Unrealistic Deadlines for Christmas Delivery

I have used Mixbooks a few times over the years and the quality of the books is always good, especially for the price point. However, this year I finished my order in the time they said I needed to in order to get it by Christmas, with expediated shipping - which I ordered. However they did not print the book until a couple of days before Christmas Eve and it did not get to shipping until the day before Christmas Eve, which made it impossible to get here. It won't arrive until the 29th. It was a main present.
I could understand if the time was too short, but the company should then give a realistic deadline date. I might (if I can't find similar quality/price point elsewhere) continue to use this service if I don't care about delivery time, it's not a gift - but I won't use it again for Christmas Gifts.

Prepare to cry! A beautiful gift!

I received my book as a gift from my wife and it’s so, so beautiful! She’s in no way tech savvy or artistic, so I am there are beautiful templates to choose from. My wife also isn’t great with taking photos and has never edited one in her life, and still, the photos quality is stunning! While I didn’t order, I can tell their system is easy to use and does a lot of the work for you. As far as the product, pages are thick, glossy, the pictures are neat, no crooked photos or bad sizing/croppingg, even borders and space between photos , it is nicely bound, like a normal coffee table picture book and the cover is a good hardness, texture and nice glossy finish. The larger photo on the cover and at the back of the book are not blurry or pixelated either. Mixbook placed a small logo at the bottom of the back cover, so I appreciated that there is no ad page or a logo on every page. I can’t say enough good things! I will be ordering two for Mother’s Day this coming year, and I’ll probably find more reasons! Highly recommend you order as a gift for someone you love because despite living in the digital age, nothing beats running your hands across a photo while flooded with its memory. I cannot say enough good things, thank you Mixbook!

Don’t deliver as promised

I don’t understand the hype for this company. Their customer service has been AWFUL! I spent a ton of time and money creating a very special book for a family that lost their father this year and it was “guaranteed” holiday delivery with Rush Shipping and now they are saying it won’t be here due to “printer issues” based on volume. They’ve ruined my major gift for my family and I ordered it weeks ago. I won’t ever use them again. Too many competitors out there willing to take my money in the future.

Mixbook used to be reliable. Not anymore.

Mixbook used to be reliable. I order family calendars every year. I placed my order in plenty of time to receive them before Christmas. It is Christmas Eve and they haven’t even shipped yet! I chatted with CS online about it and they did offer a small credit but I don’t even want to use that because I don’t ever want to order from them again. What is really frustrating is that I get daily emails from them saying “order now for expedited shipping!”. What a joke.

2026 calendar quality

I have been ordering calendars at Mixbook the last few years now. I switched from Shutterfly because I liked the design options and the quality.

This year I was a bit disappointed in things I experienced.

Customer service for one didn't seem to be very helpful with making some changes I couldn't figure out. They did not appear familiar with their own editing tools. They eventually did after I remained persistent that they could make the changes as I have had it done in the past.

Shipping was a week later than they estimated which has thrown me in a panic to get everything shipped late for the holidays. To be fair, I did order these a few days later than expected and these photos were from a trip that ended at the end of November so timing wasn't great on my end either.

What I was most disappointed about was the quality of the calendars themselves. The paper quality clearly changed and how vivid the colors are. Maybe I skipped checking a box for a certain finish but definitely there is a noticeable difference between this year's calendar and last years.

Don't Stand behind what they sell

This was my third hardcover book I have made with Mixbook. I loved my first 2 books and was devasted to just recently receive my third book. The printer must have been having a bad day. All the Margins were not aliened which resulted in all my pictures being in the margins of the book. Customer service offered 50% off for me to reprint however this was the same priced I paid in the first place. They say satisfaction guaranteed this absolutely not true. I worked for days on this 58 page book and am so upset. I would not recommend this company they do not stand behind their guarantee. I was hoping to make 3 more books next year.....looks like I will be looking elsewhere.

