Really pleased with every aspect
Really easy to place an order. Found some great bargains. Chose DPD delivery at extra charge as the extra was only £1.99 so well worth it. Some of the items were past best before which is clearly marked on the site but still absolutely fine. Could tell no difference to in date of same items. Also got to try some things we’ve never seen on the supermarket shelves and at the prices were worth taking a chance on.
Kept informed at each stage of our order and everything was well packed and no damage and there were glass jars in the package.
Will definitely be using again.

My parcel arrived within few days
My parcel arrived within few days, which I was pleased about, but on arrival the courier said it was damaged, it looked wet, it appeared that some of the bottles might have been broken, he took the parcel back,& I haven't heard anything since.

Not going to order again
The first order from Motatos arrived with a couple of breakages as very poorly packed - no bubble wrap around glass jars. Also they use a parcelforce which does not inform you when they are going to deliver.
The second order was accepted but five days later I was informed 8 of the items were out of stock -they just happened to be the biggest discounted products. I was not given the option to cancel the whole order - all the other stuff I ordered was simply to make up the amount.
I will not be ordering from this company again.
All similar companies do not have any problems in having an accurate amount of stock available on website so that you do not order what is not available.

The Whole Edible Part Of My Order Was Out Of Date!!
Items sent were out of date, or have 2 days of shelve life left in them. I ordered in June and I received Heinz Salad Cream which went out of date in May.. like come on. Why advertise great prices, knowing people are facing a Cost of Living Crisis. It’s deceiving as you think you’re getting amazing deals.
No thank you - I’ll stick to Home Bargains.. that way I know they have decent shelf life.
£50.00 down the drain with this company. Don’t trust them!

This is actually a huge part of what we do here at Motatos. Around the world, lots of perfectly good food is wasted unnecessarily.
To combat this, we sometimes sell goods with passed best-before dates. 📅
The best-before date indicates when the product should be consumed by, in order for it to taste its best however the food will still be safe to eat after this date 😊 The best before is an indication of when the manufacturer believes the food will be at its best.
Because of this, the producers, unfortunately, throw away a lot of foods past their best-before date,
but that’s where we step in and tackle this problem. 🚀
Just a little more info, you can check the best-before date within each product page when you click the image 🙌
Of course, if something really doesn't seem right with any of the products in terms of taste, smell or appearance, please reach out to our customer services team and we can see what we can do to resolve the matter for you. 🌱

First experience with Motatos
I placed my first order with Motatos and a couple of days later got confirmation of delivery. The items were delivered after a further two days.
The delivery firm didn't advise of a timeslot, and they happened to delver just as I was on my way out. Other than that, I had a breakage, which was promptly credited by Motatos (so full marks to them for that). I will happily become a repeat customer.

Good way to save money on groceries
I have seen this site advertised for some time but was cautious of trying. I then noticed they had in stock some of my son's favourite sparkling water drinks. I made a purchase which meant I got lots of them in for half price, plus a few other bits too. I have since made a second purchase from Motatos and will keep revisiting it to buy things I would normally get if they have them at a discount.
