Marshalls in Coulsdon

I bought a T-Roc from Marshalls in Coulsdon. My dealings were with Anthony Baugh and I could not fault him for his professionalism and efficiency. The car itself was presented in immaculate condition. However, having already bought my previous car 4 years ago from Motorline in Tunbridge Wells, (and being very happy in all areas), I was disappointed with the overall customer ethos now that Motorline has been taken over by Marshalls ( a much bigger company). One example.....I part exchanged my car, bringing it in with half a tank of fuel. On my new car, there was barely enough to move the needle so my first port of call was the petrol station. What a difference in experience for the customer, had I collected this with even a quarter of tank??! It wouldn't have cost the company anything but, for the customer, a nicety. Overall, though I found Anthony to be a very good representative of the company, I was disappointed with the lack of small courtesies..........the difference between a good and average experience of Marshalls.

Excellent service from Hyundai Canterbury

My wife and I visited the Marshall Hyundai dealership in Canterbury today. I can honestly say that we were offered excellent service from Nick Jordan.
We had 3 types of Kona hatchback in mind when we visited. Nick very clearly ran through al the differences between the models we had in mind patiently explaining the differences and benefits.
We left feeling we had definitely made the right choice for us.
If you are not a 'petrolhead' and need assistance with choosing the right car I have no hesitation in recommending Marshall Hyundai Canterbury and in particular Nick Jordan

Motorline Peugeot Crawley

Great service I have had a few issues with my 5008 and it’s gone in they have diagnosed the faults with ease and when I returned the Car was completely Valeted inside and out !!!! Was such a nice gesture made you feel really good on drive home.

Recently had my MOT done their and again very very friendly went in and again you guessed it fully valeted again inside and out Amazing.

I wanted to see the new 308 Station Wagon they had in the showroom so I was climbing all over it playing with all the toys :) and checking how noisy doors shut etc and the sales guys were not pushy at all just let me do my own thing and if I needed help which I did they were so friendly and unlike other dealers that harass you for contact info they do not have me a lot of info about Hybrid cars etc very very good such a shame I didn’t get their name to praise on here :(.

But overall view of Peugeot Gatwick 20 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Toyota Motorline Stourbridge great customer service

I bought my aygo from Toyota motorline Stourbridge West Midlands and couldn’t be happier it was recommended after my both my sister and dad had great customer service there, the sales executive Michael Mahrra who coincidentally also dealt with my sister and dad was both helpful and professional he also helped me retaining my private plate which I had no clue how to do.
I couldn’t recommend mike enough he goes above and beyond to help you even after you’ve bought the car! He’s a real credit to Toyota Stourbridge.

Very disappointed with the way I was…

Very disappointed with the way I was treated at Hyundai Worcester

From the start the service was very good but it soon changed. I bought a 2015 golf r (BV15 OOJ) from there which was a lovely car inside and out, on the day I picked it up and drove it home there was a very loud whirring noise which was coming from the car, so I rang them and told them and they said bring it back the next morning for us to inspect which I did and the Mechanic confirmed there was a problem with it but he would need the car for a while to have a look at it and try and fix it, which was not feasible for me as I lived over an hour away from this garage. So I said I will take it to a specialist by me which did a full health check on the car and confirmed that the front and rear differentials were damaged and needed replacing which was going to cost about £4,500 to repair, so I rang Hyundai that evening and informed them of this and told them that I would be bringing the car back the next day, and I was informed that for this to happen I would have to have my part ex car back which was fine by me, but when I arrived at Hyundai the next day to take the golf back I was informed that I couldn’t have my old car back meaning I had no car to get back as I was leaving the golf there and getting my deposit back, I was very shocked that I wasn’t informed of this before making the journey up by myself with now no way to get back,

So when I was at hyundi returning the car back which I had paid good money for and bought from a main dealer thinking the car would of been checked and wouldn’t have any problems but I was wrong! And I then got informed that I would get my deposit back but minus any costs which shouldn’t of been coming out of my back pocket as they sold me a faulty car and caused me a lot of Hastle and left me with no car.

