My review is for Trustpilot

My review is for Trustpilot.

After doing a review as everyone for Mymanuals with 1 star for the exact same reasons as everyone else feeling totally mislead, i now get an e mail saying can i make my review clearer else it gets taken off. Trustpilot can see all these bad reviews from everyone and STILL Question it. I lost faith !
Update. Mymanuals though trust pilot thought i was giving review NOT based on a Genuine Experience lol
I now just sent in copy pages off bank statements with the payments taken from me when i ordered!!!!

Like other people I thought I’d bought one manual at £1.49 but no, 3 days later they take £24.90. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS. What a way to fleece people.

Close Shave

This is not really a review but, to saythank you to all those subscibers who sent in reviews of mymanuals.net.
I wasabout to complete my purchase when I felt that Oh! Oh! sensation. Upon opening my TrustPilot accountand seeing the 'zillions'of 1* reviews; phew!!!! What a narrow escape. Thank you reviewers and TrustPilot.

I thought I was street wise.

I thought I was street wise, but this company got one over on me. Like most reviewers here, I was hoodwinked into a monthly subscription. I thought I had just bought a manual for £1.49, and thought nothing more of it until I noticed a 'Pending Payment' notice on my credit card for £24.90. It was actually the second payment of the monthly scheme which I had apparently, unknowingly, signed up to. First call was to the cc company, who blocked any further payments. Then an email to cancel the rogue subscription. If the 800 bad reviews on here lost only £25, that's £20,000 by dubious selling. Certainly need stopping.

Update 9/2/23: Apparently MyManuals have asked Trustpilot for my contact details so they could 'better understand my experience', and Trustpilot have advised that, if I did not comply, the review might be deleted. I thought I'd explained my problem quite clearly.

UPDATE 16/3/2023 - CONCLUSION OF MY COMPLAINT

I followed up their invitation to contact them. I put my case, and respectfully suggested the site needed tweaking to remove any further misunderstandings. As a result, they refunded, in a polite manner, the 2 payments I had objected to The matter is now resolved to my satisfaction. Thank you MyManuals.

Scam scam scam took £149 from my…

Scam scam scam took £149 from my account took 3 phone calls to receive the correct manual. Then took 24 pounds from my account 3 days after. Phone them up thay told me a had signed up to a monthly contract. Could not get a refund phone the bank thay told me it was perfectly league. So blocked them from tacking any more money. And cancelled my subscription to the site. Be aware read the small print carefully. If you can find it of course. And see it as it will be very small. It really needs shutting down or make things more clear. On the good side I did get the manual for my yamaha keyboard at nearly 26 pounds date it happened 25 January 2023.

NOTE you are subscribing to a MONTHLY paymemt

Should of looked at Trustpilot first. Downlowed a manual for £1.49 and a couple of days later noticed on my Bank Statement a second amount taken by mymanuals.net for £24.90. It was then looking back at their site I worked out what they did. There is nothing up from to state that you are signing up for a subscription which I cancelled and asked for my money back. I wait hopefully! Keep away from this site!

Good response after exchange of emails

They’ve caught me out as well, £1.49, couldn’t find the manual I wanted (admittedly from 1980!) 3 days later took £24.90 from my card. After an exchanging about 3 emails each way, they have refunded the £24.90, and cancelled the monthly subscription, so I withdraw my earlier rating.

Yes I fell for the Scam

Yes I fell for the Scam
Purchased a £1.49 manual which incidentally was no good and attracted a £24.90 debit to my account 3 days later.
Barclay Card actually picked the debit request up and contacted me by text to ask if it was genuine.
However I doubt if I will ever see my money back due to the way this company operates.
Be warned. Stay away from mymanals. They are a bunch of thieves.

Total Rip Off

Fell for the same thing as everyone and ended up paying £24.90. I am contacting the FCA about this company.

they rely on you buying this on your phone so you wont see the £24.90 that they are signing you up for.

