No free shipping anymore.
Now that they have deleted all of the discount codes from their system that I used to use, it's no longer worth it, the products are just way more expensive than at the shops. After many years of being with them and relying on the discount codes, I've now stopped buying through them. Big W has online layby at normal and sale prices. Shipping times are also too long, and it's difficult to pay off your item early as they require a minimum of 4 separate payments.
Highly recommend
I use My layby often and I have had no issues with them. They get back to me within 24 hours after I email them.
I have also asked them to change my layby a couple of times to a different product and they do this quite quickly.

Ordered a couple things for Christmas I ensured they were paid off before Christmas cut off in November and here I am on the 20th of December with no idea where my Christmas gifts are. They also were not cheap items either.

I have been a customer with My Layby for years now. Up until last year, they were fantastic! Their customer service is now non existent, and the only way to contact them now is by email, once before you are able to call them up. After completing my last layby, I waited weeks for my delivery, only to then receive an email telling me my item is no longer available! Seriously!
I’m not sure if this company has been sold in the last 12 months, but it is VERY poorly run now. I still have one more existing layby, and I’m not expecting it to be delivered due to their poor form lately and also the fact that I am no longer even able to login to my account! You are still taking money from my account each week and I am not even able to see my account. I would like an explanation!
My layby, you really need to lift your game and go back to good old fashioned customer service and also honour these lay-bys!

I canceled two orders and per My layby terms I am entitled to a refund. I was advised back on 8/2 that a refund was issued and that I would receive it in 10-14 business days. It’s now the 8/4 and I’m yet to receive my refund. I’ve sent multiple emails following up and threatening to take this further and they have stopped responding to me now. I want my $617 back!!!
I’ve also had issues with other orders, I had digital and physical gift cards that arrived over a month after they were paid off and also ordered a basketball hoop which was paid off over a month before I needed it and it took over 8 weeks to arrive and missed my sons birthday in late November, since it’s been delivered and we have attempted to errect it we first found that all the bolts were missing from the box and how we have discovered a crucial bracket is also missing from the box. Who is checking to make sure elements are all in the box from suppliers?!
I would never buy from this company again!!!!!!

They take forever to ship a digital item plus when I requested a refund they said they couldn't refund me but I referred them to their terms and conditions then they charge me a hefty price for cancellation fee. And they haven't given me a receipt of refund this company used to be amazing but now it's not worth buying from them they are also the same company laybyland

This is a great way to get items. It's really hot that much more and is a lot better than rent to buy. However they are very slow on delivery you will eventually get your item but expect a long wait that's the only bad part. They used to be very good with delivery
Purchased a computer desk from Layby Never again
Purchased a computer desk from Layby. It said it was in stock. After i had paid for it, i got a message telling me that it was soon to be ready to be shipped. Now they tell me that they have nothing in stock. Every other website said that they were out of stock, That is why i ordered it from Layby. How many other peoples money do they have lying in their bank account, knowing that they cannot fulfil their order. Ordered on the 15th December 2023. fully paid on the 2nd January.

I got an email from my lay-by saying they aware that my mylayby product has not been delivered in time frame of 10 days . The email said they are overloaded with huge delays with leadup to Christmas which is over for its January. Isent an email yesterday as I paid off my lay-by 18 days ago . I waiting for a reply back I cant understand the hold up .
Lies and scams
Purchased an outdoor dining set that was in stock. Offered to pay all upfront to get it faster. Got told it's not possible because their model is lay-by (pay in instalment, stock gets reserved). It didn't sound right to me given any business prefers money today (and reduced warehouse space) rather than money over the next 4 weeks while keeping stock in their warehouse.
4 weeks later I the payment plan was completed and I asked for the order to be shipped, but was told it can take 10-20 days for an order to ship.
After 20 days, I sent an email asking for an ETA. No response. A few days later I got a text notification that the item is unavailable and that I should check my email, but no email arrived. I tried to call the support number in their last email, but only got an automatic answering machine that the company recently moved away from phone support.
THE ITEM IS STILL ADVERTISED AS IN STOCK ON THEIR WEBSITE!!
They have my money, broke their promises and don't respond. Don't make the same mistake I made.

Do not waste your money with this company, it’s nothing more than cash grab scam, I was paying of my children’s Xmas presents from the start of the year. Only to be told the most of my items are out of stock. I ordered mariokart live and they sent me a Chinese version of it and I had to send it back so another present down, with the rest of the orders getting my refund seems to be impossible, I received only half of the refund and still owed a $100, may not be a lot of money for some people but for me being a single mum it’sa lot of money, they said it was processed successfully to account that’s has been closed since august, I have called bank multiple times and the said there is no record of the money since the account does not exist and talk the merchant to trace the money, my Laybuy hasn’t traced the money and are ignoring all my emails, there’s is no number to call. I have contacted consumer affairs again and just waiting for the response in how to proceed in getting my funds back , PLEASE STAY WAY FROM MYLAYBY they take your money and you get nothing in return

Totally agree with other people on here no number to ring anymore I sent a email to ask where my cards where only to get the same email as others that your order needed to be finished by a certain date not that they told you that before you ordered finally received my Woolies one last Friday and received my Cole’s ones today only to get a letter to say ring this number to activate your cards which I rang and the number no longer exists so now I have to email them and wait when it’s convenient for them to reply to see if they will activate the cards what a joke

I was due to recieve my vouchers on the 28th of November however I was told their supplier was not stocking them with this gift card anymore so I could choose a refund. I emailed multiple times and no response. Finally two weeks ago they said I would have the refund by friday. IT HAS NOT ARRIVED. I can not get hold of anyone. I have lodged a claim with the disputes tribunal and with a TV show called Fair Go. No one is answering my emails and the money is not there. I just want to have a conversation with a human but they make it so hard. I am so dissapointed in them!!!

I’ve finished paying for my order 2.5…
I’ve finished paying for my order 2.5 weeks ago. I also had to change my order due to some reason with physical gift cards. I got a reply Monday stating I will have my DIGITAL gift cards this week and still nothing. I’ve tried emailing, Facebook messaging and through this supposed live chat that they have on the website with no reply. I’ve used them in the past and never had issues but after reading the current reviews, i wish I didn’t.
WORST COMPANY
I would give 0 stars if I could. I have paid my order off earlier then it was supposed to yet still have not received my email for shipment. I have sent though multiple emails in regards to my order that was supposed to be received on the 9th before Xmas as it was for a present. Have not received a response. Very hard to contact as now they have moved away from the phone and don’t reply to emails. This is a joke. Will never be purchasing from this company again. Mylayby get your s**t together because your going to loose a lot of customers.
