Same experience as all the rest so far. Enticed with cheap hire rates then hit with dozens of extra charges. All of which are offered at half price in the run up to the hire collection date. Got to say staff at Keltie pick-up point were amazing and the collection process was easy. I’ll hire directly from them next time. Yet to see if deposit is returned after their ridiculous 6 week wait rule which I have been advised is 19 years old. I suggested this is reviewed as it is no longer necessary to raise paper cheques hand written by ink and quill pen. Bank transfers are immediate as demonstrated by the method I was asked to pay for the hire fee. Not happy and will never use this company again. EVER.

Disgraceful
well what can I say, I wished that I had read the reviews for this company before I booked it. The cost's incurred as you go through the booking process were ridiculous!!!! , the add ons, hook up! tv licence, Toilet pack, need I say more !!!!! It should have been made clear from the onset.
I like many others am waiting on my deposit, trying to get this resolved through on line chat is difficult (although I appreciate that Mark is just doing his job), however after waiting 28 working days I requested my deposit, this was to be refunded within 4-5 days, I have now been told 7 days later that I will have to wait another 7-10 days. Based on the other reviews I am not holding out much hope.
A word of warning to everyone please make sure you check your fuel on return, we were slightly short and accepted we had to pay for it but £97 was a bit steep for the sake of probably £5 worth of fuel.
The only decent thing about the Company were the girls in the Kelty depot, they were very helpful.

I am experiencing precisely the same…
I am experiencing precisely the same issue with non-refund of security deposit as many on here. I have messaged on a number of occasions without the courtesy of a response
I have now sent a recorded delivery letter with a 7 day payment request, failing which a Small Claims Action will be raised. I have also now been able to identify all companies they use to supply the motor homes and am contacting each of them, giving details also of all other reviews on here. And finally, because there are so many similarly poor reviews, I have contacted Trading Standards. Maybe everyone else could do the same? Do NOT give in to this sham of a business, particularly if you have paid by credit card.
UPDATE- interesting development regarding the Registration of this business with Companies House, - please note the business is a limited company and is registered as UnbeatableHire Limited (yet nowhere on their website is this stated). There is one active Director and one active Secretary- all details at Companies House web site. VAT number is accurate but NOT allocated to the website named company

appalling company stay away
appalling company, complete scam, they lure you in with a cheap rate then once committed they bombard you with extra costs, conditions, and charges. where the deposit is concerned they will do anything to withhold it, wish I had read reviews before hiring.
the staff at the depot were nice but have nothing to do with the companies you book through. in the end 4 days hire has cost us £820, with no damage and adhering to their return policies. the camper itself was not in a great state, the fridge wasnt working, the hot water didn't work, all the catches on the handles were broke on the cupboards so everything falls out whilst driving, the tv had no signal anywhere, locks were stiff and seized so opening doors and compartments was a nightmare.
READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
If I could give 0 stars I would.
We used this company to hire a camper van for Kendal Calling 2019 and I don't know what was worse the camper itself, getting stuck in the mud and unable to find a tow hook, the customer service or the made up charges when we handed it back!
The camper itself was poor quality. One of the windows was broken and duct taped together and was unusable, the fridge didn't work and so the food we had bought that needed refrigerated went off meaning we had to spend more money buying food at the site which we were trying to avoid in order to save money, the shower rail was broken, one of the hobs didn't work, the light fittings kept coming loose resulting in the lights going off, the equipment they gave us to put water into the van was absolutely useless and worst of all the handbrake didn't work properly on one side which made us spin backwards and could have resulted in a crash!
When trying to leave the campsite on the evening we got stuck in deep mud and tried to get help from the site staff but ended up waiting approximately 5 hours in the mud before eventually leaving. 2 hours of this time was spent looking for the tow hook to allow us to be pulled out of the mud!! The manual that was with the camper had most of its pages missing and when we googled where the tow hook should be it was not there either. It was only after emptying and looking through the entire van did we find it at the back of a random cupboard!
When we eventually got home and gave the van back. They looked around and tried to blame us for the problems I mentioned above as well as other things such as parking our car on their site for the weekend and a TV licence which was never mentioned previously and we didn't even switch it on anyway?? After sending numerous emails which were mostly ignored and calls that were never answered we eventually got some of the bogus charges taken off but they still refused to budge on most. At this point they gave us only 3 days to pay and because we didn't want to be charged late fees on top, we gave up and paid.
Summary: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL LITERALLY CHARGE YOU FOR ANYTHING AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR CAMPER VANS IS SHOCKING!

DO NOT GO NEAR THEM!!!
DO NOT GO NEAR THEM!!!
Awful. It’s been so stressful. They’ve had my £1250 deposit for 3 months. They clearly won’t give it back, it’s criminal what they do. Almost impossible to contact or get a response from them. Eventually got some photos and a statement charging over £800 for various things like a photo of the clean toilet but saying it wasn’t clean enough. A box of something and one crisp in a cupboard even though we didn’t eat a single crisp in the 3 days we had it. Even sent a photo of the paper that’s on the drivers floor as standard like when you hire a car or get your car mot’d etc. Charging me for that as the paper ripped. The girl got me to sign the iPad which clearly stated “no new damage” above my signature but they cropped that bit out when they sent me a screen shot of my signature. When the check was done I asked for a copy but was told it’s not possible. So asked to take a photo on my phone but was told it’s too late it had been sent to head office. I can’t stress enough not to use them. You start to worry as soon as you pay for your bargain deal hire then get email after email saying you have to sent this and that to them and pay for yet more things if you want to complete the booking (hire payment non refundable) so you feel you have to continue. They’re crooks. Please please don’t use them and have the stress myself and clearly so many others have had!!

