Finally arrived. Cheap crap, wrong colors, and they’ve been deaf to appeals. They should be ashamed. I really liked the pictured design, but reality is flimsy, undersized cheat metal and plastic.

This is a company that lies about…

This is a company that lies about pretty much everything. When I wrote to them after receiving my "pearl" earrings, they offered me incentives to give them a good review. There is no "Mary," there is no store, there is no store closing, there is no handmade jewelry. Cheap products and an avalanche of lies. This company needs to be put out of business by government regulations against fraud.

Placed a significantly large order…

Placed a significantly large order early December for Christmas gifts did not get delivered until January. When items arrived all plastic no real stones or even substance of costume jewelry. Only like heavy plastic and horrible quality. Will not wear any of it, what a horrible decision to buy from this company.

It not only took 7 weeks to arrive but these are the cheapest earrings - something you would buy at Claire’s for about $4.990 tops. Mary is not a real person. I don’t even think these things are actually made in Canada. This business should be closed down.

Business is a scam,

Business is a scam,
Jewelry is promoted as being handmade by "Mary" from New York. Turns out Mary likes to ship her "handmade" items from China. They will off and on promote on FB that Mary is closing the store and everything must go. I ordered a ring because tbh the website is very convincing and there no indication about the actual shop location unless you deep dive into the FAQ. The ring I purchased was supposed to be Moonstone and Crystal. I got a poorly made ring with a piece of glass as the "moonstone" and poorly glued in rhinestones as the crystals. When I emailed support that offered a free piece of jewelry off the website and begged for a 5 star review on trust pilot.

What a joke

What a joke! Received one ring too small and the other different than what was advertised. Sent pics of both rings and proof of the mistake but they refused to do anything to correct it. DO NOT buy anything from this company it’s a scam!

Scam jewelry company in China

I ordered jewelry from this company and returned all of it - it's all cheap costume jewelry made in China. The jewelry is not hand made in America. I paid $44 to return the crap to China only to have it refused and returned which took three months. They go by lots of other names ie:Ruth, Beth, Mary. The stories are all the same: how after many years they’re closing their stores. There are no stores. It is a scam and you will not get a refund. The website disappears and emails bounce back as undeliverable.
Why are these ads (scams) allowed on Facebook?

Bad product

I ordered three items. Only two arrived. Getting the third item, a ring took a long time and I missed giving it as a gift. A necklace I ordered the first time arrive in a balled up mess. I could not untangle it. They sent me a replacement but it too arrived in knots. Never again will I order from this knock off company

First of all my ring took forever to receive. Once I got the ring, I tried to stretch it open to fit my finger because after all, it’s an adjustable ring and it broke. Of course I contacted customer service and they said there is no guarantee and it wasn’t broken upon arrival. After much complaining stating it was false advertising, they gave me a percentage off. It wasn’t much but buyer beware of this crooked company

This jewelry from Mary's Gems is spray painted plastic. Not kidding. You can see the nipples from where the plastic is injected into the mold. I was duped. The designs are really beautiful on the website, but the product itself is either plastic or aluminum spray painted. DO NOT BUY.

Do not buy from Mary's Gems

Do not buy from Mary's Gems. It is a copycat of Ella's-Boutique and several other "sadly going out of business" sales. Product is not genuine, with base metal not sterling, fake stones (plastic), and not from the US as indicated in the marketing. All items are shipped from China. I reported Ella's Boutique to Shopify and Consumer Protection agency, but have not seen that it has been taken down. These sellers just keep opening these businesses and make a decent income by defrauding those looking for a deal. And costs to return to China are the disincentives that allow them to keep their profits.
Some govt. agency needs to shut these companies down.

So I was duped into thinking this lady…

So I was duped into thinking this lady was closing her jewelry store and I bought 4 pieces at a good discount. She did mention that it would take longer to delivery as she was doing batches of shipments, etc. No problem. Well, today I received the items. They are decent but ARE not sterling silver and one is just plain cheap looking. After reading the shipping FAQ, there is a blatant typo and this "back company" must also go by "Beth's Gems". I am going to report to my bank. Also, could not understand why they shipped from Jamaica, NY (I know where that is) when it would have gone through Hartford to my house.

Pleased at first...until my skin turned white.

I became quite leery after I placed the order, and then read reviews. No Mary in New York, someone in China. I thought about disputing the credit card bill but decided I should wait until the rings arrive. They eventually did and I was quite pleasantly surprised at how they look. It is clear they are not silver or gold, probably a base metal. I had ordered 3 rings, all in a size 6. Well, the smallest is a 6-1/2. The second one is a 7-1/2, and the third ring is a 10-1/2. That one won't even stay on my thumb. I have been wearing one of the rings for about 9 days, and just realized it has turned my skin white underneath the ring. YIKES!!! I think the first layer of skin has died. I'm not going to wear any of them. Lesson learned.

Don't be duped by photos

I was duped as i first learned of Marys gems from Instagram ad attached to local jewelers that i support. The site shows a new jersey address rather than china where the business originates. Most of the jewelry that i ordered is not like the photos shown on the website. But to return them for a refund would likely cost more than i want to spend. Don't be fooled by the few good reviews.

I’m usually pretty savvy

I’m usually pretty savvy, but was totally duped by this site from “Mattituck”, NY, aka known as China. The jewelry photos were probably of real jewelry. The “gems” you receive are COMPLETE GARBAGE! Wish I had checked this site before ordering. I’ve learned an expensive lesson.

Mary, Beth and Ruth Gems! All SCAM Companies

Thank god for PayPal being so smart to stop me from being scammed! I had gotten the same add for MarysGems on facebook and looked great. I picked out all kinda items and was checking out, figured what a score since Mary is closing up shop! Paypal would not let the transaction go through no many how many times I tried - thank you Paypal! Thats when I decided, maybe I better google this company. After very little investigating, I found that the scam has been going on for years with China. Made product under multiple stories about Mary, Beth and Ruth….same junk jewelry. Same scams from china. When you even type in Bethsgems.com it takes you to that website, but the story is about Mary and at the top heading of that page. It says Mary’s gems. These people from China are even getting their scam stories confused!! DO NOT BUY!!
