Careful with buying too many lessons in blocks. The refund process is not straightforward and there is a service and admin fee so two additional surcharges when you want to withdraw your money.

A great platform that has helped me to find quality pupils.

Right now, I am running Fedora Linux 42 on a Dell all-in-one PC. I have had some technical problems (not many) accessing MT's online classroom. I have found their attitude, customer service and response time to be excellent. No company (Internet or otherwise) can say that they don't make mistakes, and musicteachers is no exception. I was told that if I cannot, with their assitance, get my technical problem fixed, they would refund my money. I like to judge a company based (in part) on its customer service, and I think that MT really stands out when it comes to how they look after their customers.

They also have a large selection of qualified teachers that cover most major instruments, and I have found my experience (except with one teacher - just a minor complaint) with my tutors to be pleasant. If I had to offer them some feedback, I would say that they should try and offer more lessons on less well-known instruments, such as the accordian, Irish flute and harmonica.

Teachers aren’t reliable and as a result I didn’t get my education, very disappointed

I just got off a 15-minute call to help with my profile and was blown away by the advice I received. The attention to detail was mind-blowing, so much so, that we spent an hour on the call making sure I understood everything. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this was one of the best calls that I have ever had the pleasure of attending. If you are contemplating using the service, I would highly recommend it.

I have recently become a member of Music teachers .co.uk as a teacher of singing.
I have been a professional singer and teacher for over 30 years, and I'm so impressed. Firstly by the ease of using the website.The Quality of the teachers working with this company. The knowledge and help from James, Helen and Callum , and the ease of being able to teach on line safely and securely using an online classroom, which means students of any instrument can be taught anywhere in the World .
For those students wanting in person lessons every teacher is PVG checked before being allowed to work for musicteachers.co.uk.

We couldn’t recommend MusicTeacher more. My son had a such positive experience with his Clarinet teacher which we found through Music Teacher, the whole team of Music teacher impressed us, whenever we have questions or need their support, they are always there and respond swiftly.

I’m enjoying my singing lessons so much I wanted to increase the time. It was easy and instant to do so via their portal.

I’ve been using MusicTeachers.co.uk to teach online for a few months now and my experience has been nothing but fantastic. The platform to teach lessons is excellent and the tools are an added bonus.
Any issues (with pupils/video etc) have been dealt with so quickly it’s astonishing.

Working with musicteachers.co.uk has been a pleasure. They have great technical support for teachers and students, an excellent online teaching platform, helpful staff and an easy to follow website. They have made the administration side of teaching music so much easier for me.

Got a refund due to a teacher no longer able to give lesons. The refund was promptly actioned. The service, teachers and lessons were excellent and run very smoothly.

MusicTeachers is run by a very friendly, responsive team who helped me fully in the set up process (which involves getting a DBS check to ensure all students are safe when learning with their teachers), helping choose and edit the right photos and profile text to stand out, in addition to answering any queries I have had quickly and even helping meet with students before their first lesson with me, to ensure they are technically able to do so for online lessons.

The platform is super easy to use, for messaging pupils, setting up lessons and seeing earnings. There is an online classroom too (though you're also free to use another platform like Google meet if you wish). They charge quite a high commission to teachers on lessons taught (which reduces the more hours you have taught on the platform), which at first put me off as having been teaching for over 15 years, I do have students from other platforms where I pay for a premium advert but then keep all earnings; however their investment in advertising and attention to a quality student experience most definitely shows and sets them apart from other platforms in a big way, as I have had so many new students from them in a very short period of time that I am about to have to place an advisory that I have only limited availability left!! All students who have joined me through the site are a joy to teach and I fully believe therefore that the commission paid is a worthy business expense, as I wouldn't have been able to help those students without MusicTeachers and I will definitely be remaining a teacher on their site. I recommend them wholeheartedly to other music teachers, whether you teach online or in-person and for students it's a fantastic platform as you can search through multiple profiles easily and find the right teacher for you.
