Shocking service

Shocking service
Where do I start? I ordered a replacement phone charger recently and expected delivery in about 4 days, it had been re called to the warehouse so I didn't receive it. Called Motorola and spoke to a very abrupt and unhelpful staff member. A second shipment was sent which didn't arrive until 2 weeks after my order, I've now rejected the delivery because the service is appalling. Two weeks without a charger, don't use this unhelpful company.

Arived with problems

Some people will complain about their phones being bad, well let me complain that I don’t even have a phone, as it’s never arrived.

1st when placed order, waited couple of days for it to arrive, but once it went past expected date, I gave them a ring. Apparently the delivering company “UPS” had some issues with the address and they sent it back to sender “Motorola”. Ok no problems, stuff happens.

My second call to them was to find out what is happening, they said that the item is in their warehouse and it’s being reshipped, ok I said, no worries, this time it was “TNT” company, and I actually received tracking number for the first time, hooray I said, or did I…

Was tracking every day, and it was scheduled to be delivered on 27th January, so I took a day off just not to miss it… so what can I say, the date has came, I was waiting patiently on the first floor, and guess what, received an email from “TNT” that it was delivered in good condition, I started fuming right away, because no one knocked on my door, no one rang me- absolute silence. I checked on TNT website for the proof of delivery, there is no photo, but a signature of someone who collected the item, so clearly delivered to the wrong address, or courier decided to make a gift for themselves, well done TNT…

Rang moto again, only to be said that it will be investigated and will receive further updates. Sick of waiting forever, sick of abysmal “couriers” who they trust to send expensive items. Will be waiting for an update, if the answer will be they are sending a new phone- I don’t care at this point, I will automatically say “cancel order please” I need a full refund.

Either the courier took it to himself, or someone can enjoy a brand new phone, and all thanks to inadequate couriers, not blaming moto, but they should have some responsibility of which couriers they use.

If I will receive an item, I will update this review accordingly, depending if there will be an usable phone in the package, or will get a repacked brick or Nokia 3310. So much of my time wasted…

EDIT: 27/01/25

Have checked CCTV footage, van arived and parked right outside my house, he went to open his back doors from van, and collected an parcel, the size of a box where a phone would fit. Instead of coming to our address, he didn't even look our way, not even tried to ring a door bell or knock on doors, he went somwhere further. So I went to my neighbours next door- they had a package.

Rang motorola to update them and to inform them that driver didn't even bother knocking at our door, which also has a clear signage of our house number, he also falsified signature, as my neighbour said they didn't sign for it. I told motorola that I want to put complaint on that driver/delivery company, as this is unnaceptable, if I had bad neighbours, they would not care at all and propably would not even had given the item to me.

Other than that, I'm happy with motorola customer service (phone, not e-mail).

To the "TNT" Driver 1/10* for not bothering at all, that's how parcels are being missing every-single-day, and If I had no CCTV cameras, same as neighbours, I would be left stranded without the device, and in court if I had to take further steps, they would go in favour of the company, because that's how it is all the time....

Goodbye moto

Bought a new moto e13 phone from tesco in may 2024.
settings keep disappearing and it continually disconnects from my service provider. Tesco refused to do anything, so followed instructions and returned the unit to motorola. Came back "repaired". Sadly the problem still exists, so am exploring the Trading Standards route.

Motorola cache hassle

Unfortunately Motorola phones start good but as soon you say watch some YouTube videos & sent an email the internet will freeze because the cache is full, & this will happen a few times a day & only way to sort out his is to restart the phone, over & over again in just 1 day listening to that idiot saying hello Moto I really hope she has died since recording that!, they also are very aware of this issue & have not bothered to correct it, instead they will just tell you to restart your phone whenever you have a problem, really poor avoid all the hassle

No phone for 7 months

Worst, to the point of not functioning, phones in the market and non-existent customer service. I bought a Motorola handset and in May 2024 phone started entering an infinite reboot loop for no reason. Motorola has not been able to repair phone even after 3 attempts, and replacement device suffered from the same issue. 7 months later and over 100 emails later, Motorola has not been has not been able to offer a resolution. Who can afford staying without a working phone for that long? All answers you get from (non) customer service staff are scripted and useless. Is anybody listening in Motorola? Apparently not.

Customer Service seems very very slow

Your Customer Reference Number: 241216-000351
Customer Service seems very very slow. I asked a simple enough question of whether my 2 years extended warranty will cover screen damage at 1.5 years old. When I looked they seemed to have 3 different types of cover, I did not see that when I ordered the phone new direct from them, they made an offer that looked really good as repair/replace for 2 years at £x . After asking within 3 days I received a reply, "I have forwarded your request to our higher department for a thorough check. As soon as I receive any updates from them, I will promptly inform you." I think the higher up's must have taken early xmas holidays, that reply was on the 16th of Dec, they then sent a cheeky follow up, "Hello! We have not heard back from you following your recent query. Could you let us know if the issue is solved?
Regards,
Aleksandar from Moto/Lenovo." I was waiting on hearing from their "Higher Ups" why would I have responded? I'm fortunate, I'm not in an extreme rush, it is only a crack in the screen, and all still works. But come on guys, its a cracked screen, why cant someone make a decision! Shocking after service & They may have lost my goodwill... 2 star because at least they did respond! credit for that part.

This phone is awful at best

This phone is awful at best! The screen now has a white running it's length and it will only charge when left open! DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! I have an original Razr many years ago, it was a good phone, this is garbage! Motorola will fix the screen for free, if.you can do without a phone for 6weeks! Absolute joke! Stay away!

