The best car hire experience I have…
The best car hire experience I have ever had in Spain. We received messages as soon as we landed with where to meet the bus. The shuttle bus and hire car were brand new as were the offices. The staff were very professional and thorough, photographing the car under a spotlight and discussing any minor dinks. Before we’d even left the offices, all the photos had been emailed to me along with copies of the contract. On returning the car we had the same excellent service, they showed me on the computer as they cancelled the excess holding amount that was against my credit card, and once again photos of the car on return were emailed to me. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Just wish they had offices in Malaga which is where we usually fly to.

Friendly staff
Pick up from airport went smoothly and friendly staff in the office.
Car was nearly new and in very good condition. Checked over very thoroughly on return but no problem there.
All in all a good experience and will use them again.

Charged €363 for one tiny stone chip!
Picked up my car for a 16 day hire. The service was flawless and the staff could not have been nicer. The lady was in no way pushing selling me any extras after I explained that I had my own insurance. Went round the car together and both took many photos. The car was perfect except from one very small stone chip on the underside of the door, which we both agreed was there before taking the car away.
Upon return of the car again the service was very good. Unfortunately there was an extremely small stone chip on the bottom of one of the rear doors. This chip was lucky if it was 1mm in diameter and looked more like a spec of dirt. For this I was charged a staggering €363. While I am not trying in any way to dispute that the chip was not there when I picked the car up I find it astounding that this would be the amount charged for such a tiny mark (especially as the car already had a chip on the other door before pick up, which presumably someone else had also paid for and had not been repaired). I wish that this platform would allow me to post a picture of how small the chip actually was to illustrate how disproportionate this price would be for repair. Apparently they need to repaint the whole door for one tiny stone chip. It is unrealistic in such a hot dry country to expect a tiny blemish like this to not be considered wear and tear.
It is unfortunate that this was the case because if it had not been for this price I would be giving Moovers a five star rating and recommending them to people. I am only glad that it was one tiny chip and not more. I potentially could have had to pay out thousands of euros for what would have been considered wear and tear with most other company’s.

We really see the constructive part of your criticism and it is very good for us so that clients can read it and draw their own conclusions. We completely understand the inconvenience that it can be to have to face the cost of damage to the vehicle and we also regret that we cannot include the photo of the damage on this platform, since it is very obvious (right front door). Let's go in parts: *The explanation why we do not repair small damages to the vehicles before the next rental is because if we did so much of the time our fleet would be stopped, damages that do not impede circulation are repaired in periods of low reserve volume.
*As for the cost of €300 +VAT, it is more than argued and the entire context of your rental should be added to the review: You rented a brand new Mercedes GLA with pearlescent white paint (tri coat) with the basic rate and without coverage of damages, you returned the vehicle with damage to the door and we charged the indicated amount taking into account the following breakdown: Repair and painting (tri coat) in the original Mercedes workshop, this is the price paid for this repair.
*About the thousands of € that you indicate that you would have had to pay if you had incurred more damages: Of course yes, without a doubt you would have to face the cost of the same according to our damage tables.
The solution to all this was to hire complete coverage.
At Moovers we do not force the sale of insurance, but we do indicate very clearly that any damage seen on the vehicle at the time of return will be charged. We review the vehicle in detail with the client upon departure, including photos taken together with the client to be very transparent and clear in this aspect. We also did it with you. We know, as in this case, that no matter how good the service we provide, if we charge something, it will be cause of displeasure on the part of the customer and will surely give us a 1-star review. You can have your own opinion as to whether the damage has been caused by a stone from the road, etc., etc. etc. but as we explained upon delivery of the vehicle, regardless of how the damage occurs, if you do not choose complete coverage, it is your responsibility. We accept and respect this one-star review, but we take the liberty of questioning what you say and we are sure that any other rental company would have charged you for this damage. If you return to Alicante, we offer to carry out the test with you with the basic rate in the company of your choice, renting a vehicle with the same characteristics as the Mercedes GLA. You can contact us and we will coordinate to do so.

Excellent sevice on pickup and return of car. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Explained everything, and didn't try to persuade to buy extras on pick up. Proper inspection together of car at pick up and return with photos of even smallest mark.Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone.

Excellent service and vehicle
We have recently had a 10 day rental with this company and the overall experience was fantastic. We were picked up from the airport terminal within minutes of the phone call in a clean, new very tidy minibus and taken to their depot. Here photos were taken of the rental car and provided to us as a report on email. We had previously filled in info online which made the handover a matter of 5 minutes. We had been upgraded from a small car to a new Toyota Hybrid Cross with only 1500 miles on the clock. The car was spotless and with no damage as would be expected of a new car. Returning the car was almost an exact copy of picking it up. Photos were again taken and compared so as their was no ambiguity, Once happy we were returned in the same minibus to the airport. All the staff were very friendly and spoke excellent english, making the experience very comfortable. We would certainly recommend this company to anyone thinking of renting a car and have indeed rented another vehicle from this same company this evening for a visit next week

Nice clean car good service
Nice clean car, great service, very honest company, Will def rent from moovers again only minus is that the car is not at the airport but a shuttle bus picks you up. So if you have to Take a morning flight you cannot return the vehicle in the middle of the night for example.

If you need to return the car in the middle of the night to catch an early flight, simply coordinate with us and we will get you to the airport without any problems, although there is a small cost associated.

Slow service and poor quality cars
The meeting point to be taken to the off site car rental company was ok and reasonably quick turnaround.
However, even though I got to the rental car depot first, I seemed to slip to third to be sorted. The first car hire was a disgruntled hirer who wanted their money back as they felt the extras were too expensive. The second one seemed to just jump the queue and took a long while to decide what car they wanted?
They then sorted me out with a rather bashed up Peugeot 208 which had loads of scratches, dents scuffed plastic alloy wheel covers. So much so that the lady checking the car out had to take 51 photos for proof of defects. It was also dark in the parking lot at 11:30pm and the car was wet so I was reluctant with the choice. They then wanted me to pay an additional €75+ euros for insurance which eventually they let me decline as I had already paid extra insurance charges through discovercars.com for an all inclusive insurance package.

Fantastic prompt service
Fantastic prompt service. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the office. Within 10 minutes we were driving out in a brand new car.
The guys at the office were very polite and friendly. Explained everything and had us away in no time.
They took photos of the car and sent them to us before we left so there can be no discrepancy with damage on return.
On the way back we dropped the car off, it was checked over and we were then taken to the terminal.
Totally seamless service and will definitely be using again.

This was our first time hiring from Moovers. The service by the staff was faultless. They were friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Easy collection and return. No hard sell and no problems. Special mention for Lucas who inspected the car on return. He was friendly and professional and didn’t drive like a manic returning us to the airport.