We are now 1 week later and they have put the car back up for sale already which they deffo haven’t fixed the issue as it would take a lot longer than a week to source the parts and complete the job on the golf. As a MAIN dealer they should be ashamed of themselves and I am disgusted with the service I received and I will be taking this further to try and get my deposit back that I lost out on because of them selling me a dodgy car.

On a positive note the salesman that sold my the car (Sean) was very helpful from start to finish and he is a credit to the company, but the decision was out of his hands which I completely understand.

Maybe the managers of this showroom should take a leaf out of Sean’s book of how to deal with customers!!

Very disappointed and I will never return after the terrible experience I had her and all the money I lost through no fault of my own!

And I will be making sure I spread the word about the golf r so no other poor soul buys it and ends up with an expensive bill!

Very Good Experience

I had a very good experience with Marshalls, Lianne helped me and gave me all the details I needed. After a test drive, I came back and was taken through all the options to enable me to buy the car I wanted, Lianne was extremely patient, to say the least. I would highly recommend Marshalls to anyone wanting a first class experience.

Very slow at returning refundable deposit

On March 9th, paid a £99 deposit to secure a VW at Marshall Gatwick for 24 hours. Decided not to proceed with purchase but as at March 26th no refund received despite telephone calls to the dealership and emails to accounts department. Have used this deposit scheme with other dealerships and return has been received within 7 days

Don't buy autoprotect - they don't honour claims

Took out supplementary autoprotect cover on my new car 7 months ago to cover minor dents and scratches. Car was damaged by a neighbour's fence panel falling on it three times in the recent storms. Appalling. Made a claim. Engineer decided the three separate dents, which I'd identified separately on the claim and had been authorised, constituted a single incident, with no evidence that this was the case. He drew the longest line possible between the dents and made it > 30cm. He told me he wasn't equipped to fix it with a dent puller (which he recommended as the best solution), that he could fill it but that wasn't the right thing to do and would take more than four hours (presumably the job rate he'd been given), so he declined the repair. The claims service rep was very polite but told me that once the engineer had declined there was nothing they could do. So I have cancelled the policy and obtained a pro-rata refund. Just the seven months plus the cancellation fee wasted.

Hyundai Canterbury

On arrival I was greeted with a professional and friendly Salesman.
I asked to speak to the Motorbility Salesman
He Introduced himself and welcomed me into the dealership and showed me to his desk, after chatting for a while he suggested we took a look at the Hyundai Kona Electric Hatchback
Was very impressed with the car and the knowledge he had regarding this vehicle,
The Salesman Name was Rupert Wilson,
I left feeling very happy to have put in an order for the car.

Beware of this dealership..!

Purchased a BMW which was MOT’d the day before collection. On the drive home the windscreen washers didn’t work at all, and hadn’t done for some time, which should have been an MOT failure?! Also the rear tyre tread was down to 2mm, despite being reassured by Stephen Holtom the salesman, that if the tread was below 3mm it would be recorded on the MOT cert as an advisory note - which it wasn’t! Also the break warning light came on after a couple of days of ownership due to badly grooved and lipped front brake discs damaging the pads.
When I raised these issues with Motorline, Loughborough, they agreed to pay for the washer repair but couldn’t care less about the other faults because the car had got through the MOT.
The independent BMW specialist garage I took the car to be fixed questioned the legality of the MOT and advised me to have another one done. Both garage and MOT centre have been reported and will be investigated by the DVSA and my car re-MOT’d by them.
Be careful dealing with this garage, especially the aftersales people who couldn’t care less. I definitely won’t go back.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Alex Kerr, who treated us really really well.
We initially went in to the shop to check out boot space as my wife needs it for her wheelchair.
We left having signed the papers for a brand new Hyundai Tucson.
Thanks to Alex and her excellent customer services and knowledge of the product, she made this the best experience for us.

Skoda Motorline Dartford BAD

Bought pre reg 21 plate Skoda Fabia Online. Advertised with REAR PARKING CAMERA but there wasn’t one!! I was told it was a TYPO! No service book and no petrol in the car when delivered despite paying £30. My complaint has not been dealt with, post sales customer service is NON EXISTENT. Buy from this company/cowboy outfit at your on risk. If anything is wrong TOUGH LUCK. You have been warned.
