Scam company do not use! Google rip-off Britain motorhome scam. 2 months after returning our motorhome in exactly the condition that we got it in, we’re still waiting for our £1250 deposit back. No customer service, fobbed-off online and via email. No telephone communication. Why this company is still allowed to operate it beyond me. Next stop small claims court, nightmare.

Please don’t use this company...they are all about getting the money of you as soon as possible and then will deliberately slow the process down I’m going to get the money back to you I deposits etc. I think that is why they have a separate phone line for bookings and then when if you want to get any returns or deal with them you can only have a live web chat because they know their level of customer service is so poor . They withhold deposit monies and lie that they have paid them. There are countless hidden charges with which they extort money from you and their vehicles are average at best. Should not be allowed to trade, stay well clear.
Motorhome deposit scam
Unbelievably bad customer service and complete scam in the way that they hold your deposit for months after. As soon as you have confirmed hire you are bombarded with texts regarding additional payments required and by the time you get them it’s too late to cancel. All charges are incremental and so it is easy to say yes to start with and then realise how it is racking up. It is not reasonably priced albeit the quality of the vans is good. Luckily I paid extra for insurance (which was extortionate) because at least then I only had to chase a return of £250 which I have battled months for. Not that there was a dispute over it, just their lack or urgency to pay it. You can only go through by live chat, every time you are told someone will contact you in 5-7 days and no one does which is why months go by without any movement. This is a scam to be able to keep hold of your money. I have finally received mine back and recommend that anyone else speak to their bank/credit card as they can raise an issue against your original transaction and help to refund you the money. This should have been a wonderful staycation instead you get ripped off in your own country and speNd months sorting it out.

This is the worst company we have ever used.
They lure you in with a cheap price and then bombard you with emails and charge you more and more prior to your booking.
When you’re considering using this company you can never get them off the phone. As soon as you’ve paid a deposit, you can never speak to anybody it’s just web chats and emails.
We had a fridge and toilet that never worked all week and when we text the help text number from the sticker in the window - nobody responded.
We went through the dartford tunnel and tried to pay the charge but were told we couldn’t because it’s on an account. It is - theirs - they deduct it from your deposit but add on an extra £10 admin fee for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
They have said that we went over the 70 mile speed limit but have not proved this and we’ve not had a ticket and yet they’ve deducted £75 from our deposit.
They’ve deducted so much from our deposit they now only owe us £2.49!!
This company is a complete rip off and you should NEVER EVER EVER use them.
They are scumbags and their only motivation is to rip people off which they do.

I have only given this company 1 star because I had to. I have been constantly battling to get my £1220 deposit retuned, they will be making a nice amount of interest by the sound of other people’s experience in none refunded deposits, emails un answered phone stating due to high number of calls use the web chat, basically avoiding communication. I have looked at a number of posts online, and it would seem I am not the only one. Beware it has been a nightmare for the past 3 months. Constantly trying to get an answer but being completely ignored eventually got a call back from a man who refunded me immediately 2 working days, by his tone he was used to this. This was after the 3 months!
I WOULD PERSONALLY AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND RECOMMEND EVERYONE ELSE DO THE SAME.. Have a look on line and do a bit of research, there are various company names all end up back here.. One of the worse experiences of our lives.. We had planned to use them again due to the quality of the motorhome but when they played this trick. Never again!!