Mymanuals are a Con-Company

you Buy a manual for £1.49 then 3 days latter you are on a Monthly Subscription of £24.90 until you stop it.
They are con artist, please don't let them con you'

SCAM BEWARE AVOID
Like all the other comments below this is a scam. You think you are getting a digital download for £1.49 but they then use your card details to enforce a monthly subscription charge( nice little earner for them). And the best part is they don't even provide the manual you originally paid the 1.49 for. Apparently they are unable to provide a refund which is a load of rubbish. AVOID

UPDATE
Had to get the bank involved which was a hassle, but eventually got a refund on the subscription. Did not however get a usable manual.

Update
So great, Trustpilot request you give your details to the con artist you are complaining about so they can respond, and said con artist then inundates you with spam emails.

My manuals I certainly had an experience I sent email outlining what I wanted giving exact details and received no reply, I waited a couple of days to see what the reply.

My manuals is a scam I asked for a manual which means a guide how to use set an appliance I received an electrical circuit board for which I paid 1.49 I then received a bill for 24.94 for a subscription to my manuals My fault for not cancelling within 3 days but to charge for nothing is robbery without violence

Deliberately misleading scammers

Deliberately misleading scammers. Unless you check the T’s and C’s in detail (and who does that for such cheap and seemingly simple transactions?)you do not know that you are signing up to a £25 per month subscription service for the initial £1.49 payment if you do not cancel within 3 days. I got a refund by makes various professional threats of further action. Don’t go near these guys their website is deliberately designed to mislead hence the level of poor reviews on here. The manual I was sent I later found could be obtained for free elsewhere!!!!

TOTAL SCAM

Had to give one star to write the review, but would definitely only give no stars. I have had exactly the same experience as others, in that they tried to take £24.90 out of my account but were prevented by Santander who are aware of this company's scam activity. I will also be getting back my £1.49 that I paid them for a non-existant manual that I needed.

I ordered a manual for a bread making…

I ordered a manual for a bread making machine. They charged me £1.49. Did not receive anything, cancelled my subscription immediately. They are true scam artists and should be taken of the internet.

Scam

A complete con. I wanted one manual but very surreptitiously they have their charge of £1.49 as an introductory offer followed by monthly payments of £24.90. This is not made at all clear & not one review has been favourable. It was also very difficult to unsubscribe as the site kept refusing my email address and/or my password.
Do not touch this company or what appears to be the parent company

Total Fraud

Total Fraud, Beware.
I went into a car park in Woodbridge Suffolk where the payment machine was not working.
There telephone number was in the car park for paying by phone.
I telephoned but something did not feel right so I just left.

Failed yet again to HONOUR the Immediate Download statement.

From MyManuals - Unfortunately, you have decided to leave us by unsubscribing from our unlimited premium service. From now on, you won’t have access anymore to our service.

We can confirm that your subscription is cancelled thereafter no further charges will apply in the future.

Reply from me - I decided to cancel my subscription due to ‘NOT' being able to get my immediate download as mentioned on your web-page.

This has yet again encouraged me to leave yet another one star rating on Trustpilot, as you have failed miserably not to ‘Honour' your immediate download statement.

I DID NOT GET ANY DOWNLOAD, after paying the £1.49. This allowed the user to use the site for 3 days, as I did not get the download within the 3 days so it was prudent to cancel the account to prohibit them from taking over £24.00 per month.

This £1.49 was paid for 17th December 2022 and as at the 22nd December still no download.

I have to be fair-manual received after I panicked.

I have to be fair. I asked for a specific user manual for an air source heat pump - the charge was £1.49. I logged into the website and couldn't find the manual I wanted. I then came on the Trustpilot site and saw references to scams - cancelled my credit card and demanded my money back even tho a small amount and confirmation no further charges would be incurred. About an hour later the User manual requested arrived by email. BUT I have cancelled my card as a precaution.
