Writing this review about memorial card shop.ie who I believe are the same company but aren’t actually Dublin based as their website suggests. Unfortunately I made an error when putting my Dad’s memorial bookmark together. I realised it just after I submitted it and made immediate contact. They were so unsympathetic and rude. Even when I cancelled the order (and paid for them) they still sent the bookmarks which made it even worse! I was determined not to have to pay them a second time so went with Memorial Printworks - fantastic experience and personal service from Gary, and much better quality bookmarks!

The service I received from the Memorial Card shop was professional, efficient and prompt. The quality of the memorial card was beautifully finished. I would highly recommend. The whole process was easy to order. Thank you again.

Had a short timeframe of less than a week. Adam and the team hopped on the phone late on a Friday afternoon, worked with us to create the perfect design and get it to print shortly after. They were delivered by Thursday the following week and were perfect, ready for our memorial service back in Ireland. The follow up from Adam was also amazing. A great team to work with via constant engagement and suggestions to make the experience easy.

They were very helpful and the product was excellent.

First time using an online design service for cards, so bit nervous, however was pleased with help I got from this company. The cards were for my father so was important for them to be a lovely tribute. When the cards arrived I was so very pleased with the lovely colours and the quality. My family were really pleased, I thank the team at memorial card shop for making a sad situation a little easier to deal with.

Having recently used the Memorial Card shop for memorial cards following the passing of my father, I was left very disappointed (and horrified by the lack of customer service and professionalism) and would not use again.

Firstly and positively, the ordering of the memorial cards was very easy. All images and content were uploaded and a response was received very quickly showing what the print would look like, which was great. This process was quite impersonal and very transactional (feedback already given prior to receiving product) but the end product looked great!

The product was received much quicker than anticipated. Visually, the product looked beautiful and the colours were of great quality.
Unfortunately a month later at the earliest possible date to distribute, I then realised that the 8 out of 25 were incorrect and had another persons picture on them!

A mistake at such a sensitive time is obviously distressing but this was made more irritating by the responses received when I emailed them to notify them of the error. I was given an apology along with statements to say that these all should have been checked on arrival like purchases from “other retailers” and that it is “not humanly possible” for them to check all the orders. I wrote back to express my dissatisfaction at the response and to say the error was at their end and not mine, I assumed having checked the first ten or so that the rest would have been the same! (lesson learned!)

Had the response have been more sincere and simple, stating: we are very sorry for your incorrect order and will rectify straight away, that would have been fine but cheeky responses is not the way to go when dealing with a delicate purchase which you are aware is not about a happy occasion (and also when this is not the first review pointing out rude responses).

When I called out the attitude and said it was unprofessional and unacceptable to place the blame on me and accept none, the response was “Not sure why you only checked part of a such a small order, which simply makes no sense at all.” It is disappointing to think that some of my order is with another person who is undoubtedly as disappointed as I am by this error. However small the order may be, there is no justification for such rude responses. I find it hard to believe that many customers check every single card in their order, regardless of the size of the order.

The company did send me out 8 correct cards in the post following this exchange so they did rectify the problem. I never asked for nor desired any reimbursement for the errors, I just wanted the problem acknowledged and dealt with professionally and sensitively.

Do check EVERY SINGLE card, whether it be 25 or 225!

Everyone I spoke to was professional and helpful. The finished product was beautiful.

Creating a memorial card can seem daunting, but they have setup a process online that is so easy, fast and responsive that I believe almost anyone could create a great card and save it to their account to be printed when they are required.

You also have a lot of flexibility to personalise everything so that you can truly make something that reflects who the person is.

If you don’t feel comfortable with making it yourself you can use one of their designers and you always get to see a PDF proof of the design first so that you know what you are going to get.

I received the cards before schedule on a high quality glossy card and with envelopes because i ordered over 150 though you can order as little as 25 I think. I was very happy with the way they turned out as I didn’t want something too impersonal. Very professional and customer focused business.
