Mayfield Retirement Village has excellent facilities all at a very high standard. The salesman was very welcoming and spent a long time explaining all aspects of the operation in great detail. He answered all my questions. The communal areas are very extensive with everything you could want.

Claire showed me round and I was very impresssed with all aspects.
Clean, friendly, great amenities and well designed apartments.

The sales representative met us and spent time getting to know my aunt. This was in relation to both her concerns and what she valued about her life currently. This was something that we hadn't experienced elsewhere and made a good impression.
The common areas and show flat were bright, modern and very comfortable. Everyone we met, both staff and residents were friendly. The activities and other facilities were wide ranging and impressive. All questions were answered and a comprehensive pack had been put together explaining the financial considerations. At no stage were we made to feel that the sale of a flat was the only objective. My experience when visiting Mayfield village was very thought provoking. It made me think about exactly how I wanted to live the rest of my life. I have been living alone for 6 months now since my husband passed away. I know I'm a gregarious person who needs people and I could see how useful the Mayfield's beautiful premises and atmosphere would provide company and interest to peoples' lives. The only downside, in my opinion, is the position where the Mayfield premises are situated. There seems to be building works going on all around. I feel I cannot rush to change my life yet. The selling team were excellent and did not appear to push. When I am ready to move, I will certainly consider this place.

It was very nice, clean and great amenities. Too costly and upkeep with other charges.
Area seems congested and with balcony not a good view.

I spent two hours being shown around Mayfield Watford by Oliver. Initially we sat and chatted so he could get to know what was important to my life.

His face lit up when I mentioned Bridge - sure enough they have a very inviting games area with an interesting calendar of events.

The gym and swimming pool area looked most inviting. I was delighted to see a hairdressing/nail salon.

Residents can book the pool to have private times with friends and family. Same with the Community Room for special occasions.

The dining area looked very inviting and it was good to hear it is open to the public and that residents get a 15% reduction.

The building is quite new and looked spotless. Indoor Parking is available for residents at £4 per day.

The grounds are beautiful and a delight as the building is close to Watford Hospital. There are safe walks nearby.

I think Mayfield have put amazing thought into the Village concept. What an alternative to residential care homes!

I was very impressed by Oliver and the care he showed towards residents. Their comfort and safety is top of the agenda.

The show apartment was beautiful and cleverly planned. I have no hesitation whatever in recommending this facility to people who are considering their next step.

Your Watford development was very impressive and Gordon was very professional and spent a lot of time and trouble with us. He was excellent in every respect. We will now put our apartment on the market in the hope and expectation that it sells and we can move closer to purchasing an apartment in Watford
