An important interesting and useful day of training to make sure that I make the most out of using the SDQs with the young people I work with.

Excellent content; current, relevant and evidence based. Excellent delivery; holistic, puts the child in context, making the exercise and meaning of the SDQ a helpful, indispensable tool, evidence base for further referral investigation, for staff to better understand the child and be proactive, implementing immediate action to support the child, accurately.
I fully recommend this course.

Marcus was extremely knowledgable, engaging and friendly. He made the information easy to process and understand. I have completed several courses with Marcus and come away feeling inspired and motivated - thank you!

This is a great course for those who perhaps already use the SDQ in school or for those who are thinking of implementing it. It is far more in-depth look at the SDQ and how it can be implemented in schools as part of the graduated response to meeting the needs of learners. As well as going through the scoring process it addresses what each area assessed means and offers suggestions as to activities that can be used with the learners. A really useful and informative day with laughs along the way!

The SDQ day course with Marcus really exceeded my expectations. I was engaged throughout the session as every thing he spoke about was so interesting and relevant and pitched at just the right level. The power points, the examples and general overall of the day was very useful and informative, I dont think there was a part where I can say I didnt need to know that.
I feel well equipped and confident to go back to my work force and inform them of what i have learnt today.
Thanks again

A fabulous, both academic and practical, course that has given me a good understanding of the SDQ when, where and how to use them and what to do with the results.

Knowledgeable and experienced staff.
Talking on a subject that is close to their hearts with passion and skill. A large group of SENCos and other teachers involved in SEMH needs went away with a new tools in their ever expanding bag.

Expertly Delivered
The Mental Health Hub once again have delivered a course clearly from someone with expert knowledge. Marcus takes time to explain everything and is always prepared to ensure everyone is fully understanding. With the SDQ training the participants get to trial the questionnaires, which takes away the worry of what to do in a real time situation. A very useful course for those seeing SDQs for the first time or needing a refresher.

I have been using the SDQ's as an independent practitioner and have found them very useful, so have the schools and settings I work with.

Really useful training and excellent communication beforehand.

Extremely knowledgeable presenter, very good at explaining and answering questions. Great demonstrations and encouraged to use a work sheet-which made it more real and better to understand.
The only thing I suggest to replace is using the "Thrive model" -ie getting advice-getting help- instead of using tiers. Thank you and keep up the excellent support-much appreciated!
