Amazing facilities, very friendly home-from-home.
Kirstie explained everything very clearly and showed me round the accommodation and facilities. She did not rush me, or pressure me, and listened to what I asked or said. Mayfield certainly seems to provide everything I am looking for, for the next stage of my life. The only slight downside was the location, a little bit of a concrete jungle, although a park and shops were nearby.

Downsizing
Very comfortable environment with the potential for many diverse activities. Claire, who showed us around, is a very good advert for the village. The flat that we looked at was very nice and we now need to visit again after we have discussed the flat with our family.

A Delightful Experience
The village was delightful, with beautiful, well-kept gardens and views over a wildlife reserve.
Properties were maintained to a high standard and the range of activities on offer were quite comprehensive and interesting.
The Adviser who showed us around was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the meal provided was thoughtfully prepared and very much appreciated.

Genuinely pleasantly surprised!
My wife and I visited the Mayfield Retirement Village in Watford after a hospital appointment and were genuinely cheered up by the experience. This was a pleasant surprise because we did not expect it to be such a great place to live at that price and location. The flat we were shown was outside facing with balcony and the large windows provided plenty of natural light. It was modern, well laid out and spacious enough for a retired couple. Onsite amenities and the range of activities on offer are very impressive, everything one could wish for with added security. We were initially looking at the place for my mother, but we realised that, when the time is right, we would not mind living there ourselves.

We wentnt to see but was small and asked for…
Went to see but was small and asked for a larger appartment but was not shown to us in first visit. Arranged for second visit and requested to have a use of the spa facilities. Sales person Gordon agreed and then said no as it was "private". The whole purpose of requesting use of spa was to get the feel and was a big consideration of purpose. Basically the sales person was not straight and quite rude in the whole process. We have decided not to bother with such a company even though we like it. Also maintenance charge per year equates to that of our existing large property, therefore quite high and also in future we would have no control over this.

It was great to meet your agent, the place is very impressive, with all the amenities on site, I have received all the information , the apartment that I have seen is very pleasant, roomy and well equipped. Will have to make my calculations to consider what and how to manage a possible move. I have seen quite a number of places and Mayfield is on top of the list.
