I just placed the order an hour ago and I'm already being asked for feedback?

I just placed the order an hour ago and you are already asking me for feedback? Here's the ordering experience.The website asked for my email to sign up and get a discount code. I got the discount code, placed an order, but the 10% discount code didn't work. I went ahead and placed the order, but a little disappointed that they collected my email/cel for their purposes without providing the promised discount.

The quality of your umbrellas are Excellent!

The quality of your umbrellas are excellent! Unfortunately when we ordered our umbrella a year ago the plain white sunbrella fabric became unavailable after we ordered it. A replacement colour was provided. I was informed that my original selection would be sent to me when it was available. A year went by with no updates. Only when I went and checked on your web site and saw that the fabric was available, did anything get actioned and sent. I wish that somebody had kept us informed!

The best part about ordering from…

The best part about ordering from Midtown Umbrellas was that I was able to do it over the phone. It was great to speak to a human, and ensure that I was ordering exactly what I needed. My order arrived very promptly, in two days, to my door with no issue. Looking forward to the warmer weather so I can use my new umbrella and base.

Ordered May 2025, received April 2026

I ordered the umbrella in May 2025. I soon received both an “order confirmed” and “order shipped” email. Then received a message saying it was not in stock and would take a few weeks. I followed up in 8 weeks and was told essentially the same thing. Both times reassured that when it was in stock, I would be informed. Umbrella was for a summer place so I did not pursue as the season would soon be over. One year later, when we were opening the cottage, I followed up again. This time I received a bizarre AI email response asking me to confirm my email and the order number, both of which were in my email. I did hear from someone a day or two later saying they were looking into it. I also filed a complaint via Shopify. By some amazing coincidence, the umbrella had just that day come back in stock. It was shipped and I received it within a few days. Given zero follow up and a one year delay, I can only give one star. That said, I have not yet opened the box so I am only reviewing service, not the product. Fingers crossed…

Ease and speed.

So far the ordering and shipment has been terrific. Ease and speed.
We haven’t set up the umbrella yet, but look forward to seeing the entire order set up on our deck. We’ll done Midtown.

Telephone quality needs to be vastly improved.

The person I spoke with was trying to be helpful. and was very personable. Unfortunately, the telephone reception on his end was terrible, and made it almost impossible to understand any of his answers to my queries. I am still making a purchase through the website, and hope that the product meets expectations.
Aside from that the process was very straightforward, and the after sales emails are easy to understand.
