My elderly parents, who grew up in the eastend but no longer live there,always say how much they miss the traditional pie,mash,liquor and eels. Knowing Manzes as being traditionally one of the best,and seeing they now do online orders seemed perfect. I ordered quite a substantial box full of pies,liquor, mash and stewed eels. Packaging was great,all fully chilled and packed well. Sadly the food was not up to standard though,the pie crusts were tuff,mash was dry and lumpy and the liquor was tasteless. After spending £60,I honestly expected much better and so did my parents. I hate leaving bad reviews, but sadly on this occasion I feel it is justified. I think you could do so much better Manzes.

I ordered double double for delivery and a carton of Jellied eels.
I can’t believe how much they have gone downhill. They have made the pies smaller with less filling and I paid £8.60 for 5 small pieces of eel. It seems that Manze have lost their integrity, sold out and now seem to be catering to the new money on the manor that consider going to a P&M shop “edgy”.
The mash and liquor was the only decent thing they served up.

Very Disappointed with Food.
Ordering very easy website. Arrived on day as stated. Packaged well.
Now the Downside: We followed the heating instructions that came with the food. But the pies were dried out mince, the potato was dry and lumpy and the green liquor was lumpy with no taste.
Total cost was £40 for 4 pies, 2 mash and 2 liquor. Far too expensive for what we received.
Could had Supermarket pie & mash cheaper and tastier.
Nothing like the good old days when Chapel Street Market was open up the Islington back in the 60’s. Will not be re-ordering.
Walton On The Naze is far superior

Maze have restored my faith in my missed feelings my delivery was perfect the food was great I will order again and recommend the service to friends and family.

The pies were lovely and mash good but the licker wanot eatable it had a bitter rancid taste to it had to through it all away. I was went a text saying I would receive it Wednesday it did not turn up Thursday I got up to find it on my doorstep.

Extremely easy ordering process, delivered with no hassle on requested day, we ordered 30 pie, mash and liquor for a party (our 3rd year of doing it but first time with Manze), everyone really enjoyed the meal with lots of compliments on the quality of the pies and tastiness of the liquor, personally best liquor I have ever had. Will definitely be using again. Thank you

Visited the shop on London Bridge Rd when visiting London arriving back home over 200miles aways order a chilled delivery same night was not disappointed still soooooooooo good...

I asked for it to arrive on a specific day, and it duly did just before lunchtime. The packaging was fantastic, with so much care and attention to detail.
I was absolutely convinced, coming from Manze, the the pies and liquor would be perfect, and of course they were. My one concern was that the mash would be too smooth and 'sanitised'. I needn't have worried. The consistency was lovely and coarse, as proper mash should always be. One added bonus, as I had ordered two meals and live alone, I was expecting to eat it two days running, but the best before dates have allowed me to have it on the Wednesday when it was delivered, and I'll have the second one on Saturday. Finally, the instructions for reheating are bright, clear and easy. Even a culinary idiot like me managed to have a perfect meal.

Got for my father in law as a little pick me up as has been a bit down lately safe to say it put a big smile on his face

I was born in fulham, now live in West Sussex. Recently got my order from Manze the packaging was outstanding every part of my order was individually wrapped with chilled packaging. Absolutely brilliant will be ordering again. Thanks very much. Tom weston.
