Motorline Coulsdon - outstanding

Recently bought a new car from Steve Ventham and the level of service was outstanding: doing things on his days off, really high level of communication throughout and (of course) a what felt like a really good deal on the car I wanted.

Importantly, throughout the entire process, the 'sales patter' was kept to an absolute minimum and Steve listened to what was important to me and focused on that.

Ultimately it has felt high integrity, high humanity, and a really easy, enjoyable proces.

Thank you, Steve!

Motorline Toyota South Bristol

Motorline Toyota South Bristol. Previously my family have used this dealership for years. However, after I purchased my car from Listers Toyota, I booked my car in for services and MOT’s at Motorline. Initially all seemed well, but it would seem there has been a change of after sales/service manager. Noel Corley. Extremely rude, arrogant and condescending. I was given the run around by Motorline customer service so rang to speak with the dealership to explain. Noel launched into a verbal attack. Letting him finish I explained the situation and received an apology for his tone and manner. Damage already done though. Then weeks later, AA attended my car. AA rang the dealership and Noel spoke with the AA technician. Unfortunately for Noel the call was on hands free so I heard the entire conversation. Again Noel launched into verbally attacking/slating me. My car was taken into the dealership by the AA technician. Days later I was told by Noel that they could not find the fault I was claiming and I was advised to either spend many £1000’s investigating, or best bet to trade in for a newer model. How convenient for them if I did! My car is low mileage, has always been serviced, MOT’d and maintained by Toyota main dealers. When my car went in last November for a full service and MOT there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. It flew through the MOT and was given the full service. However, that’s when things changed and after being in this dealership I’ve had no end of issues with my car. You could say these things can happen, but the way I’ve been treated and the fact it’s only had issues since being in this dealership raises questions for me. Either I give the dealership £1000’s to find the issue or I give the dealership £1000’s in buying a newer model!! There are some lovely staff in this dealership, but Noel is not one of them. Forums I’ve read through suggest other owners (not just toyota) have experienced very similar problems with cars after being in dealerships. And questions have been raised as to whether deliberate issues are programmed into cars ECU’s in order to force new or second hand car sales. This is certainly a question I’ve thought many times.

Had a very positive experience buying from Motorline Canterbury.
Staff were polite and courteous at all times with zero hard selling.
Only one issue with the car I was buying, but that was rectified by the time I picked it up.
Would definitely recommend based on my experience.

A disappointing waste of weeks of time.....

Having reserved a car and travelled to test drive it at Motorline Drivenow Cardiff, the car went into engine limp mode so couldn't be driven.
After a month of the car apparently going back and fore to the main dealers with a range of reasons given for the delays, we were finally told the problem was resolved and the car was ready to collect.
Literally on the way out of the door to do so, the call came from Claudio to say he had gone to move the car for collection and the same fault had reoccurred. He told me the car was now off sale and would be sent to the auctions. Really annoying but at that point one of those things despite the inconvenience and financial implications of having to insure and use another car in the meantime etc. and having to start all over again to find another car.
But another month later - lo and behold, the car is back on the website for sale! Price increased by £1400 presumably to cover repairs so hopefully the next interested buyer won't have the runaround we've had.
It might be that we've had a lucky escape with this particular car but it does add insult to injury to find that we weren't told the truth and would certainly deter us from using the company again. Which is a pity, because regular contact with Colin initially and Claudio latterly had been very positive during the abortive process and had given a good impression of customer service.

Hyundai Ioniq

My wife and I drove into the car park and within less than a minute were greeted by Harrison. He asked us what vehicles we might be interested in and showed us around 2 Hyundai Ioniq's. Arranged a test drive and closed the deal within the hour. Harrison is a credit to the sales team at Ashford. A polite and caring young man.