G73 save your money

I've had a G8 Power for 5/6 years but it was starting to wobble. Got a new G73 5G as a replacement.
What a mistake - it's an absolute pile of crap.

People are not able to phone me unless it's over WhatsApp and now, less than 2 weeks old the WiFi has just given up. It says it's connected in settings but the icon isn't showing and nothing works.

I'm going to put my SIM cards back in my old phone until I can sort a further new replacement but there's no way on earth it will be a Motorola, that ship has now sailed.

Awful company and dreadful customer…

Awful company and dreadful customer service. They obviously just don't care about customers.
I bought a Motorola phone. When it started to lose it's power and was very slow, I bought a new one. The first one has completely packed in now.
The charging port isn't working on the second phone I bought. I took it to be fixed, but the guy said that it would be nearly the price of the phone to fix it, so it wasn't worth doing.
Because I don't think a charging port should stop working after only 2 and a half years, I contacted Motorola, to ask if they would fix it. Given that it was not long out of the warranty period, I hoped that they might agree to do this. No chance. They just weren't interested. It wouldn't have cost them much to fix it and it would have been really appreciated, but they wouldn't. A massive company that doesn't give a damn about its customers. Fixing my phone wouldn't have taken much, but would have meant a lot to me.
They are absolutely dreadful and I would avoid at all costs.

They damaged my phone and what £600.66 to repair it

Sent the phone back to service centre the way I received it after screen repair with damage to volume up button got a email from them to tell me my warranty was void due to physical damage to the phone and I would have to pay £600.66 to get the phone repaired phone there customer service and ended up having a heated conversation with the girl asked to speak to her supervisor three times and was told by her the supervisor would just tell me the same thing they are responsible for the damage volume button and are basically calling me a liar I know how I received the phone back and it was damaged by them or in transit so they want £600.66 or £30 to post the damage phone back to me it's just been a nightmare for start.

Where Is My Phone??

Purchased a phone from Motorola UK 12 days ago and was informed delivery would be made within 5 days. Still no sign of it! Why does Motorola UK not have stock in the UK? Why did my phone have to be shipped from the Netherlands? Why has it been held up at a depot in Inverness for the last 5 days? It's just two hours drive away. Is the courier waiting for more deliveries to my area before they consider it worth their while to send a driver out? Even had two emails saying it had been delivered. Was cut off when I eventually got through to Motorola "customer support" to tell them it had NOT been delivered. When I eventually got to speak to someone, I was told to ignore the emails. I want the phone I paid for, and it had better arrive in undamaged condition, and in full working order. Very poor service indeed!

NEW edit to this review. Out of the blue, my phone was delivered, even though on-line tracking stated it was still in Inverness. Am now in the process of setting it up , and hopefully all will be okay. Still considerably late in arrival though. The courier driver told me the parcel only arrived on their pallet this morning, and he comes up here every day. We'll see.

Motorola G54

Motorola G54. The battery life is total rubbish. Bought one 4 weeks ago, problems with battery life right from the start, so took it back to Argos a week ago. Had it exchanged for another G54. The second one is just the same. Charged up to 100% at 9pm it was not used again until 7am next morning. Battery down to 27%. Phone feels warm when not in use and not on charge.

Motorola Terrible phones

Had 3 edge 20 phones recently and all have issues where phones wouldn't charge anymore. Last 2 phones lasted just over a year. Have had Motorola phones for many years with few problems but in the last 3 to 4 years products have gone massively downhill and no help is given. Won't ever buy another Motorola phone.

Never again will i buy Motorola

I loath Motorola phones. Granted i bought this one in desperation and relatively cheaply but i paid for it. Motorola did not give it to me as a charity case and i am thus obligated to accept shody corporate practices and poor manufacturing. The Company's current standards leave a lot to be desired the constant freezing/ sticking when i use the phone be it adding a contact, searching the web for a retailer in London or Tokyo, the delayed responces in real time when i need to click on links to verify accounts as much as 40/ 50/ 60 seconds pass before the phone burps and lurches opening the browser. When filling out online digital forms this delay and freeze is so stressful too bc i never know for certain that the information has been received and recorded correctly by the site i am trying to communicate with ie applying for my Repeat prescriptions every month! The persistent & constant crashes when i research "hard" stuff such as production techniques online. That daft, shrieking "Hullo Moto" every time i have to restart the damn phone- Motorola does not pay me to advertise their product constantly overriding my phone's settings when i mute this feature- i got yelled at by a librarian with the phone going crazy in public at the packed local library. The list goes on interminably. As for contacting Motorola forget it!

Mercifully the new iPad should be delivered soon. And the new Honor (cheap) phone is charging its a lot quieter, has no nerve wracking shrieking audio message to broadcast and is far more reliable!

Not working phones, lack of support, Avoid

Used to be great brand, now completely rubbish. No customer service, non working phones.

There is "delayed and missing notifications" problem with Moto phones. Users started complaining about this almost year ago and Motorola did nothing to solve issue.

Delayed notifications means you will be not reachable and get missed calls and late messages. Basically useless phone.. you can contact others but you are not really contactable.

Motorola only advice is to Factory reset your phone, which only resolves issue for 1-2 weeks before notifications stop working again. (never mind horrendous process of backup , restore and setting up phone again)

Users been also experimenting with all possible settings: battery and data unrestricted use, locking apps etc.. none of which resolves problem long term.

Motorola did nothing to resolve this for almost year.
Their support is completely useless and only apologies for delays in fixing issue. But its been almost year since first reported!

I strongly advice you to avoid this company and I had 5 motorola phones in past which all were great value devices. Not anymore.
