Booked recently using a text offer

Booked recently using a text offer. Was sent a very reasonable quote for a bank holiday weekend and called to book to then be told that the weekend was not on offer. I then went back to the online quote and booked the motor home through that successfully for the original quote price. I’ve also booked to upgrade to the bronze package for £100 which gives me piece of mind and also makes the booking very reasonable. I found the call centre staff very helpful and the quote was instant. Not been yet but so far I am happy with the booking system.

Do not use this company

Booked a hire with them. Price quoted £99. By the time extras had been added it came to nearly £300. Canceled immediately, within their 24 hour period. Agreed to cancel but the refund takes 28 working days - that's nearly six weeks.

Honest review used 3 times

To be honest I think you get what you pay for! But the problem is they do not make you aware of all the extras until it’s too late! I’ve used them three times and always paid the extra waver per day, u have too that reduces the excess from 1,000 I think it is too £250 and I did get some for this in the summer they did say there was a tiny crack in the window when I brought it back (Which wasn’t me and the tv didn’t work which I continually phoned them to tell them about while It was on hire)and the bikes left a 2cm rub on the back, it was a brand new van and I lost and if I’d not paid the waver I would of lost £1000 or £1500 not sure which it was as I didn’t need to know that! Knowing what I know I would still hire with them again just don’t pay for the extra as they are often in the van anyway thanks

This is a scam and should have noticed…

This is a scam and should have noticed when booking. They also change website domain which is a sign. Y9u will NOT receive your deposit, I am out £1500 and continue to try but I now know it is a scam company. The vans are also rubbish, ours leaked and tv not working. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Absolutely disgusting..
Dont be fooled by their website, upgraded to Bronze package, paid the deposit of £1265 (lucky for us we used our credit card). we had to return the campervan after 4 days (we hired for 12 days) as it was awful, things missing, uncomfortable beds, things not working, we waited 28 working days for our deposit to be refunded and no refund, contacted them on live chat (only way to contact) only to be told to follow link and then it would be put on in 3-5 working days, waited for 5th working day and guess what NO REFUND, so back onto live chat then just got fobbed off with more links and e mail address. Quite obvious they had no intentions of returning my £1265 deposit. i called my credit card company and they got my refund back for me. reading reviews on this company makes me feel sick, how can they get away with this? i see a lot of people have reported them to Watchdog and Cambridge Trading Standards. This is what i intend on doing. I was lucky and used my credit card (although i am still a £1000 out of pocket for hire of campervan and pitch fees on the site we went to) some people have had to take this company to court to get their deposit back. If the people of this company are reading this HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND DESTROYING THEIR HARD EARNED HOLIDAYS?

Absolute joke ..AVOID if you every want a refund!,

Absolute joke ... couldn’t wait to take our money on booking (which turned out to be way more than originally offered) but trying to get your deposit back is a joke!!
Waited 28 working days to start with, now another 10 days since the refund ‘was processed’ but still haven’t received anything. Everything is done via live chat, you can’t speak to anybody. You book calls for specific times which they don’t carry out, then when they do phone & you don’t get to the phone quick enough you have to book ANOTHER call & wait another 10 days.

So much for an easy pleasant transaction.

Would not recommend motorhome hire uk to anyone

Would not recommend these to anyone, when you book you are bombarded with emails trying to get additional costs from you, but when there is an issue no response and to get your refund back its a nightmare you keep chasing but no response.
Below is extract from my email to company not good and no response other than to tell me I returned vehicle 8 minutes late and that they could charge me
We collected the vehicle 12:00 24/09/2019
We were given a good explanation of where everything was and went on our way, on first bend with pot hole, grill door opened and grill pan fell out, also, crockery cupboard door opened and 2 bowls fell out and broke
Our first night identified the following issues.
No frying pan - expected this as part of kitchen pack
Cutlery drawers not clean
Shower waste outlets both blocked with hair and other materials in bend
1 plug broken with stalk left in plug hole, when cleaning used foot to push water through and trod on metal piece sticking up from drain
Whilst inconvenient not the end of world and could be discussed on return
Our second night was more of an issue
After using toilet the water pump continued, this was not noticed until we returned to motorhome to find blue toilet water on floor of van and shower full of same - waste from toilet tank!!!!!!!
We spent the next 2/3 hours cleaning everywhere drying up waste with wipes paper towels, tea towels, mopping floors and disinfecting all surfaces disinfectant wipes - Luckily there was a shop in area that sold these items.
To reduce pressure in toilet wast tank prior to removing and emptying, we had pull out top waste pipe (Orange for disposal) and undo cap, pressure of water above discharged and sprayed over me resulting in throwing away trousers and shoes
Once we had cleaned up the above and ourselves, we contacted the emergency help line and followed link to chat line (Difficult in isolated Cornwall with little or not 3g/4g coverage), which was unhelpful and referred me to call someone the following day,
I tried again the following day several times and got nowhere, I requested that someone called me, this did not happen as it is a chat line only, however they did recommend we disconnected toilet flush, it was the second time this was suggested and much later that I realised what was being suggested.
Issues with waste and cleaning up was traumatic and not conducive with the planned relaxing break, made worse by a chat line that basically said tough sort it yourself!, lack of voice contact even when issues raised no one had courtesy to call me to discuss and even now 2 days after we handed vehicle back we have had no contact from you.
We handed vehicle back at 11:00 1/09/2019, we like to think that return was far cleaner than when we got it, we explained issues and other items such as, other peoples towels not being removed before we took hire, smoking by others in vehicle whilst he was helpful obviously he had no authority and recommended we contact the office direct

I wish there was a 0 star rating!!’

