I collected the wheel the following day and the guys in the garage not only put the wheel back on, but ensured all wheel nuts on other wheels were tight enough.

Booked wheel alignment 2 weeks in a row. Both times arrived and after 20min waiting get told it’s going to be a 2-3 hr delay. Even when I checked at the time of booking that it would be done on arrival. No manager on site to speak to and worker refused to give his name

My Car and the so called Wheel Alignment
My car was booked in for "Essential service and wheel alignment". I also requested that if I brought my car in early 8am, could I get it back by 4pm the latest as I was leaving for NSW, and the service man behind the counter said it should be fine. I didn't get my car back until 2 mins before My Car closed at 5:30pm, and when I drove the car back to where I was staying it kept pulling towards the side of the road, I knew then that the wheel alignment was either not completed correctly or hadn't been done, and the worst part I couldn't stay as I had to return to NSW for work.

Not impressed
Made a booking for first thing in the morning, and was told would be "about an hour". When I came back an hour later, discovered the job had only just been started. After leaving I discovered a deep scratch on the steering wheel, probably caused by the mechanic holding a tool while reaching in to turn the wheel.

Recently had a a puncture and a slow leak in two tyres and with the puncture repair for life was highly valuable. The team at Carrum Downs told me to bring it in the next morning first thing...30mins later I drove off with both tyres fixed...Really happy and impressed by the service..so much so I am thinking about getting my car serviced there as well.

On our initial call Thursday 9 Feb, we were told that they would work on the car the following day, which is the only reason I used them. Unfortunately, they did not start on the car until a week later. I told them from the very beginning that it is our work van and that it is urgent we get it back, as we can't trade without it. We could not trade for over a week and a half! The only reason they started on it was because we were calling them everyday and I showed a lot of frustration on wait.
Furthermore, they also said that the car would be ready to be picked up on Friday 17 Feb afternoon, the car was not ready until Tuesday 21 Feb.
Lastly, their phone etiquette is atrocious.
Possibly the worst mechanics I have ever dealt with.

Too busy to do safety check / test drive?
I put my car in for a scheduled service.
They didn’t connect it to the computer assessment as the car is still showing on the dashboard that it needs a service.
No test drive was done to check for any other things that may have needed doing as the kms were the same as when I dropped it off.
No safety check was done. I wasn’t told whether brakes / tyres etc were okay or might need doing soon. One of my tyres showed on my dashboard as well below the recommended inflation just 2 days after the service.
It was not the usual extra service that I would expect from mycar so I was quite disappointed and am not sure that I can trust that everything in the actual service was done. I’m unlikely to return even though it is in a convenient location.
Dishonest, Incompetent and do not operate in good faith.
Took over 4 months to get a quotation while they held onto my car. Store did not care.
Went through the head office to get help - head office team were great.
But kept getting promises from them that the store would call me - which they never did.
No one cares how far out of pocket I am having to pay insurance and rego on the vehicle, or having to pay to borrow a car so I can get to work.
Other things to note: They always just say they are too busy, when querying why they missed crucial parts of a service they just say they are understaffed - not too understaffed to charge for parts of a service they admit to having not done.
On one occasion the store manager was "too busy" to talk to me, but can be heard talking his admin staff through the conversation so he wouldn't have to talk to me.
I do believe that this issue is isolated to the Carrum Downs, as I have had great service from other stores (e.g. Frankston).

The sign on the door says open at 8am so I booked my car in for a service first thing Tuesday. No-one showed up until 9am I was waiting for an hour and there were other people waiting for thirty/fourty minutes.

I really don't think the car was touched. Oil was thin and smelled like fuels. No hand marks on dust where fuel filters should have been changed. Only one mechanic present on the day. Can still hear tappets.
Carrum Downs is the worst run tyre…
Carrum Downs is the worst run tyre business I have ever experienced. 3 times I have put our cars in for new tyres and we wait over 7 hours to even get the car back with no explanation at all. Recently I dropped my car off at 9 am and explained I needed it back by 3pm for school pick up. When I went there at 3pm, it hadn’t been touched. They have no idea of time management and give you all the excuses under the sun. This has been happening for the past 3 yrs now. Head office seriously needs to get involved as this business is a local joke.
