MyBond is financial service that helps tenants pay their rental bond. Since March 2021, MyBond has helped over 500 customers across New South Wales, Victoria, and soon Queensland (as of 1st of November) with further expansion across other states and territories in the coming year. There is no other product similar of its kind in the market. A simple and straightforward fee of "One Week Only”; MyBond can pay a tenants’ entire bond for a fee of just one week’s rent. In an expensive city like Sydney, it’s a natural barrier for tenants from all walks of life to raise another four weeks rent alongside the cost of moving whilst still waiting for their previous rental bond to be refunded. Thus, MyBond's unique service is becoming a popular alternative and solution to paying rental bonds.

Don't do it ,try everything else first!
In short - don't do it! When you offer to make a payment plan it's never enough, they decline it so the fees build up. They are now claiming be charging 25-48% interest on outstanding balances so people can never pay them off completely, and from what I can understand, this is actually illegal.
BEWARE! REPORT THEM TO AFCA
THE AUSTRALIAN FINANCIAL COMPLAINTS AUTHORITY IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU, MYBOND ARE OPERATING ILLEGALLY. This company do not abide by their own contract terms! They change them without any warning and act illegally. They will suddenly demand you pay back the full bond, and place you and your guarantor in debt collection when you don’t. They illegally increase charges outside of the contract terms and charge you additional payments, or the full bond, on multiple occassions and without any warning. They charge your bank account without authority and for payments you do not owe. They harrass you when they want money, and treat you disrespectfully or not respond at all, when you need them. Avoid at all costs as they trap you within a contract, and then change the terms and you can’t do anything about it.
If I could give one star I would
If I could give one star I would. Spoke to a Chris and Melissa and I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. A aid these people at all costs. They change the terms and conditions without notice. They just send a rude and demanding email demanding payment. If you can not pay they get abusive over the phone. They refuse to listen to your current circumstances and refuse to make a realistic repayment plan with you. It’s their way your no way. I wa told by Melissa on the phone “Just pay us your bond back and we can all get on with our lives”! No compassion No understanding of anyone’s circumstances! Stay clear of them at all costs! I am sure there are more helpful places to get a bond then MyBond
Melissa Jones at My Bind is one of the rudest judgmental people I have ever come across. Show no compassion to people’s circumstances even though her bio online claims she does! She will google the house you are renting and then judge your situation in the type of house you are renting. I can not emphasise enough stay away from them!
This is my 2nd time writing a 1 star…
This is my 2nd time writing a 1 star review for this company. They have sent my account to a debt collector and i have had enough.
I was moving out of my unit and doing a transfer of lease to the new tenant taking over. Since this was a transfer and not a break lease there was no new bond to be created for the property.
I called MyBond and spoke to someone over the phone who informed me that as long as I didn’t change the email on the transfer of bond through the RTA that it would be okay. A few days later I contacted MyBond asking for my Bond number so i could do the transfer and i was met with the response of “we dont do transfer of bonds”. This isn’t the first time i have been told a different response from an employee. I sat on the phone arguing for over 20 minutes with staff insinuating that i was making up what i had been told and the staff were denying that anyone spoke to me regarding a transfer and I wouldn’t be told that. I proceeded to be told that i either had to break my lease (which was too late to do as it was 2 days out from the tenant moving in) or i just have to let the tenant move in under my name and hope they don’t destroy the place otherwise im liable and will have to pay. When i said so basically im fu**ked then, the staff member replied with “yep pretty much”, yeah cheers thanks.
After pushing for a resolution for over 30 minutes now i was finally met with the solution to get the new tenant to buy out the bond from the company and they will then own the bond with the RTA and my name will be removed from the bond.
An invoice was sent out to me and the new tenant. He told me it had been paid, which i believed as i had not heard anything from my bond. Until I received yesterday a letter from ARMA debt collectors wanting $2k + to resolve my account with my bond.
I send an email to a “Raymond” from my bond whos words were
We sent the invoice to - but it hasn't been paid, your account has been referred to our debt collection agency ARMA, you can make an arrangement with them -
No explanation, no nothing. I AM THE CUSTOMER, you are the company! You knew the situation and if the new tenant had not paid then it was YOUR responsibility to call me and let me know so i could follow up with him. It is not my responsibility to call your office time after time for answers which i always seem to have to do. The customer service and communication is disgusting.
I received a receipt showing the account had been paid recently which i reached out to mybond to ask what was happening and why it had been forwarded to a debt collector and i was told it was being looked into and I would receive a phone call in the afternoon.
It is now the afternoon and not to my surprise at all i have received no phone call. So now i am absolutely pi**ssed off and disgusted.
The co owner replied to my previous review saying we would receive a phone call, neither myself or my partner received any phone call from him, this company does not want to take responsibility for anyones actions.
I have recommended so many friends and families to this company and i will NEVER ever send anyone to this company again. The way they have made my life so hard and stressful, i would not want anyone to have to go through the sh**tshow i have been through.
Quick and friendly service

The time and effort put in by all the staff to make it happen is second to none. Integrity and honesty. The ability to TALK TOO you, instead of being spoken at, and inform you of what they can and cannot help you with. Although in my opinion, there is probably not much they couldn’t help you with in terms of helping you with your bond etc… Would highly recommend👍🏼 Very professional.