I wish there was a 0 star rating. Please dont go near these charlatans. If booking you need to know you get nothing included and if you dont know this beforehand you will br too late to cancel as you only have 24 hours for a refund and dont get the ingo you need till after the 24 hours period. READ these reviews carefully. Their live chat is the most unfriendly i have used too date. Remember there is always a reason for something looking a cheap offer - and never in uour favour!!!!’

Joke of a company - even had the audacity to say 'we are a commercial business' when they poured untold hidden charges on me. Do yourself a favour and find a reptubale hire company - This lot give cowboys a bad name!!

I wish I had read the reviews before.

Started off with an online enquiry about hiring a van as we had sold ours sooner than expected. Within minutes we were receiving text messages with offers and then came the phone call, that the weekend we needed had just come up as a cancellation and was half the price we were quoted.
We paid in full over the phone the hire charge. Then came the online forms that needed to be completed before the hire could start, and then came all the hidden extra charges. A charge for TV licence, for parking your car at the depot, any medical problems that are already covered by your insurance, and the beauty of either £1600 deposit or if you paid an excess waiver of 150 you only had £250 held on your credit card...... What they don't tell you is that they actually take the money and not hold it!!!! I returned the van cleaner than when I collected it, the window was broken, the seats were filthy and the fridge smelled very unpleasant. They then had the cheek to say we returned it late, when we were sat outside waiting for it to open. It has taken 3 MONTHS of constant emails and silly live chats to get my money back... The people you speak to on the live chat are rude and un helpful. TERRIBLE AFTER SERVICE

I have only enquired so far the prices at first glance seem very reasonable . But the big deposit and added extras are putting me off . Also the reviews dont seem great so seems alot to pay out for what seems not the best service

STAY WELL AWAY

Still waiting for my 2500 deposit, they have left me with no choice but to contact my bank to try and chase the money up as I’ve been waiting for 2 months, the camper I used was faulty and they didn’t want to know. Terrible company

Very disappointed with this company.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star - Very disappointed with this company and the whole experience. We were taking the dogs to visit my daughter at university and thought it would be a great opportunity to try out a camper van. Complete disaster and will never do it again. The original hire price isn’t too bad, but be prepared for all the extras plus deposits, which make it very expensive. Didn’t use half the facilities because all we heard was ‘there will be a charge’, locks e were dodgy and broke, just wish I could have cancelled it, but even to do that you have to do within 24 hours of booking. I don’t leave reviews like this without reason, so be warned, this company is all about the money!

Took 3 months to receive my £250 deposit back! The motorhome were returned on time, did the cleaning at the depot, the guy checked every thing and were happy with it and got me to signed it around 11.30am. One week later I received an email saying there few damages(£145) and was dirty(£75) and toilet cassett were still full(£45)!!??

I asked for evident and I can see they had changed the check-list and falsified my signature around 12.30pm. With the help of PC's magnifier the pre-photos clearly shows the damage were already there!

It is all a con!!

And lack of urgency to refund the deposit back. You can only go through by live chat, every time you are told someone will contact you in 5-7 days and no one does which is why months go by without any movement. This is a scam to be able to keep hold of your money. I would recommend anyone else speak to their bank/credit card as they can raise an issue against your original transaction and help to refund you the money.

This scam has marred our holiday break!!

Oh I wish I looked on trust pilot…

Oh I wish I looked on trust pilot before I booked
Every thing an extra start of good deal but by the end it’s very expensive
Van is ok but forget any back up there is a back up service to contact and they will get back to you
Never did in the week we had the van
Now I am trying to get my deposit back of £2500 ponds paid on credit card
Card is now due but no sign of refund
If I pay card minimum I am charged interest
If I pay in full there refund to card
And I do not get cash back
Ask them what day I will get money back and it’s like asking about quantum physics
They will not give an answer
Now I looked in Trustpilot and see every one in same boat
Do not use them
It’s all a con

Just like all the other reviews on here…

Just like all the other reviews on here , advertised cheaply but then the extras come and soon add up. They are more essentials than extras to be honest. So the hire cost is vastly greater than the advertised cost. Then the deposit!! This usualy comes in at around £1250 but they dont take a swipe of your credit card and ring fence the funds (like other hire companies do) they take the actual money. Then , assuming you are entitled to a full refund (clean undamaged van) they will keep the refund for at least 28 working days (presumably to make interest on it). When you are eligable for it there is more application forms to fill in and they are still obstructive.I am still to receive my deposit of over £1000 more than 2 months after the hire took place. The customer service is poor bordering on rude. I really would look for another hire company and ignore their cheap advertised prices espescially if youre not in a financial position to give a company a intrest free loan of your own cash for two months.