Motorline Canterbury Scammers

Went to buy a car today from DriveNow Canterbury which is part of Motorline. The car on the forecourt was advertised in the car on a big sign in the window as £14400. We went to put a deposit on the car but the sales person advised it would be easier to do it online, so we went online to pay for deposit and noticed the car was advertised for £800 more than the forecourt. We queried this and was told that they can charge what they like and we’d have to pay the higher price - even though the car we saw in person was advertised clearly cheaper in the sale. Never have we been to buy a car and told we couldn’t have it for the asking price but needed to pay more! The salesperson was cocky, rude and honestly wouldn’t ever buy a car from them as would worry if this was the level of customer service BEFORE buying the car, what would it be like after if we had a problem. Plenty more cars out there so we took our business elsewhere - and would advise others to do the same.

Absolutely crap franchise do not buy from these. They no nothing about the cars they’re selling. Also they damage the cars and they don’t change pollen filters even though it’s part of a full service. Luckily I checked mine and complained but received no apology for it. Stuart Lamb at Hereford is a rude individual and talks over you.

Brought all of my cars from Motorline…

Brought all of my cars from Motorline over the years as the customer service was brilliant.
Went to buy another car off them at Nissan Tonbridge wells last weekend and they agreed the price and some works I wanted them to do on the car as part of the deal. Paid deposit then only to receive a call off them yesterday stating they would not do the alloy wheel scuff repair as it would come out of their profits.
So they refunded my deposit which was bad business practice and as a loyal Motorline customer for years I would not be buying off them ever again! Poor customer service.

Motorline Cardiff - Unacceptable

After a long search on AutoTrader i contacted Motorline - Cardiff. Here’s a timeline of the past week…

Sunday 5th September 2021
• Paid the deposit for the car

Monday 6th September 2021
• Completed all the credit searches and accepted the finance terms with Motorlines credit broker.
• Signed all the documents and emailed these over to the dealership.
• On this email I advised that I have booked a train to travel from Sheffield to Cardiff to pick up the car on Tuesday 14th… which gave the dealership plenty of time to have the car and paperwork complete for pickup.

Friday 10th September
• Called the branch at 13:30 and spoke to the manager (Howard) who advised “everything looks good and the car will be ready for Tuesday, but if there’s any problems we’ll call you back within the hour”
• Howard called at 18:30 to advise that they can no longer sell me that car, as they’ve just discovered a couple of oil leaks in addition to low compression.
• I questioned why this vehicle was up for sale without prior checks, along with how disappointed I was with the whole experience.

In summary, over the past week I made a commitment to purchasing your vehicle and placed my trust in you to deliver on the product you advertised. I had further credit checks requested via your broker to complete the sale, and purchased train tickets to collect the car. These tickets are non-refundable totalling £92-04. In addition to this, I had car insurance in place to pick up my vehicle who have subsequently charged me a cancellation fee of £30.

After committing to a sale, signing documents, paying a deposit to be told that you cannot fulfil your part in the sales process isn’t an acceptable experience, especially from a reputable brand.

If someone from the customer experience team can come back to me over the weekend to find a quick resolution to this situation, I’d be appreciative.

Very prompt and responsive to needs.

I called up to speak to Harrison who has previously been very helpful. I stated I have a change of circumstances and need a different size car and deal. He amazingly had this arranged and sorted within an hour and I was then in the shop signing contracts before 16:00. I had a much better deal and have always received brilliant customer service and a professional attitude.

Recently purchased a vehicle from Jordan Simmons Motorline Ashford

Recently purchased a vehicle from Motorline Ashford … only picked it up yesterday . The salesman we dealt with Jordan Simmonds was extremely polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Makes change not get a pushy salesman and I don’t mean that rudely as I also work in a sales environment, he made regular contact and the purchase a nice smooth easy one.

Shame it’s not our local garage, we went there specifically because they had the car we wanted otherwise we would use it for servicing etc but just too far from where we live.

MOTORLINE NISSAN ASHFORD KENT CONNING OAPs

My Grandfather and I, took his Motability car here today for a service. When he returned there was a foot-long crack at his eye level in the windscreen that categorically wasn't there when he took it in. The despicable people said it definitely was and told him he couldn't prove otherwise in a taunting manner. He has now got to pay £100 excess to get it changed as it is undrivable where it is.
He is 83 years old and this is how he is treated by some jumped up little creep. I will make sure this is known by people as far and wide as is possible.

Avoid this place at all costs.
