I found my dream guitar - a Gibson CS 1959 Les Paul Tennessee Sunset, 1 of 5 pieces - on the MAX website.
In a friendly and trusting correspondence, all details were quickly clarified. The delivery was done with DHL Express.

Without expecting it, some time ago I found a guitar strap (ClipClap) at Max Guitar in Scheveningen that I had been looking for for a long time. I took two of them with me. Now I wanted two more straps and Max Guitar had two straps made according to my wishes (leather and buckle colours).
This is great service and I will keep checking back with Max Guitar (mainly online as I'm from Germany) whenever I need anything again.

Best guitar store in all of the Netherlands. Their selection is incredibly diverse, a lot of stuff you can only find there! All the staff are super knowledgeable and willing to help. I bought a guitar and it was perfectly set up. Responses and delivery were very fast - Highly recommend them for all levels of guitarists!

This shop can be proud on itself! I bought a Fender Vintera Strat, but before I found Max Guitar I first bought the same guitar in an other shop, online. The site told told there were enough of them in stock, but some days after I paid I heard that it would take 3 months (!) to deliver. Then I went to another shop and the Fender I got was not good. I returned it and the next one was also not good! Straight out of the unopened box …
I returned the guitar. Now I found Max Guitar on the internet (why not sooner???) and now I have my Fender Vintera at home. Before delivery they checked the complete guitar and then send it to me. I am so happy!

While looking for an D'angelico, I stumbled upon the Max Guitar website. What a nice surprise, I found the model I was looking for much less than the competition. As I wanted a light guitar, they took the time to weigh the different copies they had. In addition, the guitar has been checked and tuned before shipment. It really is flawless! well done

Robbert and the team at Max Guitar are sensational! They sourced and secured a very rare and sought after guitar on my behalf, were extremely professional and the customer service was gold standard! I live in Australia and they made the whole transaction super easy. The guitar arrived within a week (amazing given current postage delays), they had re-packaged and completely covered the box to avoid any 'mishaps' on it's voyage. I really could not recommend these guys more, they are BRILLIANT and will definitely transact through them again!

The people are professionals in facts and soft skills. Meanwhile I bought two custom shop guitars online - one new, one preowned - and both are wonderful. An experience that could happen again ...

I bought a VS Royal Flush LTD New guitar pedal from Max Guitar Store online. But they shipped me, what I think, a used one. I took a photo of the pedal and contacted them by email.
They were super friendly and told me to shipped it back and I will receive another, a new one, what I did. Two days later I received my new pedal and this time in mint condition. Owner (Robert) agreed with me he would buy my Duesenberg for a price and if I would get stuff from the store he would pay me more (I have this all in email). Went and left my guitar there, I didn’t want to get anything he had in store so he purposed I would think about it and write him later. I left the store, thought about it for 1 week and wrote that I wanted the money. He wrote me back that in person we agreed on store credit and store credit I can’t get as money. Although I had all in emails very clear he still said in person we said something else. He ends his email by telling me that in the Netherlands a deal is a deal and maybe it’s different in my country… not a racist guy. Btw he also said he had sold my guitar and this was a month ago but it is still available on his website. In other words, whatever he says is worth nothing.
Had to get 2 guitars I did not want just to end this problem since the other option would be to go to court and in the process spend more money. Will never make business with him again.

Absolutely friendly and professional. I made a deal giving a guitar in payment for another. The new one comes well packed, quick, and .. well set up with new strings! Out of the box and picking! I am absolutely satisfied!. Next time again at Max's. Thanks.

Bought an excellent guitar today, an Eastman SB54, in the Den Haag shop from Robbert. Every wish has been fulfilled without much ado like lowering the string action and raising one pickups height. I was allowed to take any Custom Shop Gibson off the wall to compare. An amp of my choice to check the amplified tone was no problem so what can I say? It was a perfect shopping experience and I fully recommend Max Guitar to anyone! On top of that Robbert agreed to open the shop for me again 2 hours after closing time to pick up the guitar after being shopping downtown!

Very friendly and helpful employees. The guitar wasn't available in stock when I bought it but they set the right expectations right from the beginning. I had to wait a few weeks but I can say now it was definitely worth the waiting. The guitar is amazing! They did a great job packing it up before sending it over. I saw some negative reviews here before buying the guitar online where people were dissatisfied with the service they got after the purchase (and that made me think twice) but it wasn't my case, not at all. I'd risk to say those seem to be rather isolated events. Everything worked out just fine. Highly recommended!

Nothing but excellence! After having tried quite a few strats in the store whilst receiving excellent advise on the guitars, recently ordered a 75th anniversary commemarative stratocaster. The strat arrived yesterday at the shop and today already on my doorstep! Super service. Very friendly staff, every time!
