Avoid Obligo at all costs.

I am trying to cancel my account from auto-renewing after using this service for one year, and Obligo will not let me cancel the account through the website or customer service. They told me I am only able to cancel my account through my property manager, who herself is very unresponsive.

I find it unbelievable I cannot cancel my Obligo account or payment through Obligo.

Recommended. Was able to apply and authorized in matter of minutes!! Without spending i big amount of money upfront as deposit! Wasn't aware of this feature but i think can help on expenses when moving.

Highly recommend to renters who are looking to save some money on deposit. The process is extremely easy and user friendly.

I highly recommend using Obligo for your next security deposit! Instead of paying your full security deposit, you are able to pay a very small fee each month (or pre pay for the year) where your landlord can charge you for any damages upon move out instead of paying a lump some and receiving it back at the end. This helped my roommates and I not have to tie up our money into a heavy security deposit fee! Their customer service is great as well!

The $190.00 service fee was not disclosed until the very end of the processing. Full disclosure should have been at the beginning. The directions stated for US Bank, which is a mortgage company, and after one hour with online chat, finally figured out it was for a bank within the United States. The service fee really irked me.
