The lovely letter exchange
The lovely letter exchange was brilliant. I not only enjoyed receiving a really lovely letter, I enjoyed writing my one too. It was a nice moment away from tech and to actually think about communicating with a stranger. I'd definitely do this again.

What a beautiful bundle
What a beautiful bundle. I loved every detail. This was a gift for my friend and she adored it. Every single detail was beautiful.

Ordered mug which was described on website as including a lid and spoon. I’d previously ordered one before in pink and loved it so decided to order the black one . It arrived with no lid or spoon when I contacted customer service I got a curt reply - “the black one doesn’t come with lid or spoon”. I sent back a screen shot of the website where it clearly says the black one does and my message was read but ignored . Really disappointed, feel like I’ve been ripped off ☹️
*** amended original score as I have now received the replacement lid and spoon ***

Amazing customer service
I bought a personalised gift for a friend and was seriously disappointed when the wrong gift was sent. But then- amazingly- on the evening of the 23 December, the person I spoke to at Martha Brook, who had already left for the day, went back to work to dispatch the correct order- which got here before Christmas! Full marks for effort and making me feel like a valued customer
2025 Advent Calendar
Very disappointed with the contents of the advent calendar. Yes it looked beautiful, well put together and the personalised box gave a bit of excitement. However, the contents:- gold foil stars on string (stationery?) faux leather luggage tag, sticky notes, mechanical pencil that broke, 2 pens, faux leather pen holder, 2 notebooks, a stamp pad - but no stamp, postcards, bookmark.. for the price it was hugely disappointing. My daughter for a similar price point got a beauty advent calendar which had some full size, expensive branded products!

Advent calendar 2025
I love supporting small businesses, but for the price I paid I'm so disappointed with my advent calendar contents. I thought more items would be personalised and a lot of the items felt cheap. If more of the items had been similar in quality to the slim pen and the gold bookmarks, I would have felt happier.

REALLY disappointed with the advent calendar
REALLY disappointed with the advent calendar. For something priced at over £100, I would expect each day to have a perceived value of £3-5. I bought it for my partner, and it was cool to have her name personalised on the box, and the presentation with the gold leaf is also beautiful, but the contents are BLEAK.
We’re opening it day by day, and I was going to wait until after Christmas to give it the benefit of the doubt, but today she opened up some faux-leather Post-it notes, and all I could think was “I would expect this stuff to be in an expensive Christmas cracker - not a £120 advent calendar”. We’ve also had some paper Christmas decorations; hanging foil stars; a faux-leather luggage tag; a mechanical pencil; a cardboard bookmark with a tassel; and a pen. Some of these were alright and expected, but I was hoping for more stationery - useful stuff you could fill a pencil case with!
I have nothing to compare it to because this is the first year I’ve managed to secure a calendar, but I don’t think I would buy it again unless the contents drastically improved.
What makes it worse is that the excitement has completely worn off. Instead of looking forward to each morning, we now open the little doors with a sense of dread, wondering what underwhelming trinket we’ll get next. For a premium product, I expected a sense of joy and surprise that justified the cost. Right now, it feels like a very expensive box of filler items.
I really hope the company takes this feedback on board. The charm of the personalisation and gold presentation is wasted if the contents leave loyal customers feeling short-changed and frustrated. At this price point, I would expect thoughtful, practical items that feel special and worthy of the brand’s reputation.

Not worth the price
I am really disappointed with the advent calendar and certainly dont think it is worth the price I paid. I saw the adverts last year and was persuaded to try it this year. The external packaging is nothing special, name is written in gold pen. The inner boxes look beautiful but thats it. I waited until today to start the calendar, ignored all the unboxing videos but Ive ended up opening all the days rather than waiting - there are a couple of nice items but most of the items could be bought cheaper elsewhere. Very disappointed.

I love Martha Brooke, but advent was damaged
I love Martha Brooke, I order every year I’m soon enough to do so. But my advent calendar was damaged when it arrived in Canada. Which is disappointing.
I've received my magic box last week
I've received my magic box last week.
I was expecting a lot about the opening and the discovering of the items.
I was NOT disappointed 🤩
All items are really good quality and have a touch of magic.
I'm excited to offer the advent calander to my niece soon.
Thanks for the easy communication for special requests.
Sadly, disappointed
Honestly, for $170 I expected more from the 24 Days Of Stationery Advent Calendar. It was a sacrifice to buy and I’m very disappointed. There were like 10 total cards, a small notepad, a small to do notepad, a few pens, and a few bookmarks.
I was expecting quite a bit nicer and more for the price point. If it had been $60 the items included would have been reasonable.
Disappointed to say the least.

Stunning diary ✨
I ordered this for myself & I forgot I got it gift wrapped. When it arrived I was so pleasantly surprised, stunning diary & loved the ability to personalise it
I love my stationery advent calendar
I love my stationery advent calendar! This my second year getting it and I am excited to start it on December 1st! The items are quality!
I am so happy with my purchase
It was so grateful and i can’t wait to be pen My advent calendar!!thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Poor customer offer?
Having bought excellent items from Martha in the past. Narrowly missing her signature 24 days item last year and contacting them several times since I am extremely frustrated to see that the limited stock sold out during the Amazon network issue. The email from Chris said sorry - try again next year. Now having spent too long in UK Retail industry seeing insufficient stock, causing a lottery of purchase like pop concert tickets, being told to wait is a very poor service! So for me I won’t be buying from this company again.
