Duped out of $200

I wish I had never stumbled upon this site, and had stuck with revzilla and ebay. long story short: i ordered stainless steel braided lines for my bike. i needed it quickly, so i paid a bit more than through the manufacturer. i noticed afterwards that it came with a clutch line. weird, considering the bike has a cable actuated clutch. so i tried to quickly cancel the order—to no avail, as after a maze of “we make canceling easy!” messages, they told me you could only cancel over the phone. you can change your order, no problem! but they’re not gonna let you get your money back THAT easily.
anyway, i call the manufacturer, then i call motorcycle ID—turns out they sold me a brake line set for a completely different bike. so know that even if the website tells you that your bike fits, it could be totally wrong.
so i wanted to cancel my order, obviously. i still needed that part by this weekend. even though they had been telling me that because of COVID, my item was unlikely to ship or arrive on time, as soon as i cancelled they told me that my item had likely shipped already (on the same phone call). so i would have to wait until my delivery came, then return it, and once they received it, i’d receive my refund in 3-5 business days.

absolutely unacceptable. they took my money in exchange for something i didn’t ask for, and are not going to give my money back until i return the stuff I NEVER ASKED TO BE SENT. i will likely lose money over this, as i am doing work on someone else’s motorcycle. i will be telling anyone who will listen about this, and copy pasting this review everywhere i possibly can.

thanks for tricking me out of $200, motorcycleID!!!

I ordered the wrong part from these…

I ordered the wrong part from these people, and my attempt to return it has been nothing but irritating. They put off providing the required forms and labels, and have used up 3 of the 4 weeks return window. Their standard answer is that the process will move forward within 24-48 hours, but it doesn't happen. Support consists only of delaying tactics. I believe they want to eventually claim that the product was not returned on time and that refund is not available. They seem dishonest and unethical. According to my research, I am but one of hundreds with similar complaints. STAY AWAY. DO NOT BUY.

Wrong chain shipped to me

I had ordered a chain / sprocket kit for my 2004 DR-Z 400s and received it about a week later. I installed the sprockets and when I put the chain on it was too long. I double checked my order and it stated that the chain was a 520-112 with 44/15 gears which is an exact stock replacement. I installed the sprockets and when I installed the chain I noticed it was way too long. I checked the box that the chain came in and a 520-120 was sent to me. I contacted Motorcycledi and told them the problem and would like to have the correct chain. The sales person said that they would send me a $15.00 gift card if i would cut the chain to the correct length. I told him that is not what I want, I just want the correct chain that I paid for. He put me on hold twice for about 10 minutes each to contact the manufacture. He came back and said they will send a replacement but I have to wait 2-3 business days for a return label that they will email me and when I get the label i an to take the chain to UPS and send back to them. When they receive the chain from UPS they will send me the correct chain. So now I looking at waiting about two weeks to receive the correct chain I ordered. VERY POOR BUSINESS!

Harley RGS Tri-Bar Rear Tail Light

I was looking for a Tri-Bar Rear Tail Light for my 2019 Harley RGS. Not wanting to spend $140.00 from another manufacture I seen this Letric Light (Item # mpn4668751457) on MotorcycleID web page for $89.95. I initiated a online chat with Sandra and she helped me confirm that this was compatible with my bike and was mostly a plug/play fit. She also through in a 5% discount and informed me it would be shipped for free. Excellent company to deal with and plan to look at them again for my motorcycle needs.

purchased a windshield yesterday - - RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS DUMP

purchased a windshield yesterday, paid in full and then found out after calling these losers that the windshield was not available so they "issued" a credit although i have not seen it yet as it was just yesterday.

went back on their site to order a different windshield, called to ensure it was in stock and would ship from Cranbury NJ to Bradley Beach NJ and was told if i ordered now it would be delivered Wednesday 3/11/2020. this morning i checked and order still on pending. called and found out from rebecca in verification that they needed to verify my address. i've lived at the address since i was born. why verification is needed? why didnt you call or email me yesterday? what type of address verification takes more than 5 minutes. i'm not ordering bomb making chemicals....its a freaking windshield. nicole in customer service sounded like she was talking to me and sleeping at the same time. avoid this place like the plague as the owners will NOT get on a call so they can hear how messed up their place is. if they dont care, neither do i....bye bye as there id dennis kirk, j&p cycles, etc.

This is my second bike cover

This is my second bike cover. The first from another company, which was suppose to fit the make and model of my vintage bike but it was too short and did not fit correctly. I contacted the company and they said that is the cover that fits your bike, and I was stuck with the cover even though satisfaction was guaranteed. I ordered my second cover from here and it fit great and was of quality material which was a relief after my previous dilemma. Shipping was fast and now my bike is protected

5 month wait for the wrong item

5 month wait for the wrong item
After waiting 5 months for my backordered item I received the item and it was the wrong item. I ordered the correct item, they shipped the wrong one and don't carry the correct item. So I asked to return the item and just recieved notice that there is a delay in the return paperwork. Waiting on their awful customer service. To make matters worse - I ordered the correct part from the supplier who MotorcycleID is buying from AFTER I started the return and have already received the correct unit. Yes - they shipped the item before these folks can even get me an RMA number. First and last time using these folks.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Poor effort on company part for sending wrong size, wrong item, then making no effort to receive return. I sent company picture of item received, not what was ordered and still unable to exchange 80.00 helmet.
