DO NOT BUY online from this company

DO NOT BUY online from this company. I ordered a shed which had a faulty floor. Took 4 weeks via emails to get it collected and still awaiting refund. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER. Main company is CDS Superstores and include Willko and The Range.

Never again

Went in store to buy a BBQ, was told will be delivered in 3-5 working days. Wanted it for the bank holiday so be here in time, NOPE! No contact number, customer live chat etc non existant just automated responses via email. Got an email 3 days ago from the range stating item has been dispatched but day after I get one from the courier company saying that isn't the case, they don't have the item! One big joke! Going for a refund and will buy from elsewhere. NEVER ORDERING AGAIN FROM THEM! Quick enough to take my money but not to give me what I have paid for

I ordered patio furniture for next day delivery and they charged me £42 instead of £12.99. My fault I didn’t notice the extra. But I have still not received my order despite several emails and the useless BOT. Non-existent contact with this company. They are disgraceful and scammers. Avoid them !!!

Do not buy from this firm

Do not buy from this firm, Bought a lawnmower through the online store Wilko, as I said DO NOT BUY from this company. Lack of customer services, you can only email and consistently have to allow at least 48 hours sometime more before a response is made.
Clearly do not understand UK law and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Order short and not fit for purpose.…

Ordered 8 hanging baskets from homebase online part of the group.Only 6 arrived and 3 had rusty chains. No response to online chat or telephone. Got in vehicle and drove to York branch of The Range. Took 5 new ones off shelf returned the 3 rusty ones and told them 2 not arrived. Spent ages explaining to various members of staff and eventually just waliked out with the 5 baskets. Terrible customer service.

Absolute disgrace of a company

Absolute disgrace of a company - do not deal with them online
I ordered from The Range and paid for a next day delivery - 6 days later ...no item. Customer service is a shambles takes a full 24hrs for a response and then its a rude and unhelpful reply. By a bizarre twist of fate I am also waiting for an order from Homebase who are also a part of CDS group ive discovered.. using the same awful group of people they shamefully claim to be "Customer services " I waited on the inky chat for 40 minutes today with a query only for them to simply close the chat as they were "Too busy" and a BOT messaged to say they would be in touch via email.... 6 hours later and no contact.
I would suggest not ordering from Homebase, The Range or Wilko as they are all part of CDS who clearly are happy to take your money but have no interest in helping you if there is a problem. I also tried to call the head office... they don't speak with customers in person ...Only online.
Good luck with this lot ! I will be avoiding this chain of company's from now on.

Terrible took day off work for delivery…

Terrible took day off work for delivery didnt arrive.(as was told 8 am to 6pm)
Was an easter treat for the children so really dissapointed
No customer services at all to speak to. Tried to pm on facebook but still no one to spk to
Now trying to get money back from paypal.
Never order from here again due to lack of customer service.
Avoid.. terrible service

Still holding Paypal funds (twice) for a failed order
I tried to order an item on their website which said it was in stock at The Range store. They were not, so I wasted a 12-mile journey. In fact, they probably never existed! There was never any order acknowledgment or other communication. after chasing they say the order 'failed' but can't say why. Sometimes they blame the mysterious 'Marketplace' which is a black hole for information. Ten days later, still waiting for them to formally cancel the order and release the Paypal funds, which they reserved a second time. Their responses seem to be written by robots and do not address my requests. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Took my money for non existent goods

Took my money for items which said they were in stock at store. They were not. In fact, they probably never existed! Were unhelpful and robotic response to my complaints. Ten days later, still waiting for them to refund. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Appalling returns policy

I have followed instructions on how to return an item purchased online from the Range Marketplace. From the first email I sent to notify them I wished to make a return as requested, they then send me a response asking another question. I think I’m now on reply number four and am still no nearer to returning the item since they keep the address secret!!!!!
Seems like one big con that you would probably expect from some small companies but certainly not a company the size of the Range

Don't be fooled into thinking that buying through the local store will give you any better customer service. It wont!

Looking at some of the reviews below by disappointed customers, I can only agree with the extremely poor and frustrating experience that people have when dealing with the so called Customer Care Team that are the point of contact for The RANGE. Don't be fooled into thinking that if you buy directly through your local RANGE store (as I did) that you will get any better service or help from the Local Store, as they will simply say that they are unable to help and ask that you contact the Head Office Customer Care team for further advice on any issue.

I have been trying to return an item…

I have been trying to return an item from wilko and basically getting ignored or fobbed off. I started return on day I received order as unsuitable told id hear of collection date and time within 48 hours. Week later nothing and only have 14 day window to return. Disgraceful customer service and now risk being out of pocket with a useless item that is no good.

Terrible company

Paid for goods, supplied incorrect item.
Was told refund 5-7 days after collection.
Now chasing refund that has only been allegedly processed after the 7 days on their terms.
Avoid at all costs, terrible company.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is a scam. They take your money, deliver nothing, keep you in pointless email correspondence for weeks on end. I have had no goods and they will not process my refund, dealing with them is like a full time job. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Ordered sideboard cupboard from Wilko…

Ordered sideboard cupboard from Wilko (which CDS own) which was not high gloss as per picture and also slightly damaged. Tried getting in touch, but keep getting told to wait another 48 hrs, but currently been waiting 11 days for them to confirm a refund.

Normally had no problem with with…

Normally had no problem with with homebase deliverys and online orders this is the first time and have found out CDS now own Homebase, trying to make contact impossible and when you do it is a generic message been waiting 45 minute again on live chat getting nowhere,I would like to cancel part of order, its paint and I needed it last week I was told when purchased would be here by 4th then contacted you told 11th now its 15th its paint and I needed it last week but was told it would now be 11th then yesterday told 15th. Trying to make contct with you but impossible, I have been a loyal customer with Homebase but if this is the way you operate wont be using you again people in this situation should be able to make contact by phone not chat bods and generic emails to cancel order as your unable to deliver on time who waits three week for a tin of paint, I would go to a shop but live 23 miles away from nearest one which I have expressed in chat and decorator managed to fit me in for 11th but cant do after as on holiday and my kitchen is half done as have no paint please check people if like me ordering something you need
