Amazing product - 5 star

I’ve been a fan of the original Mud Kitchens for ages on instagram, so when I had my baby girl I knew straight away I would order her a Mud Kitchen for her 1st birthday. I purchased a Midi Mud Kitchen, in Urban Slate/Sweet pea. Joel and Natalie were brilliant from the start. I was able to pay over 10 months in instalments. When lockdown/Covid happened I was able to liaise with them and have my mud kitchen arrive right on time for my daughters birthday. They helped me pick and choose colours (when I had no idea and changed my mind) I can’t wait to repurchase a sand/water table and Perspex drawing screen. Such a creative family and the hardest workers ever. I’ve asked for vouchers for my baby and bought waterproofs too. Excellent value for money. You would be a fool to go elsewhere. Many thanks- the service is beyond compare x Ali x

Worth the wait 😍

Ordered a Mud Kitchen at start of lockdown and received it’s about 8 weeks later!
It is beautiful and played with on a daily basis.. my husband said when it arrived that it was almost too lovely to be sat in the garden and be covered in mud haha.
Communication was fab and they constantly posted about delivery times on Instagram which was helpful!
A fab family run business who have done amazingly well keeping it all going during a global pandemic and putting some much needed happiness into our little ones lives! Thank you

Highest quality mud kitchen

I can’t not fault the experience I had of ordering a mud kitchen for my grand daughter . I first of all requested it to be delivered in August using their payment plan then changed it to as soon as possible in mid June. They delivered the kitchen about 5 weeks later during lockdown. This family run business has continued to make these wonderful kitchens, easels etc in very trying circumstances through no fault of their own and They also kept everyone updated regularly on their social media. The kitchen itself is just a thing of beauty and will last for years and years. Many thanks for a top quality pocket that my grand daughter has played with every single day since it arrived

Fantastic quality product from a friendly, family business!

I had seen Mud Kitchens come up a number of times whilst I was pregnant, and I always told myself how much any child would absolutely love one of these beautiful kitchens. Fast forward a year and we ordered one for our boys 1st birthday. Lead times were clearly displayed and communicated, as it was a Christmas delivery. I also got to see loads of updates on Instagram, as the company normally upload pictures of what’s being made on the day So was very excited when I saw our kitchen on the bench! Natalie communicated constantly about the delivery, what day it would be coming etc. When it arrived, it was better than I could’ve imagined. The quality, attention to detail and care put into the kitchen stood out instantly. My little boy loves his kitchen so much, plays with it constantly and will do for years to come. It was a god send during lockdown. Definitely worth the money, without a shadow of a doubt. To know you’re supporting a small, family business, and the original Mud Kitchen company (rather than copycats) is amazing.

Kitchen for a birthday present

I ordered a kitchen for my son's first birthday. I saw the lead times which were clearly displayed on the website to say it would arrive a week after his birthday. I emailed them on the off chance they could do anything about this and they politely explained how busy they were and that they would see but couldn't make any promises. I was delighted when a couple of days before his birthday I got a message to say it would arrive the day before. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Yes these are expensive but our family all chipped in and I have to say the quality and detail is exceptional. It is better than my own kitchen. It sounds silly but even the quality of the hinges on the door show how much thought has been put into it. They clearly realises children will be putting their weight into it and have used really good hinges. My son absolutely loves it. We got 3 hours of chill time in the garden where he played with it non stop. Usually he's flying around all over the place. I love it so much and am now already planning on saving for the easel. Lovely company and a really great product.

Trusting company, 5* customer service.