Missed Christmas Delivery & Poor Resolution

I’ve always loved Mixbook products, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
My order was guaranteed to arrive before Christmas, but out of five items, I received only one. I also didn’t receive any updates or communication about the missing items. After reaching out days later to ask for an update, the only option offered was a reprint with delivery after Christmas—unfortunately pointless, as the items were intended to be Christmas gifts.
I understand that orders can get lost or delayed, especially during busy seasons. However, in situations like this, I believe a proper solution or some form of compensation should be offered to maintain customer satisfaction. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here.

I ordered a photobook for a Christmas…

I ordered a photobook for a Christmas gift. Spent at least 10 hours on it, 450 photos, 80 pages, almost $300 with a coupon code and paid for express shipping to arrive before Christmas.
Well it arrived before Christmas and they messed up the print job. In the preview of the book and the editing software the photos were perfectly centered with white margins around the edges. The actual book has photos cut off at the bottom, completely off center.
Customer service was fine but did the bare minimum of reordering the book. Would not offer anything else to make up for it and of course it is arriving well after Christmas.
Extremely disappointed. Clearly their quality control is lacking. I read a lot of reviews before choosing Mixbook since there are so many different companies doing the same thing. Consensus was they have the best editing program, which may be true but it doesn't matter if they can't print the book as it was edited to look.

Pick anyone else

I received a invite to order a book a relative made. The link worked just once but never again. They SPAMed my inbox repeatedly, several times a day. I replied back to their SPAM what I thought about them which they forwarded without conext to my relative. Their chat feature rendered too small to see what they were texting. When I got a new link for the book and attempted to check out it said I had to fix issues regarding a blank page on a book I can't edit. After getting thst cleared I attempt again check out with Google Pay, it acts like it runs it but nothing happens. They're either evil or incompetent beyond belief.

Run away... do not order from them

Great site however shipping is horrible. I confirmed that I would get my order by Dec 17th. I ordered it on Dec. 7. I was assured after chatting with them it would be here on time. Then was told it was running late but would still get here in plenty of time. Missed giving one gift due to an early celebration. Now items aren't arriving until DEC 24th.... meanwhile as of LAST NIGHT (21st) they were adverting they could still get your order to you by Christmas. Some people travel and won't be there to get the mail the day before Christmas. NEVER will I order from them again.

Mixed rating. I’ve had good results w them in the past three years in producing our family’s annual photo calendar. This year, the delivery date (12.19) has come and gone, two of my three orders are still in print mode, and emails and chat inquiries have resulted in zero responses. Very disappointing, frustrating, and unprofessional.

Awful

Awful. Delivery date came and went, online chats gave 0 answers as to when my book would be shipped, in fact they were so vague and unhelpful there was no point in even asking for assistance. I finally asked for a refund, they said it takes 7 days. Lets see if that happens

Outstanding Customer Service

The quality of the delivered book was outstanding. However, what really took it over the top was the company's customer service. Shortly after my book was shipped, Canada Post entered a postal strike with an indefinite end. Mixbook apparently monitored the situation, and after a few days, I received a message that they had decided to reprint my book and ship it again, using a different carrier. It arrived a few days later and made a big difference. There was no charge for the reprint. This was completely unexpected, but truly appreciated. One of the best examples of good customer care I could think of.

Fraudulent Promises about delivery

I placed an order on December 12 th and paid an Expedited shipping fee of over $ 150.00
the order no was Mixbook order 7545023 . I chatted with them using the chat feature and was continually told order on time. Just now I was told tghey will let me know on Dec 23 if and when it ships. Order total before discount was over$1700.00 Today Dec 18 they are promising deliveries by christmas if ordered today this is a TOTAL FRAUD watch out

Second Year in a row Missed Delivery Deadline

For over 15 years, I used Costco Photos to create a calendar for my mother as a Christmas present. When they discontinued their service, I picked Mixbook due to their positive reviews. Although the creation process is better on Mixbook, their delivery is horrible. Two years in a row they have missed their deadline (I ordered the first week in December both years). They can't ship overnight and again this year, I risk not having a present for my mother. They offered me 10% off which is a whopping $2. Gave them a second chance but not giving them a third.
