Had a RACV tow to My Car Windsor as car was struggling to accelerate to 80 kms. Something to do with the ignition. Problem was resolved.

The team are amazing. Car wouldnt start rang Kenny and he was so supportive. Managed to get the car jump started and made my way over to My Car Windsor. Needed a new battery and 3 tyres. They made a huge effort to complete this for me in a few hours.

Was told l needed windscreen wipers when they gad been replaced only a few months ago.
Was told l needed 4 new tyres when 2 back tyres had plenty of tread. Bob Jane replaced my front two tyres and agreed the back 2 tyres were ok.
I have been going to this petrol station for 15 years to service my car.
Very disappointed with this last visit.

Trustworthy team
I thought I needed a new battery and instead of just putting a new one in the team checked my current battery and said there’s no need to change it which saved me a a few hundred $$
My Cars worse than before
I took my car in for a basic service and said my clutch also needs to be fixed. Also air conditioning. I said call me before you do anything to the car. I was expecting a call. Didn’t receive a call.
Picked up the car only to be told “the clutch needs fixing and the air conditioning”
No shit mate. That’s the reason I brought the car in.
If you told me beforehand you couldn’t do the clutch, I wouldn’t have wasted my money.
He couldn’t even tell me the cost to fix the clutch or air conditioner.
The clutch is literally worse than when it went in.
Poor communication
Unfortunately, I arrived a little late and the staff member I dealt with when I arrived was unfriendly and rude.
When I collected my car after having all four tyres replaced he didn't give me a run down on the new tyres that were put on my car, or the wheel balance that was carried out. He asked how I would be paying and I asked if there is anything he needs to tell me, his answer was no. I am still waiting for my receipt which I hope outlines all of this, to be emailed to me.
I have been using this MyCar centre for a few years and all staff that I have dealt with previously have been amazing, such a shame that this was a bad experience.

Location is great but ......is that sufficient?
Location is great. I booked in and left my car as arranged. I was contacted near closing time to pick up car. Report said new side mirror needed on passenger side and replacement of fan belt needed. I got a phone call a few weeks later and was told that the side mirror was there and could I bring my car in. I asked if the fan belt was there. Yes I was told. I was told to bring my car in on Sat. I did this. I looked at the invoice and asked about the fan belt. I was told the wrong one was ordered. I was told to make another appointment and they would replace the fan belt. They must think I have nothing else to do but leave my car with them.....
1. There should have been contact with me when the service was done. I would have approved the minor repair of the fan belt at that time.
2. The correct fan belt should have been ordered as arranged when I came in to have the side mirror installed
3. I was told the side mirror would be the wrong colour but I was not told that it would not be able to be bent back against the body of the car as the old one could be.
I find it time consuming to use public transport plus getting on and off trams is hard for me. I think better communication would have saved me time and effort.
If no exact preplacement mirror was available then I should have been told before it was ordered. I am still waiting to hear about the fan belt replacement.

Rim Damage Following Tyre Replacement
Rim Damage Following Tyre Replacement
We recently had all four tyres replaced at mycar, spending a significant amount of money, and expected a higher level of service. Unfortunately, the wrap on one of our wheels was damaged during the process. Despite providing clear photos taken the morning we dropped off the vehicle—showing no damage to the rims—and comparing them to photos taken upon collection, which clearly show the damage, mycar has refused to take responsibility.
Previously, we had tyres replaced by Jeep under similar circumstances, and they took full accountability by having the rims repaired. It’s disappointing that mycar has not shown the same level of customer care.
Given this experience, I would not recommend this service centre, especially if you have rims with a wrap.

Overfilling of Oil by Mycar Causing DPF Burn Issues
On 13/12/2024, I had my Mitsubishi Triton serviced (1TA7EY) at MyCar Windsor, Victoria. It was at 180,000kms and was just going to be a normal service. The only thing I did flag over the phone was that I had a crack in my left headlight and would need it replaced.
That afternoon I received a call from the manager stating the car was nearly ready, however he'd "noticed a crack in the headlight" and wondered what I wanted to do about it. I explained I told him that over the phone when I booked it in, and he said he couldn't get it done that day and would have have to come back another day.
I then went in to pick up the car and paid for the service - $1300 total, which shocked me. This didn't include replacement of brakes or the headlight which I stated I required over the phone. I usually come to MyCar for fair servicing costs, etc instead of going to a dealership.
However as soon as I drove it home, my DPF burn light came on. It didn't bother me, as I figured it needed to burn off the soot from not doing highway speeds for a few weeks. The DPF light however stayed on for the next 2 weeks, even though I had driven over 750kms during the Christmas break. This was strange and I had concerns for my DPF, assuming it was clogged and may need to be replaced.
The DPF light went off for a few days, however popped back on at the end of December and stayed on for approximately 3 weeks. This triggered me to speak to my family mechanic down in Geelong (Leather Automotive, Factory 5, 9-11 Leather St, Breakwater) about it. We booked in a time for him to diagnose the issue.
I then left my Triton at his shop on Friday 24/01/2025, leaving it at his shop over the weekend, including Australia Day Public Holiday Mon 27/01/2025. I am a shift worker and I must admit this caused me significant issues being without my car for this period.
I then went and picked up my car from Breakwater and was informed of the following issue:
The DPF could NOT complete a successful burn over the past month or so due to the engine being overfilled with 2 litres of oil at MyCar on 13/12/24. He explained he had to suck out excess oil, however due to the sump being full to the brim of oil this had caused issues to the oil sensor, requiring that to be replaced as well. He explained this was just a mistake on the part of the staff at MyCar, causing further issues down the track that had to be remedied.
He remedied the situation immediately, however cost me an extra $316 to fix. This also unfortunately meant that I was without my car for 5-6 days and needed to ask family members to borrow theirs.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning to MyCar for a service/repairs in the future due to exorbitant costs, poor workmanship and inability to plan ahead regarding the headlight. Frankly, I am quite disappointed with the experience there.
I look forward to any future conversations that can be had with regard to how MyCar wish to remedy this situation.

A good experience overall
It was a good experience overall. The staff were very understanding ( as I was late delivering the car for service) because I had a flat battery before leaving home and the RACV had to put in a new battery. The service personnel were courteous in informing me on the phone what repairs needed to be done. However, they were not able to fix my radio as it went into SEC mode when my battery was flat. I thought that the mechanics should know how to do this simple procedure by inserting the last three digit of the vehicle number ( which I googled and found out on you tube). Overall rating good.
I would like to thank Anjara and Nolan…
I would like to thank Anjara and Nolan for their help in working through scenarios and resolving my car problems! They were communicative, polite and efficient and did the fix in time frames that I needed. As I work shifts, so it needed to be co-ordinated with order of parts and fitting it in. I am just relieved that it’s sorted. Thank you again!
