This is the response received from this scammers ( the HMRC has sent out the cheque a long time ago)
We can confirm that we have received the settlement award from HMRC. We are currently in the process of carrying out our compulsory identity checks before payment can be released.
Once we have finalised these checks, we will issued a cheque for the remaining monies minus our professional fees to your home address.

SCAMMERS - do not use them!!!!
The worst company I have ever dealt with. These people are scammers! No where on the advert did it state that they would be taking such a huge fee. In fact they said that my payment refund wouldn’t cover their fee and if they receive more money on my behalf they will use this but that I won’t be receiving any money for my refund. DO NOT USE THEM! If you need a tax return do it yourself. They have also disconnected their phones so it’s easier to ignore people. Stay away at all costs.

Went through totaltaxrefund.co.uk
They have used a work from home signature and applied it to the authorisation agent letter 64-8 to deal with my tax affairs.
I have contacted HMRC and they can't do anything. Of course they don't take calls, I let email haven't received a reply.
I will be contacting the police and action fraud.
Edit: Got the usual response from the company, provided them with a number and no call. Currently contacting action Fraud. Everyone else should do the same.

Disappointed is an understatement - feel let down
Hindsight is a wonderful thing I would encourage everyone to go directly to HMRC.
To take 42% in admin fees is daylight robbery. People are claiming back the money because they need it. To take such a huge cut is unethical.
To have these adverts in facebook should be more closely monitored. I am aware of this but fell for it. A hard lesson to learn

This is my second post to your reply. Again I state my telephone number is 07872900874 so again I give you the opportunity to wring me an sort this out. First I was told the cheque was issued 3 weeks ago then last Tuesday I was told I would have it in 3 days.
So apart from taking your fee you appear to have held the cheque as I still don’t have it.

It was an easy process to follow
It was an easy process to follow, my claim was processed as it was explained to me. Without any hassle. The communication received from the team was friendly, professional but most of all the team kept their word. Although the commission they take is steep, but they organise everything from start to finish. Once the check arrived it made me smile, it was not as much as I had hoped for, but in these days every little helps. Thanks to the team for your honesty and swift process of the claims.
