Awful service

Awful service, requested a new phone as part of an upgrade and I asked them to keep the same number, however Metrofone set me up on a new plan with a new number so I lost the number I’ve had for 15 years. Never go through a third party like Metrofone, go to your provider direct

After reviewing your account, we can see that you’ve applied for a new connection and not an upgrade. During checkout, you did mention having an existing number with the network. However, we do clearly state under this section: “Please note, you are applying for a new connection. Providing your existing number only helps us identify you with the network.”

Fonehouse are brilliant

Fonehouse are brilliant, found the best deal on the handset I wanted, no upfront cost and 24 month contract not the 36 month contract the networks are now trying to push and £20 per month cheaper, customer services are excellent they were so helpful with the delivery due to my working hours, this is the second time ordering from them, highly recommended using them fantastic 😍

hassle free

I purchased a contracted phone through Metrofone, and the experience was entirely hassle-free. I was consistently kept informed throughout the application process, which took approximately three days. I highly recommend their service.

cashback claim

Made claim for the cashback back in February when it was due. The claim had been processed and accepted but failed to honour the payment due.Email mailed three times and a phone call, keep stating waiting for the development team response for the payment.Another claim is due soon as per the contract.
I'm thinking of taking legal advice.
Never ever going to deal with this company again .

Scammers

Went through uswitch to find a new phone. Metrofone seemed to have a good deal on so i went for it. Took an upfront payment of £25 from my bank then next day they cancelled my order. I failed their security checks apparently. So i'm left with a credit check on my file (which i did pass btw) waiting for a £25 refund and no phone which i was relying on coming.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this company they need banning from uswitch as ive heard they've done this before...uswitch will be my next complaint letter!

Don’t use them

Don’t use them! They had a good deal on a iphone16 so I chose to take it. Took all my personal details and an up front cost and told me the order has been successfully placed (luckily I took a screenshot). Didn’t get an order ID or any emails to acknowledge the order. Waited 3 days (phone was promised as Next Day delivery) and emailed them and they responded with “your credit check passed but you failed a security check - we’ve cancelled your order”. Great. I asked why the security check failed - can’t tell me. The credit check passed with the network provider (Three), and it’s permanently on my credit record, but Metrofone’s own checks failed so I can’t have the phone/contract. I asked why they didn’t do security checks before passing to Three for a credit check - can’t tell me for security reasons. Deal seemed too good to be true - I guess it was. Makes me think they didn’t have the phones available in the first place. Just a data collecting exercise. I’m now left with a credit check on my file but no phone. Also, they can’t tell me how long I will have to wait for my refund on my initial payment. Absolutely shocking. Deal was recommended by uswitch so I am taking up a complaint with them as well as Three.
