If i could give these unprofessional

If i could give these unprofessional, power hungry, bullies a zero would pay for it. 1st they have clamped my car on a private property thats not even my address, hp car for a ticket i haven't received. I called the enforcement officer to talk about payment options didn’t want to negotiate, was rude and threatened to tow car which they didn't as car is hp and on private land. This is just beginning, paid fine £625 for a fine which i believe was less, to be told that clamp was tampered with saying it was me that did it, another bully tactic, couldn't be removed. Ive contacted lawyers, police, finance company, watch dog, mechanics just to get situation resolved. Contacted company but no one knows what to do. Just send emails. Was told to remove clamp on my own but thats either going to cost money and no one wants to put anything in writing, as im not going to break the law for these useless company. Government needs to stop giving them power. I just have text message from, must have had an hard life and want to take it out on the whole world bailiff.

A bailiff attended my house on Saturday…

A bailiff attended my house on Saturday after receiving texts to pay but no letters to my home. He called me being evasive I had to ask several questions to ascertain who he was - only then did disclose who he was whilst demanding I open the front door. He told me all calls are recorded, that I did receive letters and that I have 24hours to pay not knowing my circumstances or mental health. The councils should hang their head in shame using bailiffs on the vulnerable and low paid!

Harassed pensioners

I left the UK in 2021. I apparently drove in a bus lane in 2021. I never recieved a PCN or any notice of the offence.

I recently visited the UK on holiday at my parents house and an enforcement letter arrived to the amount of £174 for a CCJ in my name.

No details of what it was or when. So I emailed them to ask for more information.

There are enough scams these days, why would you just pay a flimsy piece of paper with no evidence.

Marston state only the council or TEC can put a hold on the enforcement action. But a valid query or problem, you cannot ask for things to be paused while you investigate further.

I also emailed the council and they said they take 56 days to reply and the TEC 4-6 weeks. Yet Marston won't pause the account during this period, instead they add on more fees.

I emailed them on Friday 11th October asking them to put my account on hold. They ignored it, did not reply and instead on Monday sent a bailiff and added an extra £235 to the fee.

I live in Thailand, I have a home there and haven't been in the UK for 3 years. Even though I told them this, they keep coming to my retired mother's home and posting letters by hand through the door.

I paid the £174 on Monday. I will not pay any more fees.

But now they keep coming back for the £235 which is a made up fee in my opinion. The debt is paid.

They are bullies and harassing. They have no right to come to an address that I do not live in and stress my parents out.

They said they will go into my Mother's home and take items to sell. And they will clamp my car and stop me driving using ANPR cameras.

I do not have a car, I do not live in the UK. 😂

The bailiff on the phone Mr Wragg said "everyone has a reason not to pay and you've ignored the letters"

I have not.

I did not receive any PCN.

Why would anyone let £99 grow to £409.

Just ridiculous! And look at all their other Trust pilot reviews, it's all the same, they're bullies.

The £99 is paid and £75 admin fee.

Gateshead council should send me the original PCN and have my fee returned to £99.

Marston will then owe me £75... I wonder how easy that is to get back.

Their phone lines divert you to their website and they don't reply to emails.

If they visit my parents again I'll take my own legal action.

It's about time someone stood up to these bullies.

Mr Nicholls put a notice about someone else's debts in the wrong letterbox, then was aggressive on the phone when we rang to explain

Rang the named enforcement agent, Mr Nicholls, after an envelope addressed to someone else was put through the letterbox. Mr Nicholls was extremely aggressive, despite being told the long-term resident of the property had never heard of the person named on the envelope so the letter had been mis-delivered; and that the resident was a vulnerable adult. Mr Nicholls wrongly claimed the resident had committed a criminal offence by opening the envelope put through their letterbox (incorrect, as it was delivered by hand, not by Royal Mail), shouted at the caller, then put the phone down. Highly unprofessional behaviour.

Bullying tactics

How dare you come to.my door demanding payment for a parking fine that we knew nothing about. Not my fine yet was told they would be removing items from my house if we didn't pay. £424 for a parking fine that should not have been issued as the driver is disabled and has a blue badge. I was then threatened with if it took too long for me to pay the fine the fine would increase. I am a 67 year old woman who was frankly bullied by their nasty employee. I will be taking this further.

