Dan worked with me to get my original (and first) mortgage. Now 5 years down the line I returned for my re-mortgage. The whole process is hand-off which makes it stress free. I honestly cannot praise Kate from Merit Mortgages enough.
Without going into too much detail, me and my husband had pretty much given up hope of ever being in a position to buy a property, given how difficult it is to get on the market. After speaking to Dan from Merit Mortgages for a full mortgage, which we found was not for us, we agreed to try for Shared Ownership and he put us in touch with Kate and OMG, this is the best thing that could have happened! Kate understood us as a family completely. She truly listened to our fears and worries, and reassured us that we were not hopeless, and that our dreams could be achieved. No question was silly, no phone call was a trouble, she has been a literal god send. Kept us up to date on everything and was clear in explaining what was required each step of the way.
We now have a Mortgage fully agreed, a house reserved and in the process of instructing solicitors - ready for the next step.

Daniel was absolutely fantastic every step of the way. I recently purchased my first house and had a complex case and he was brilliant in securing me the best possible rate and checking regularly to make sure it was the best deal. Daniel was very understanding of my health conditions and ensuring I understood the process and taking the time to answer questions and communicate by text, email and video call throughout. He still checks in regularly to see how I am getting on and clearly loves what he does and helping people complete on their dream homes. I wouldn't use anyone else and am looking forward to remortgaging with him (as much as one can!!) ☺️