I haven't even purchased from this company yet but fully intend to. I've been following their Instagram for a while and see so many gorgeous products. The fact they've pushed their company to succeed throughout a global pandemic, kept customers updated regularly with their stories, updated their social media to show new designs etc regularly gives me all the trust I need when I place my order. I'm writing this review as ive just seen someone leave a 2* review for no reason other than a global pandemic which is unfair and ludicrous. Keep going, keep pushing your company and keep succeeding. I cannot wait to place my order when funds allow. 💚

The most beautiful children’s toys

The most beautiful children’s toys! We purchased a Mud Kitchen six months ago and an easel more recently (during lockdown, to be delivered for my daughters birthday late July). They are not cheapest toys to purchase but they really are so well made, finished off beautifully and they are brilliant ideas! I’ve been totally satisfied with the customer service on both occasions, it was clear that the pandemic was causing them some problems but they did so well in keeping me up to date and my daughter got her birthday present, we were so grateful - they are a small family business - you can see the love in each piece made.
Would recommend whole heartedly.

If I could give more than 5 stars I…

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We have had our mud kitchen now for almost a year. It's without doubt the best purchase we have made for our family. It's played with daily come rain or shine. When I placed my order communication was quick and friendly and nothing seemed like to much trouble. I can't wait to order the new easel for my girls.
Thank you for from my family 😊

A fabulous family run company

A fabulous family run company. Who design and make the most beautiful quality mud kitchens and Easels. We have had our kitchen for nearly 3 years and it has given our girls hours of fun everyday and still looks brand new. We love the products so much we also got an easel last year which is also beautiful. The communication was brilliant, we were kept up to date with the time frame and they worked around the best delivery date and time for me.
Really couldn’t recommend this family run business more.

Perfect Product

An absolutely beautiful, handcrafted kitchen which is adored by my daughter (and her friends)
So many happy hours have been gained from our Mud Kitchen it’s hard to put a value on it.
I’ve followed them on Instagram for a while and had planned on buying one for my daughters birthday. In their stories were updates about lead times so I ordered earlier than intended and was kept up to date on progress. Despite how busy they were, they were even able to accommodate a last minute change of mind on the colour. Fantastic service and a wonderful toy that we’ll enjoy for years.

Absolutely fantastic products!

Absolutely fantastic products! We have both a mud kitchen and an easel and they are both works of art, sturdy and well played with! The communication was great when there were inevitable pandemic related delays, and it’s so nice to buy from a family business! They have worked so hard to produce such excellent quality kitchens, any imitations are nothing like as good! Very happy customer! Thanks!

10 STAR PLUS

Ordered my son's mud kitchen from these guys for his birthday. I ordered it earlier due to lockdown, when they posted about the turnaround being a bit longer due to supplies. It wasn't an issue for me as I always planned on ordering. I knew the kitchen would be good from the pictures they post, but when it got delivered on time when they said it would, the quality was just amazing. A proper solid toy that my boy can grow up playing with! Worth every penny and more in my eyes. I ordered the naked pebble so I could have fun painting it myself!
Communication from these guys was spot on, I honestly couldn't recommend them enough. I plan on ordering more from them!

Average

They really should have placed a pause on orders during lockdown like many other companies around the UK did to deal with the shortage of products (wood and paint). Unfortunately I feel they were greedy and continued to take orders (and gift free kitchens/easels to celebrities) even though they knew they couldn’t fulfill them.
The wait of 12 weeks plus was ridiculous. Communication was poor.
Is the product a good standard? Yes. Was it worth the money? If I had the chance again I wouldn’t reorder.

Reply from Mud Kitchens

Hello, thanks for taking the time to write such a review for a family business simply trying to navigate their way through lockdown and a world pandemic as best they can. The parameters changed on a weekly basis, we needed to fight for our business, the jobs of our workers and basically with not much help and guidance from the government - we needed to pay our mortgage! Hardly greed but survival. We gave regular updates both across our social media platforms and as regularly as we could individually, all whilst working in the workshop full time with no staff but our 6 year old son to homeschool too.
We also never gave away any free kitchens to any celebrities during lockdown?!
Instead of closing our books we extended the turnaround times and so it was up to you the customer to decide whether to place a lockdown order- it was stated on the website that time’s could change due to the pandemic. So sorry you had such an awful experience, and your child ended up with a beautiful toy. Hard times for everyone indeed.
