Update. The site (Maria-Spencer) is no longer active! They've changed their name to Jack & Jane. An ad popped up in my Instagram feed. Same clothes as Maria-Spencer.

SCAM of a company.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Like the other buyers, I ordered a pair of denim jeans based on the pictures from their website, Maria-Spencer.com. I was sent a pair of polyester see through pants that resembled nothing like what I purchased. I tried to get them to pay for returning the crap back to them but they would not budge and the $10-$15 refund (after I pay shipping to China) is not worth it. They will probably just turn around and send them to another unsuspecting victim, making more money off the pants I returned. I thought it was ok to purchase from them because I thought they were out of California but they are our CHIna. Everything about this company is fake even the reviews listed on their website. Please note, if you click on the reviews, it won't open for you to read them. Why because they are ALL FAKE! All the reviews have the same amount of stars and won't allow you to read them.

Shameless scam artists w/MULTIPLE scam…

Shameless scam artists w/MULTIPLE scam sites. They don't even try to hide it! I mean the clothes don't even have tags on them from their fake company, they're just random cuts of cheap material thrown in a bag. I'm just getting a chargeback with my bank and reporting them because they keep insisting on returning to their warehouse in China at my own cost. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, OR FROM ANY OF THEIR FAKE COMPANIES: Maria Spencer, Jordan Toronto, Dwanah, Azzurrah, Riley-London, Chaleur London. ALL FAKE.

Very cheap material

Very cheap material, not jeans as the photos suggest. These pants might be worth $5.00 not $50.00. This company is a total scam. Never purchase from them. Their website said the pants were marked down from around $100.00 giving the impression that they are quality. This company even tried to get me to make a purchase with a 10% off coupon for late shipment which wasnt true. Thankfully I did not spend any more money on this scam. This company is not based out of California but China. There are typos and misspells on their website. Don’t be fooled. Purchase nothing from Maria and Spencer

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. The clothes are pure garbage, not at all like pictured. They represent themselves to be a California based company but they make you return the items to China at your own expense. Buyer beware!

Do not buy anything from this brand. SCAM

Let's please be aware of social media's garbage suggestions... They make it seem like they are the best of the best and in the end, are just a SCAM and want to take your money. It took almost 2 months to arrive and I should've taken action earlier when I saw that tracking system and when I saw China on the shipping status. These are not jeans at all and they feel and look cheap AF! Please do not buy and let's normalize looking for reviews before making a purchase. Also, I think by looking at the shipping options you can also "measure" from where the items are coming.

BAD QUALITY FROM CHINA

Fooled from an Instagram ad. Looks like a California company with cute stuff but took forever to ship and then I realized it was coming from China. The clothes are terrible quality, I mean, really really bad. Thin cheap material, no tags, bad stitching, bad fit. When I initiated the return they kept offering to let me keep the clothes and get 20% then 30% back. Um, hell no. I had to pay return shipping which was $85 but I refused to keep anything from them. I hope I actually get my money back. I never write reviews but people need to know about this company which may be called Jordan Toronto (after you purchase that’s where all the emails come from).

I agree with all the other purchasers…

I agree with all the other purchasers from this site. Maria & Spencer present a California based company but in reality it is a Chinese company. The jeans I ordered were not jeans at all and to return the item they ask that you ship to China which is cost prohibitive. Please do not order from this company. They will also try for you not to send the items back. I have been requesting for 6 days not to try to do a return and I have received the runaround. I finally put a protest on my credit card since they are not honoring their website agreement. Buyer beware!

Total Scam

Total Scam. Crappy quality from China. The company is really some Chinese operation that makes these clothes for pennies on the dollar. When you realize that it is a scam and want to make a return, you will get a complete unprofessional run around. They will tell you that the return needs to be made to their partner in China and that you need to pay and pay to track the return. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP FROM THIS CRAPPY FLY BY NIGHT COMPANY

Maria & Spencer SCAM ALERT - FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

I should’ve learned my lesson by now from trusting any links off of Facebook. I thought I could trust this one though since they claimed to be a U.S. company, but NO! I ordered what I believed & what was advertised on their website as denim jeans with unique print designs & specific pleat detail along the sides as well as back pockets like most jeans have. What I received were some very cheaply & poorly made polyester printed pants that looked absolutely NOTHING like what was advertised on the website. They weren’t cut correctly & didn’t even have the back pockets! Don’t waste your money or your time. They apparently have a store front in California located at 6801 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles 90028 which is probably fake too, & the phone number listed on their website is missing a digit. Coincidence? I think not!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!

SCAM!! Not jeans, very cheap

Not denim, too big, cheap fabric, looks nothing like the pictures, & took forever to arrive. Wish I would have read some reviews before purchasing bc this was such a waste of almost $50. Save yourself time & money & look somewhere else.

SCAM ALERT! Maria & Spencer

Made to look like coming from store in CA. Didn't know until after received shipping that it was coming from China. Not as advertised. Fabric is not denim as it appears but really cheap polyester or rayon. Made really badly. Sewing is middle school home-ec class.
>>>> Apparently they keep changing their name, also known as Jordan Toronto.

It’s a scam

It’s a scam. Do not buy. The clothing is cheap, see thru polyester - absolute awful quality. One of my pants had a bunch of loose strings everywhere . The other one has a fabric misprint . I asked them for a full refund and a request to waive the return shipping fee becasue of the defective items. They offered me 30% refund instead . They want me to keep pants that are defective and won’t use and only compensate me with 30 dollars.

Update - I submitted a dispute with my CC and won. Then their “legel” team emails me to cancel the chargeback and pay them the amount that was disputed otherwise they will take legal action. They been harassing me since Feb 11. I filed a claim with the FTC.
