DISHONEST COMPANY
DISHONEST COMPANY. DO NOT USE. I have been trying to get my £250 deposit back for months. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They fob you off, blame the banks and won't talk to you. Its online chat all the way. I am looking into debt recovery proceedings to get my money back. I wish I had never used them.

Booking 73362 - AVOID THESE CON ARTISTS LIKE THE PLAGUE
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Pay a little more & go elsewhere.
These con-artists caused so much anger and frustration, added to HOURS of trying to resolve issues because they genuinely do not care. I have been a company customer services director for 3 companies and simply cannot understand their blind arrogance and inept approach toward "customers".
They get 1 star because you cannot give 0. The constant add-ons, inability to communicate with them after booking by anything but "chat: where they keep you holding for ages (3 times it timed out), withholding deposit for over 2 months then blaming on card company, then trying to add admin fees. Vehicles are in terrible condition.
There OWN staff at Glasgow stated "we never get anyone back as company only want to rip customers off for maximum profit & don't care if they never return" (this is recorded for proof). The list off issues is endless.
I cannot begin to stress that this company should be avoided at all costs. You WILL REGRET calling them...!!!
For their reference, I have included my booking reference so they know this is a genuine review.
You have been warned.
Just checked this company out and decided that any worthy would not copy and paste the same reply to messages without reading them first. Clearly they cant be trusted and are only interested in one thing, grabbing your money. Hopefully this will catch up with them and they will go out of business.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company. They are a scam company. Do not use them. Read the reviews. You have been warned! Appalling

SHARKS
I would give minus a billion stars if i could.Hired a van. Everything is great to start with until they ask you for a £1250 deposit. 2 months later and i am still waiting for my deposit. And they are trying to take a £100 late surcharge when it was bang on time! We even took a picture of the time we returned it! Called spoke to a lovely lady. However nothing can be done, i need to wait for a reply by email!! There is no manager or other person to speak with! Apparently she Skype talks someone! wow what a sham of a company. Worse experience ever.
How it this even allowed this day and age!!!

Scam company operating under 9 different names!
This company is run by the exact same people as Motorholme...
See my experience with them below! Listen to the bad reviews please!!
Please do not be fooled by any of these positive reviews... Yes their prices are cheap and quotes are reasonable, yes their motorhomes are lovely BUT!!! This company are simply out to scam as much money out of you as possible.
On my hire my power lead was faulty and did not work, after hours worth of live chat and emails i was told i would be given £50 as a goodwill offer for my troubles... HA! if only it was that simple.
The refundable deposit of £1250 was not ring fenced on my credit card but rather taken as a payment on my card meaning you will pay interest on the amount fr the duration of your trip PLUS the 28 WORKING days you have to wait for them to process the refund.
So as if that was bad enough, after 2 months of interest charges to my credit card i finally get the email to say i can process my refund...
Oh no they are deducting £68 as a scratch fee for a scratch that did not exist! I even had signed and dated paperwork to prove their were no post hire damages!
The only way i was able to get my full refund of £1250 plus have the completely made up 'scratch fee' taken off my account was to drive the 1 hour and 30 mins to their head office and speak to someone face to face. When you look into this company you find that the operate under 9 different company names, most of which have been named another companies name in its past. By far the worst company and least transparent i have ever hired from. No phone line to talk to anyone other than live chat and email... emails being sent from different company names to which you hired from and they have next to no social media presence... SCAM!
After speaking to a rather stroppy woman at 'head office' i was reassured that "only 10% of our reviews are bad"... i disagree and if you as an employee can admit to a 1 in 10 chance of customers having a terrible service im not sure this says much for them as a company!

Believe the reviews
Believe the reviews. They are true! Motorhome was lovely and we had a lovely trip. Returned it spotless, although we lost a wheeltrim. Filled in the refund form etc....waited...waited...filled it in again....waited. contacted them via live chat, was assured it was on it's way. Waited. Contacted them again via live chat.. told it was def on it's way...emailed, no reply, emailed again, no reply. Foned and no option to speak to anyone, leave a message and they will get back to you. I left several, no replies. I waited OVER 3 months for my refund! I threatened legal action, police, financial ombudsman, who I contacted and was in the middle of dealing with when they eventually refunded. They advised they were charging £19.99 for a wheeltrim and £16 for diesel, even though we had filled up. For the sake of getting the refund I agreed. They then proceeded to take £68 from my card. On top of the interest my credit card provider charged this is an absolute joke!! I have never in all my time hiring cars etc had a deposit actually took from the card. It's always on hold. This is clearly some kind of dodgy business and I cannot stress enough to avoid these crooks at all costs. So stressful and I will NEVER book with them again!! Horrendous experience

Thanks again to Mel and Mel at Durham depot
This is the third time I have hired a motorhome from Durham and as usual the service was excellent. This time we hired a small Chausson 514 which was a 2019 vehicle and really nice. Collection and the explanation was quick and efficient and we had no problems with the vehicle. My only suggestion for improvement is that for first time users the website could be more clear about the other charges (insurance excess waiver) and the options available for additional equipment. Overall 5 Stars - thanks to Mel and Mel at Durham.

Dodgy discount
The website gives something that looks like a discount but you have only three days Use it. It’s like getting free flights but you can only fly from Aberdeen on Xmas eve.
Useless

Website seems ok and attractive at first glance. Offers etc seem brilliant..
Just be wary of all the extras that they add on making it cheaper to drive your own car and stay in hotels.
If you provide your mobile number be prepared to receive constant marketing via text.