Laughable Bully boy tactics

I find it difficult to believe this company are allowed to trade. A phone call on my way to work early one morning demanding I make a payment that transpires wasn’t valid.
Ongoing threats from the bailiff insisting on payment being made while I was driving.
Bully boy tactics on the phone that had the opposite effect but the bailiff got himself all worked up. Shocking behaviour & an attempt to intimidate are clearly an acceptable approach. The reviews & 1out of 5 ratings tell a story. It’s those that facilitate them being used that are the problem.

If there was an option to give them…

If there was an option to give them less than 1 star I would certainly go for the lowest number. They sent all the enforcement letters to the wrong address and clamped my vehicle for 4 days as a result had to spend lots of money on taxi and lost days from work but when it comes to paying compensation they dont respond to your emails on time and no update for weeks and months. They just misuse the power they have and dont treat customers right/ fair at all.

Terrible company

Terrible company. I received a letter threatening me with the bailiffs as I had apparently broken my payment plan. What they fail to tell you is that when you have payed off an account they don't inform you of this and apparently its not their job to tell you. So because I had another account which they failed to tell me they sent my payments back to the council , so one minute they have transferred my payments to the new account then they decide to stop and like I said send the money to the council . Then threaten me with the bailiffs. I've never missed a payment , I suffer with severe mental health, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, emphysema, copd, chronic liver disease and they couldn't give a toss. Vile company. They should be shut down

Bank holiday collection

Turned up to collect on a bank holiday Monday when our business was closed. Threats that if we did not pay on the day they would hit us with a charge! I myself was abroad and only answered the call my chance, I paid the debt but was informed I had to pay to prevent further charges! It’s a bank holiday? Not really a working day, I therefore had no need to answer, very underhanded attempt to get further funds. As it happens I was on holiday in Turkey, I told a Turk who was listening that I was being fined 400% interest for using a toll road! He said this would never happen in Turkey! What the hell is happening in the uk!?

Absolute shameful awful company they do no negotiations do not care if you can even afford the payments that they request on their terms I have 2 children and work full time I am on an average salary and given the cost of living crises that's going on I have been told to pay them £234 a month that is a lot of money that I simply cannot afford, I am now in debt with other bills now as they have told me if I do not pay the the bailiffs will take my goods! They have no compassion, very rude staff I cannot get through when u want to call them and the app is completely useless you cant talk to anyone through the chat and even if you tell them you cannot afford such large payments they do not care just rude and threatening behaviour in return! They should be shut down!! They are not even a slight bit professional! They really should be ashamed of the company they work for.

Welch Liams a ledgend

Well.... As much as Baliffs are mostly bullied children looking to enjoy the exercising of control now in adult life, I will say this..

The 2 chaps iv dealt with from Marston have been of pretty decent character.
Iv has ongoing issues with my local authority regarding business rates and council tax, payments not being allocated correctly after they've been received, non accountability for payments sent etc... a very stressful time.
And when being visited by these blokes they have been able to dicuss the issues I have encountered, been good enough to go back to the local authority we are dealing with and glean further facts before pursuing with the orders they have been given.

Big shout out to the nice Welsh bloke Liam who despite having to undertake a fairly despicable job on behalf of a bunch of nobs, he is in actual fact a good guy!
so Thank you for not taking everything at face value and working on this particular job with abit of circumstantial attitude. Good man

Unbeknown to me some Irish fraudster…

Unbeknown to me some Irish fraudster registered a white transit van in our London address and got several parking tickets / Speeding tickets around Norfolk.
we have several CAD numbers from the police, yet Marston's still issued debt recovery enforcements letters, trying to contact Martsons is an absolute joke, the phone number tells you to download the app then hangs up, the app has an AI robot chat box so you get stuck in a loop, I managed to find another phone number but after being on hold for 25mins the line went dead. Absolutely ridiculous, and to add insult to injury we have been refused credit on our new car because of these debt recovery letters.. absolute knob jockeys.
