Friendly, professional and attentive from start to finish. As a single mum and first time buyer, both Daniel and Nadine provided a smooth and stress free service. Daniel sourced a property and mortgage which fit my needs both financially and family wise. A detailed explanation of the buying process and reassurance when needed, particularly as a first time buyer! Nadine regularly chased for updates from the mortgage provider and solicitors. Merit mortgages has been brilliant. Dan took the time to explain everything, run through all our options and have online meetings and emails. He was great at keeping us on track, he had to chase us at times but this was done in a lovely way. Once it was all set up he still kept an eye on the rates and even organised us a new deal when rates went down, for no additional fee. Louise went through all our protection options based on what we asked for. She explained the benefits without being pushy or hard selling. Always had time to answer my questions and make the necessary changes. Dan, Louise and the team really do have your best interests at heart. I cannot recommend them enough.

We tried Dan at Merit Mortgages this year for the first time after using the same adviser for the last 3 mortgages and finding that we were having to chase him for answers or follow ups. I can honestly say it has been the best thing we've done ... we saw Dan's name mentioned on our local FaceBook group and can see why. He has been available at short notice to review our needs, has never minded my endless questions, has made the application process seamless and has been proactive on our behalf. We got a rate set 5 months before our mortgage was due to renew and Dan has secured 3 more better deals along the way resulting in a large reduction of our monthly payment. Merit review the rates each month to ensure you end up with the best rate available before you complete. We're set now for the next 2 years but have no doubt we'll be straight back to Dan for our next mortgage when we need it.

Daniel and Nadine were so patient and accommodating with me being self employed and my wife American. They had to wait weeks for me to get my documents in line and delay after delay from my side but their professionalism hung true throughout and now we have a mortgage approved.