COWBOYS!!!
Only rating 1 as there’s no option to give zero....will try and keep your deposit fraudulently and will make promises to refund when you threaten with the ombudsmen.....only to claim they have refunded and the issue must be with your bank!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Me and my father both hired motor homes for a weekend trip and got scammed out of our deposits.. they add bolts and bolts of charges and my caravan was falling apart.. we had not hot water in the shower. Broken doors.. the tv was broke, it fell out the ceiling and almost injured a child and they charged us a tv license fee! We drove through a toll which we paid straight away £2.50 yet they charged us £14 for driving through the toll.
As soon as these people got my money the service went crash and I was having anxiety about my trip even happening because it felt like a scam. My gut was right.. every email was ignored. On the live charts they were rude and left me waiting 11 minutes for a flat response. When I called the sales lady Sharon that was happy to text and call me every day prior to booking, to voice to her my concerns she was completely rude and annoyed that I even called her that she didnt care at all about me being scammed. I wish I had listed to my gut instinct and also checked trust pilot because many are confurming that this is not just me this has happened too. I basically ended up paying £750 for 3 nights in a caravan that was falling apart even though the deal was £249. I cleaned the motorhome and returned it immaculately, I completely respected all the rules and was still ripped off. Dont let this happen to you!

PLEASE don't hire from them. They gice you a basic price then they add bolt on and bolt ons. My basic holiday started at £1000 bybthe end of all the extras came to 1750!. Then the hefty deposit of £1250.
9 weeks down the line im still waiting for my deposit back. Some people have been waiting for 5 months. They rip you iff. PLEASE, PLEASE dont use them. If I had read the reviews I would never have used them.
OH LOOK ITS THE SAME COPY SND PASTE REPLY THEY SEND TO EVERYONE. YOUR MOTORHOME SHOULD COME WITH A ROBBERS MASK AND A HORSE...

Appalling company that is out to fleece you.
Appalling company that is out to fleece you for every penny that you have and then supplies vans that are of dubious mechanical safety. The 'all in' hire charge that they initially quote is not 'all in' and they then bombard you with emails with all the 'extras' that should be included with the hire of a vehicle, such as recovery options - then they want extra for gas, then they want extra for knives and forks, then for electricity hookup cables, parking chocks - you name if there is a way to charge then they will try it. And then the vehicle you get is shabby and you have to identify EVERY little fault and mark otherwise - you've guessed right - they want to charge you exorbitant amounts to rectify the fault (which given the state of the vehicles they never fix.
Then there is their help line ...
Avoid this company, if you do use them be prepared for a painful process.

I’m not sure I can add anymore to the similar experiences which are very familiar to us! I’m also now bemused and annoyed at the “copy and paste” effort which they are doing to respond to each feedback on this site?! We are still waiting for our refund which was due to us on 20 September. They’ve had my money for nearly five months. I’ve taken out a dispute with them directly and guess what? Zero has happened with that. I’ve now handed this to my credit card company who are managing it on my behalf. Absolutely shocking service with no regard for the customer and the most ineffective Chat facility. Most worrying is their financial model as they must be keeping the business afloat with all of our deposits!

No option to do zero stars!
No option to do zero stars!! What a shame. I can’t believe the ridiculous standard response to previous review!! They clearly have not read the stinging review I gave them!! I have read others’ reviews and seen this response to them. They start by saying reviews help them improve services!! 😂😂😂. That’s laughable. Then they go on to try and entice you In to hire again!! Never ever hire from this bunch of cowboys!!

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would! From the very beginning began to regret this booking. After much searching these guys 'seemed' to have a good price and were able to offer more flexible bookings (ie not a week). I made the booking and was instantly bombarded with texts, about how I could upgrade my experience...for example pay for an electric cable? Really???? This stuff should be included as standard!! I ignored most of the texts and actually blocked the number in the end because it was almost daily. Then comes the issue of insurance, you couldn't take out your own, you could either use their extortionate insurance or pay a large (£1000 deposit, plus admin fee!). We took this route and had £1250 deducted from our credit card (this also included a damage deposit). Thank god we put this on our credit card and we have had to fight and battle to get this back. I understood the terms were 28 working days, so made contact and requested the refund after this time. It all seemed fairly straightforward, all online and confirmation received that i would get my payment in 3-5 days.....NOTHING, so chased again (via online chat as they don't have phone lines!) to be told there was an issue and it was with the credit team..I then had to raise a case which could take up to 10 days to review. It was farcical, the online chat are rude, blunt and unhelpful. As I said above they don't have phone lines so you cant speak with anyone. In the end we raised a Section 75 case with our Credit Card provider to eventually get this money back. All in all I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Please do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere

Please please please DO NOT use this…
Please please please DO NOT use this Company - I wish I had had the sense to read reviews before I become embroiled with this immoral fraudulent bunch of thieves. The price they quote is no where near what you end up paying just to get your Motor home fit for purpose, everything and I mean everything you are charged for on top of the hire price they quote you - even a TV license!!
Then when you return the motor home the battle begins to get your deposit refunded. 8 weeks I've been battling now, jumping through ridiculous processes and hurdles which are just delaying tactics for giving you your money back. Don't even think about trying to speak to someone 10 messages I've left on their answer machine, never received a call back. The only way of communicating with them is on-line chat, they take over 1 hour to reply to you and then if they cant answer your questions they just end the chat and you have to start all over again. Their most recent excuse for not refunding my already drastically reduced deposit (reductions made for fictitious problems that you end up accepting because you've lost the will to live) is that MY bank declined the refund. Funnily enough my bank, when I called them have never received any attempt from them to refund any money. If I can save just one person from being subjected to this revolting company then spending my time and energy writing about the worst company I've ever had to deal with in my life has been worth it.