They don't return deposits !
Whilst the guys at the depot were great the company has a reputation for not returning refunds I had booked it and was too late to cancel having read the poor reviews. I returned the motorhome cleaner than I received it and I was due back my refund by the 4th of october and I am still waiting...I have put it through my credit card company now to try and get it back..do not use these people there are so many hidden charges in small print luckily I read everything with a fine tooth comb..The motorhome was nice but the stress of risking additional charges and now trying to get my refund has ruined my experience with THEM DO NOT USE THEM

Motorhomehire UK Review Sort out Deposit Refunds
After making the booking for eight days hire in August of this year I began to fill with dread after reading the reviews on this site. We read the complete terms and conditions several times and as I had left the booking to the last minute decided to continue with the hire of the motor-home from the Bristol depot. We received all the text messages and emails regarding additional upgrades and insurance waiver etc, but ignored all but the Silver package for unlimited mileage and had a copy of our TV licence ready for the late email requesting a copy to waive the £9.00 per day charge ( didn't use the TV all week ). As we were travelling with relatives who have their own motor-home we had all the extras anyway.
We arrived at the Bristol depot just after 3pm and were greeted by Matt who showed us to our 2017 registered (24,000 miles ) motorhome he waited for us to load our gear and then showed us around all the controls and switches inside the motor-home Matt then did a walk around the outside pointing out exiting marks and scratches which were mainly to the nearside windows. We pointed out that we had not ordered all the addition packages such as pots pans cuttlery electric hookup cables hosepipe levelling ramps bathroom package etc but he said that they left them all in the motor-homes anyway. We were worried that we would be charged after the hire but were assured we would not be and signed the electronic pre-hire checklist.
We had a wonderful eight days travelling around Devon and Cornwall returning the motor-home just before 11.00am on the last day of hire.
We were greeted by Alex who quickly booked the motor-home back in and confirmed all was good with fuel level, toilet cassette, etc and that there was no new external damage again we signed the electronic post-hire checklist.
Both copies of the checklists were emailed to us for our records.
We cannot rate the service from the Bristol depot high enough and would gladly give them 5 stars for all their help.
Then comes the only part of the overall experience that if sorted by the company would have resulted in a 5 star rated review.
We waited the 28 working days as per the terms and conditions after the rental to request our deposit of £1,250 back and completed the online process which stated make take up to 5 working days to complete. We left it the extra 5 days before checking our credit card balance only to find the refund had not been processed. We opened a live chat and reported this to Lynda who messaged stating we would receive an email from Credit Administration who would look into this issue. The email confirmed that the issue was being processed and please allow 7 to 10 working days to receive an update on the issue. 7 to 10 days came and went so again opened a livechat this time with Katlin who apologised and organised for the Credit administration team to chase up the issue. Another email stating the refund had been processed was received stating allow 4 to 5 working days for the credit to show into our account. Again we left it 5 working days to check our account and found that the credit had been processed and all £1,250 had been credited. This took 50 working days in total for the end of our hire which is far too long.
If the company sorted this issue out the reviews on this site may reflect a different rating.
Again a very big thank you to all at the Bristol depot for a great service

Don’t do it.
If there was no stars I would have put 0. I am not sure where to begin with the company. First of all Don’T DO IT. They start off with cheap prices and don’t tell you about the add on’s. Including trying to charge you an extra £25 on the hire day for TV licence. Lucky I had a copy of mine on line. Then I thought we was getting a new motor home but it’s 2014. We enjoyed our holiday. On return they tried to say I had damaged the mirror but when we compared photos. It was there when I pick it up. If you are still thinking of hiring from them. Take your own photos before you leave the yard.
We returned our van, that was fine once I had to stand my ground about the so call damaged. It was spotlessly clean with a full tank of fuel. Then the FUN really started trying to get our deposit back. It’s been 53 days and still no deposit returned. Our bank as now opened an investigation on the company. It’s been hell. Good luck if you hire from them.

absolute joke!!!
the low rental is just to get your money in their pocket, they then ask for all sorts of money on the next page after so when you try to cancel and even though your still in the process of just booking the motorhome their already in the process of taking your money, even when you confirm the cancellation on their chat with an employee. i now have wait 28 working days to get my money back. absolute joke of a company, don't get stung like i did. AVOID AVOID AVOID

The low rental is a hook to get you in
The low rental is a hook to get you in, and once in they bombard you with up selling for things that should be included. I am now one of the many who have not received their deposit back.
The reason given for holding a deposit for more than a month is to ensure that there were no parking tickets or speeding fines - this is not relevant as any rental company simply provides details of the driver at the time.
PLEASE PLEASE don't hire from this company. Nothing is as cheap as it sounds.
If anyone wants to call the company it might be worth contacting their sales person on 01223 930144

ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FALSE!!
ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FALSE!!
My lengthy, factual & very detailed reviews following our recent experience have all been removed by Trustpilot as a consequence of them regarding this bunch of criminals more important than the hundreds of people motorhomehire.uk.co (& all of the other names they trade under) are ripping off on a regular basis.
My case is now with our credit card company, FraudAlert, & the legal system.
Interesting that a number of 'positive' reviews have appeared recently - clearly sponsored by this totally corrupt & fraudulent organisation - the sooner they're out of business the better.
