I recently visited the Spondon branch (Store 3726) of Max Spielmann to have passport photos taken for my 2.5-month-old daughter. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory.
The staff member, Becca, made a remark that I found extremely rude and unprofessional: "I cannot do much if you do not like your baby’s face." As a parent, I expected patience and understanding, especially with a young child. To make matters worse, after I questioned this comment, she refused to continue serving me, leaving me without the service I came for.
Additionally, I was concerned about hygiene standards. The changing mat used to place my baby was not cleaned prior to use and was dusty, which is concerning given how delicate young babies are.
I hope my feedback helps improve the service for others. I would not recommend this branch based on my experience.

Visited the Asda Store, Bridge Centre, Portsmouth today. The staff member Toni, was just fantastic. He was working alone and he had 4 customers including myself waiting for various different printing. He kept eye contact with to all of us, explained what he was doing the whole time, he was totally in control and thoroughly pleasant throughout. This team member is a credit to your company.

I have used the order online, collect from kiosk 3 times now and it has failed twice. Also nowhere i saw informed you that if the kiosk you select is out of order (as happened me first time) you can use another - in sheer desperation for handing in a report we tried that and luckily it worked. However today it didnt work in two places - shoddy and stressful. Also absolutely no recourse at weekends

I visited Max Spielmann in their Minworth store. The assistant Elise was so helpful and friendly that I will not hesitate in using this store for all future printing requirements.

Just want to say after the first attempt where things went a bit wrong and we got a little bit upset, they have been absolutely amazing at sorting it out. We came in today to redo our photoshoot with jack and from start to finish it was amazing he didn't rush us he engaged with my daughter to get her to look at the camera and he talked about out options in detail. we will 100% be using them again after this. If you ever want a photoshoot doing I do recommend coming here and asking for Jack.

Recently paid for digital & physical copies of 35mm film photos, after 9 working days still no response so I contacted customer services, the agent lied twice about digital copies being sent, when I requested the link again she said quote “ There hasn’t been a link sent for this order yet” and I would have to wait for physical copies to arrive. Not good enough when I have paid almost £20 for digital & physical copies, the film was important for work. When I requested a partial refund & asked to register a complaint they have since started ignoring me.
Terrible service from Max Spielmann & Caitlin Green. Will not be using anymore after years of doing so. Being lied to about a service I’ve paid for is horrific.

I can honestly say Lilly is the reason I choose the Crewe store every single time. Her energy and spark instantly brighten the whole place — you can feel it as soon as you walk in. She is consistently professional, incredibly helpful, and so genuinely approachable. No matter how busy it is, she always makes time for a chat and makes you feel valued as a customer.
I actually live 12 miles away, and there’s another store just 1.5 miles from my home — but I will always make the extra journey to Crewe because Lilly transforms a simple visit into such a positive experience. That says everything.

Very disappointed with the service!
I ordered baby photos online for Click & Collect .The website clearly states prints are ready in 20 minutes (up to 1 hour for larger sizes). I arrived after more than 2 hours — and my order was not ready.
I waited another hour in the store while staff tried to understand what was happening. No one seemed to know anything about the printer or my order. I was told to call customer service, but no one answered the phone.
I was there with my baby, who became exhausted and started crying after waiting so long. In the end, I had to leave without the photos. The gift I had planned was completely ruined.
Very poor organisation, no communication, and no accountability. I will not be using this service again.

I wanted 2 photos to be blended but what I got was a photo that looked like it had another glued on top of it, a total waste of money (wasn't cheap either) and really bad quality. Would not recommend, ask a child to use the school computer instead for better results.

I went to the Hilsborough Exchange branch in Sheffield. I needed copies of photographs of my brother, who died recently. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and wasn’t sure how to go about this. Tommy was fantastic! He was calm and reassuring, very professional and helped to produce some lovely photographs for the memorial. It got very busy and Tommy remained calm and managed the waiting customers. Thanks Tommy! You did a great job and reduced my stress levels at a difficult time. You’re a credit to the company.

I visited the store at Grove Park Tiangle: Fosse Park Leicester yesterday. The female assistant was polite, friendly and very helpful.
She was on a break at the counter, however, she still made it her priority to help me to print a document. She went above and beyond, she was absolutely fantastic! I came away feeling very pleased that I’d had such an amazing experience. I will definitely visit again. Five stars 🌟

They were both extremely patient & helpful when enabling me to transfer a massive file of complicated photos of written work on to a USB. They always keep their cool & full of smiles to customers. It’s a treat to receive such great customer service, even when the shop is full of customers. Thank you ladies.

I purchased a passport photo which was rejected by HM passport office.
The lady at Tesco Hexham was very rude when I requested a refund as I had lost my till receipt and was told the email which I had received from them could have been sent by anyone!! I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager and took great offence when I glanced at her badge! (I could not believe she was the manager) She began to rant and was very angry but said she would give me a refund, her attitude was disgusting.
I used an online app which was much cheaper, less hassle and was immediately accepted by HM passport office.

Used a Photo Booth for passport photos, had an issue with the processing, rang the helpline and the lady on the phone was brilliant! Sorted it out online and reset the machine to take the photo again. Submitted the photo and passport on the way! Thank you

Totally regret using the apply and go passport service - it is meant to be stressfree and convenient, it has been neither due to the awful customer service received from head office. Old passport was meant to be sent from store to the passport office. Whilst there is a tracking number, which the store refused to supply me to begin with, the tracker says that the courier has not yet received it whilst the store is saying they have but cannot prove this. My husband and I have been waiting since Thursday for somebody at head office to call about this. I was told on Thursday that I would have an answer by Friday morning at the latest and that Helen at head office would call. I have learnt today that Helen wasn't even in on Friday, and won't be on Monday. The people in the store have been as helpful as they can be but have no proof that the parcel was picked up and stated that the delivery man didn't scan my parcel when it was picked up - I am not sure why they allowed him to take it! I have had to lodged my passport as lost and have incurred a week delay in my passport application, which has now been complicated due to it now been a replacement of a lost one and not simply a renewal. This has caused me so much stress and anxiety.
I am still awaiting any communication from head office and will be making a formal complaint.
Nobody was watching the tracker to check what was going on with it etc, and the fact something was wrong was only highlighted because I asked them to confirm to me that my old passport had reached the passport office!
Do not use this service, they cannot be trusted with such an important document and head office show absolutely no care for you as a customer if something goes wrong. Disgusting customer service.

I went to Max Spielmann Asda branch to print out a poster. There were only three customers at the time, and we are all waiting patiently- waiting our turns. I have adjusted the size of the poster to the sized she has recommended. But when it came out it’s cut off, top and bottom. I told her- oh wait it’s cup off, she said- just a bit. I said- no, sorry that’s a campaign poster I can’t have it cut off and I paid for it. She then ripped the poster in front of everyone, completely unprofessional - blaming me that she was trying to help but I just went on my own. First- she was already worked up with 3 customers and showing frustration the when the two old ladies pointed that the colour of dress from the picture turned yellow. She mentioned, she autistic and offered to redo it. I understand that you autistic and thanks for the offer. But I didn’t come to your shop to be treated like that, she seemed to think that’s it’s easy to vent her frustration on me because I’m a person of colour and the two old ladies were not. The double standard is just staggering. She reacted differently when both customers pointed that the picture was not done right…