They lure you in with their cheap special deals but you get a motorhome and nothing else. Every single thing is an extra cost. For example a ktichen pack so you can cook, bedding (£69!), the electric hookup cable £9, even the chocks to drive it onto to make it level they charge for! They even charge you for someone to show you round it and how everything works for £35! If you don't, you have to work it out for yourself.
That's just the start of your problems though. Read all the Google reviews, they're all the same, you will struggle to get your deposit back
They give you a 'Post hire statement' which is a summary of your charges after you've dropped the van off. They've tried to charge me for a TV license (which incidentally is one of the 'extra's you can opt for) for the TV which didn't work, they tried to charge me £37 for not returning it with enough fuel even though there was more in it than when we took it.
They suggested it had 75 litres in it when I took it and I returned it with 35. It was quarter full when I took it and just over quarter full when I returned it. They have basically lied and I'd love to know how they work out exactly how many litres of fuel is currently in the tank. I only did 36 miles in it, so even if I didn't put any fuel in it, I wouldn't have come close to using the amount they suggested I had 'freeloaded'!
If you don't pre-book your parking, they charge you £10 per day rather than £6. And finally they're trying to charge me £100 for a late return fee. Apparently according to their tracker, it was returned at 11:15 (15 minutes late!!!!!!!) which I'm disputing but the only reason I was slightly late was the lane where their yard is was blocked and I was stuck stationary for 20 minutes because a farmer was loading cows into a trailer!
The lady at the depot where I picked it up was lovely, I apologised for being slightly late (although I didn't think it was late enough to warrant mentioning) and she said "it's no problem" and when she looked round the vehicle to make sure it had been left in a suitable condition, she said "I wish more people were like you". So bearing in mind you can't collect your vehicle until 3pm on the day of hire but have to drop it off by 11am on the return date and you have to clean it to a condition you would want to take it in, I struggle to understand why it would matter that I'm 15 minutes late.
I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this company. They are shafters and I'm pursuing legal action and going to the press about them.

First time ever we hired a motor home as we are going to buy one. Myself wife and two kids 3 & 8.
How it all begun - I kept getting these text saying £49 special deals etc etc - I never believe in things like this so called them up and said what’s the deal - due to weekend charge XS insurance charge etc etc paid £640 with £250 deposit to come back to me.
Lovely motor home however no handover instructions - no “this is how you use “ - shower/ clean cassette toilet/ fridge works/ electric hook up/ central heating/ digital display pack.
Absolute joke spent most of our precious family time on google!!!!! Before leaving yard I took pictures of inside and out of motor home “just in case” long story short they are trying to charge me for toilet cassette no empties fridge not emptied water not emptied etc - motor hone was emptied of all cassettes clean really clean and they rip you off by lying.
Emails sent to after hire chasing my deposit but after 8 weeks nothing. We’re currently taking to small claims court.

Formal request for refund for cancellation of my existing booking. Having spoken to a member of your staff on the chat line earlier today I no longer wish to use your services in view of your policy regarding the need to pay the following.....
"You are required to pay the £250 non-insurable damages deposit and £1,000 insurance excess deposit now"
I detail the documented chat line conversation at the end of this e-mail. Your employee misadvised me regarding my cancellation rights stating that I was not entitled to any refund. This is totally wrong - I refer you to your own Terms and Conditions below:
You will receive a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. If you cancel after the first 24 hours, you will be charged a cancellation fee. With the exception of any refundable security deposit payments, the cancellation fee will be 3 nights of the overall rental rate including any additional extras. If the booking is less than 3 nights, or within 6 weeks of the hire collection date, the cancellation fee will be the full rental amount including extras. Cancellations must be made in writing to credit at hirebookingcentre.com. All refunds are processed 28 working days after any refund is confirmed by the credit department.
I therefore calculate that having paid you a total sum of £213 for a 7 night hire then allowing for the sum of 3 nights of the overall rental rate including additional extras ( 3/7 x £213 = £91.28 ) I calculate I am entitled to a refund of £121.72 in accord with your own Terms and Conditions.
I have not and will not cancel the booking on your onerous booking form system as if I click on the link you commit me to a no refund position totally in conflict with your own T and C's. I have requested a call back and will get documented evidence of the conversation for my records. I appreciate your terms are 28 working days and I will keep a careful eye on this timescale. I have read numerous horrific stories of your dealings with other customers on Trustpilot and have no desire to get enmeshed with any further dealings with your company.
I feel the cost incurred of £91.28 is preferable to running the gauntlet and suffering the same fate as your dissatisfied customers on Trustpilot. God help them and I cannot understand for the life of me why you act as a company the way you do.

Absolutely disgusted with this company. When we made the booking they were all happy and helpful and as soon as they had our money it went from bad to worse. Between booking and our holiday, I got an email every other day wanting more and more money. We paid £250 deposit which they said we would have back in 28 days... 8 WEEKS later we are still waiting. Oh and they’ve took a £20 admin charge!! Never mentioned this at all! Contacted them a million times and no further forward. It’s now turned into a full time job to get the money back. Can’t believe they’re still in business.

AVOID at all costs please. I will be taking this up with trading standards and/or watchdog.
