missing belts) … went there to pick it up & lucky I checked it first, item was hidden in a dark dingy corner barricaded by pallets of junk in the attempt to make it difficult to test drive the unit, staff are arrogant & rude & trained to make you feel obliged to just pay the money and buy the dodgy asset that they are trying to offload in the hope that the buyer doesn’t pick up on undisclosed faults, this particular mower was badly rusted & had physical holes straight through the deck & broken bearings and removed spindle assembly just thrown on top of the deck, black hydraulic oil with oil leaks indicating poor servicing & cooked hydraulics, clocked back/tampered hour meter showing 199 hours when it would have had to have at least 1000 hours removed off it’s hour meter according to the condition of the unit… the manager of Mannheim’s that sell those rubbish mowers apparently has a lot of experience in what he does yet claims they are not mechanics when it comes to a simple description.

From what I have observed, this morebank faculty is full of arrogant incompetent staff that knowingly try to deceive people & waste their time, I drove 340 km round trip & didn’t end up purchasing the mower yet the manager tried to make me feel like I was the one in the wrong & it was so hard for them to send me the email invoice… anyway long story short… I’ve learnt not to even attempt to bid on junk that has been dumped at these types of auction places that also start the bid prices high in the hope of deceiving potential bidders into thinking that they are getting a good deal when they are getting complete rubbish and being conned by professional & corrupt auctions like Mannheim’s.

Moral of the story, never bid on an item site unseen… you cannot trust anyone these days… lesson learnt

Manheim is a great Service Auction Company

Manheim is a great auction company with excellent service on every occasion i have had to deal with them. They are understanding and patient and always willing to help. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. I have purchased through them probably 10 times and it doesn't matter which person you deal with; they have all been excellent. I have been dealing with Kylie Fraser this week and she has been amazing.

These guys are crooks!!!

These guys are crooks! Do not trust them.
The photos taken of the bike I bought did not show the giant hole in the crankcase where the bike had self detonated. Would not refund the money, they just told me the disclamer! Now left with a worthless bike!

Easy and smooth process

Bought a salvage vehicle online. Loved the whole process from signing up to bidding. The only thing that was a disappointment was that the car didn’t have mats as indicated on the photos.

Check title status

Very nice vehicle; I can't get a tag. The car was reported stolen in March 2023. It was repossessed but no one thought it was important to take the "stolen" flag off.i have had the car over a month and keep getting bounced and put on hold with no good outcome. Had to postpone vacation (no tag). Still on Allen list. Got called and told I can get a tag now. Well end of June and I still can't get a tag. Ppl at Manheim playing me as I'm dumb. Leaning me on hold till phone hangs up. Directing me to ppl that can't help. Come on. What point do I stop

Maria Askaey, Manheim

Maria Askaey.

Very lovely and kind woman who made the experience comfortable. She talked us through the process and made everything very easier. Even though the appointment was early in the morning, she showed up with a smile and enthusiastic attitude.
Will definitely use Manheim again because of Maria Askaey.

Cheated out if buying a car

Manheim Altona north 12.4.23
For all bids the auctioneer would say
‘Going Once Going Twice Going Third time’ - before each sale closed.
I bid on a car with one other person. It went up in increments of 100 from my opening bid of 17,000. When it got to 17,900 it slowed down & the auctioneer said ‘Going Once Going Twice Going Third time’ - and I bid 18,000. Then again ‘Going Once Going Twice Going Third time’ - and the other bidder bid 18,100. Then I went to bid 18,200 straight away and THERE WAS NO ‘Going Once Going Twice Going Third time’. My bid of 18,200 was blocked out and it sold for 18,100. i was badly cheated. My bid was cut off although I pressed straight away WITHOUT the ‘Going Once Going Twice Going Third time’ even coming up. I was going to bid all the way as I had inspected this car in person and it was the only one I was interested in. I rang Manheim straight away and said there was a mistake made. The lady said she would check with the auctioneer after he’d finished the auctions. When she rang back she said she checked the recording of the bidding and the auctioneer had said going third time and waited a couple of seconds and it was sold. I said he didn’t say once twice or third time as it didn’t record on my screen like all the times before on that day for every car except this one. She said there was nothing wrong with the bidding and the car is sold. I said it needs to be done again & can I know who bought it. No they don’t know and they can’t give out those details. I said what if they can’t pay. Then she said ‘Oh he can pay he’s a REGULAR CUSTOMER!!!!’ To me that’s means the auctioneer hurried the bid along as it was getting too high for the REGULAR CUSTOMER and my bid was cut off. As he’s a REGULAR CUSTOMER we assume he’s a car dealer and he will probably sell the car for 1000s more and maybe someone will get a kickback out if it. I am so totally disgusted with this action and can absolutely verify these details. I have a screenshot of the bidding and the phone call from the lady was hopefully recorded. I have the phone number and the time of the call. It’s so unfair to honest people who just want to buy a car. I’ve waited a long time for this car to be available at auction … now I don't trust them anymore. Don’t waste your time …they will only sell to dealers. Buy from a reputable auction house, not one that has so many negative comments online. The staff were also rude and unfair as they had no intention of considering the facts.

Reliable seller

Reliable seller. Highly recommended. Good price and high value car, very friendly to buyers who are not good at negotiate price.

Just be careful

Of course the car wasn't in the same condition as in the pictures. So be careful before buying one. Go see your car before giving a bid, don't buy blind.

Even though the crew was nice since the beginning and the car was running as announced; but it was stopped (parked) for over a year, what deteriorated its state (some of the things you can't know by pictures).
